We bought our house in 1998 and have had trouble with leaks almost from the get-go. We had it reroofed with foam through a local Santa Fe roofer in 2003, and it began leaking about three years later. It turns out the acrylic paint they used on their foam was not that great. I've been painting it myself with silicone roof paint, but the leaks finally caught up to my efforts this past winter. We chose 99 Restoration because of their good reputation, and they did not disappoint. Tyler was helpful and responsive to questions. They waited for the right weather to do the best job possible. The polyurea lining on top of the new foam roof seems super-durable, and I feel I can sleep peacefully while I'm listening to the rain fall on our roof. Tyler and Ali did a great job, and I'm confident about the results. I highly recommend them.

I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the…read morecrew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring. Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job. Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect. The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired. Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring. I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

We chose the dust free option for removing the existing floor tile and are glad we did. The installers, David and Joseph are skilled and take pride in their work. We are very pleased with the outcome and have received several compliments. A new floor really changes the look of a house.

Turns out we had issues with our roof that not many wanted to deal with. Another roofer who came to look at our roof told us why we weren't getting any follow-up and then he didn't follow-up either. The problem with contractors in this city is a lot of them are flakes. They don't show up or they don't follow through. I won't say he's a bad roofer. I would just hope that contractors could be a little more professional overall.

The company he had when I met him has since been shut down, along with a pet shop he used to run and 'Tex Mex' is his latest dog-and-pony show. Everything about this kid is fake. I spoke with a certain Tom who promised he would send his supervisor for the estimate within a couple of days but will confirm a more exact date after speaking to said supervisor. I did not hear back from him at the end of the day. The next morning on 07/17, I called to follow up and a guy again by the name of Tom answered it. He was kind of irate and asked me "who are you?" I told him we spoke yesterday regarding a repair estimate. His response was "How could I have spoken to you? In the first place, I am in Germany? What is the name of my company?" I could sense that he was thinking I was just making a story of that phone call. The reception from the start of the call and the way the conversation was proceeding was very un-friendly to the point of being rude. What could have been said in a more professional fashion was done so crudely. So I said, "Oh forget it, I am no longer interested to seek your help". He responded: "Me either and do not call again" He could be having a bad day but what a way to bring it in front of a potential customer. If you need a roof repair, I'm sure there are other outfits who can be professional enough and grateful for any new business to be knocking on their door. I will never recommend this business to anyone!

I had 3 roofers come out to investigate the roof leak I had in my living room. One said that the entire roof needed to be replaced, 14,000 dollars. The 2nd roofer said that entire part of the roof needed replacing, 4,600 dollars. Tom came out and said that my overall roof was in great shape and still had about 7-10 years of life in it. He identified the leak as need ih ng to replace the valley where two slopes of my gable roof came together. He removed and installed a new dead valley and the shingles 3 feet up on both sides, 950.00 dollars. So many roofers will recommend a full roof change, even when it's not needed. Tom is polite, very informative, and will take care of the problem without over diagnosing the problem.
