He was timely and took pictures to show what was happening without us having to go on the roof & he didn't charge an extra fee to come look at our house in Los Lunas which was very appreciated. read more

Metal roof on mobile home with insulation...very satisfied with the end result. AJ and staff are professional

Communication could be improved about start times and scheduling from their office staff but otherwise job site communication is 10/10. They work very efficiently, quickly and do high quality work. The weather impacted a lot of their time but they communicated well and informed me when they'd be able to continue the project. It ended up being more expensive then originally quoted due to unforeseen damages. Price is very responsible given the labor involved. They cleaned up the area nicely before leaving and always asked before leaving items behind. They even got an electrician involved when needed to ensure the best quality. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof/roof repair. 8 year warranties and yearly checks? Can't say no to that! read more

They took down the old gutter which wasn't pitched correctly and replaced it with a new larger gutter, pitched correctly and a larger downspout. I also asked to have my roof inspected and he showed me where the tar around every vent was failing and used silicone caulk to fix them. I was fortunate that they came out the next morning and were done in great time read more

I had AJ's come out and replace my tar and gravel roof with TPO. From the moment I called for the estimate to the wrapping up of the work, they were professional and great to work with. The prices were fair and it's definitely worth the money. They were quick and clean and did and amazing job to improve my 40-year-old house and enhance the roofing for years to come. I will definitely be calling them back if I ever need something again. read more

Did not show up at the agreed time. When that happens, I'm likely to move on to the next business

At the time of this writing, the work has not been completed. However, they have done the roof inspection, and gave me a complete list of what should be done for maintenance and repairs. I have signed a contract agreement for them to do the work and it will be done within the two weeks. I have absolute confidence they will do an excellent job. Alex, who met me at the house to get up on the roof and look it over is a gentleman and very professional. read more

AJ's has been doing maintenance on my tar & gravel roof over the years and installed a TPO roof on my garden shed a few years ago -- finally stopping its persistent leaks. When it was time for a new roof, I got estimates from other roofers. AJ's was the obvious choice based on cost and my past experience with them. The roofing team arrived early on the first day -- going above and beyond by taking my garbage bin out to the street! AJ's has modern equipment and a very efficient re-roofing process. The tear-off of the old roof and the installation of the new TPO roof were done within two days. At the end of each day, they inspected the area around my house and removed any debris from their work. One of the best aspects was the project photos. AJ's provided links showing the work done each day, so I was able to see the tear-down process and my brand-new roof, complete with new canales, TPO vents, and leak-proof parapet edging. With the excellent (transferable) warranties, I am confident my new roof will protect my home for years to come. read more

Ivan and the crew did a remarkable job of repairing any and all cracks and holes in my flat roof. I hired them to conduct a maintenance service on my house, which is on the market. I wanted to preemt a poor inspection report and they did a terrific job of bringing my 30 year old roof up to date. The price was VERY reasonable; the crew was polite, neat and completed the job in about 3 hours. I would hightly recommend AJs for all your roofing needs and I'm a fairly picky customer. read more

Absolutely recommend this company. From the initial estimate, to an emergency interim repair and final project completion, Alex and others I dealt were beyond amazing. Not only were they all extremely timely in getting back to me with information about my project, when the project started they were very fast & efficient. Alex kept me informed, every step of the way, with pictures of things that were happening and even walking me through many updates as progress moved along. The customer service I received was outstanding, that coupled with the work completed & products used, they were very worth the price, as far as I can tell. 10/10 definitely recommend. Give Alex a raise! read more

AJ's Professional Contracting - Final product - Roofing Near Me

They advertise roofing and general construction. I sent a request for a general and received an immediate response informing me that the do roofing only. Me thinks they need to correct their Yelp account and save from misleading people. I would contact them again when I need roofing work down because of their responsiveness. read more

AJ's stripped the roofing down to the metal deck and placed a layer of Densdeck (concrete board) on top of the metal deck followed by 6 inches of insulation and another layer of Densdeck and finished with a TPO roof. Because of the noise issues we were experiencing with the metal deck we were looking for solutions. Alex knew exactly the materials needed to improve the noise issue, and I talked with a lot of roofers. In fact the noise is so greatly improved it is no longer really an issue and we have had significant rain since the install in February and no water penetration. The pricing was excellent, the warranty as good or better than most of the quotes we received and we are delighted with the new roof. The only possible caution is that they could have used a bit more plastic sheeting to contain the roofing debris from the tear off. AJ's Professional Contracting is highly recommended! read more

Very good service for estimate. Was on time, and thoroughly reviewed roof and needed maintenance. Gave us estimate on the spot. Reasonably priced! They were the only ones that mentioned that the roofing penetrations should have the existing mortar removed to the base of the penetration and then re-sealed with newer material that would last longer than used in the past. All other roofing companies wanted to use go over the existing mortar. read more

No drama! When they came to look at the house for the estimate, he was very careful to give me all the information. He took photographs of the roof, he drew diagrams to explain, he asked me if I was comfortable to get up on the ladder, and then showed me the issues. He found so many issues and problems, that none of the other contractors found, however, the estimate wasn't that much more. He finished on time. There was an issue getting some of the products and they communicated to keep me informed, then quickly got me rescheduled. The work looks good. The photographs of the roof looked terrific. Through the whole process, I was educated about roofs and about my roof in particular. My review? Yes, yes, yes. Solid people, solid work, courteous and pleasant to deal with. Everything you want in a contractor. read more

We had a roof replaced 4 years ago by Oteros, they went out of business & then reopened & refused to honor warranties on their shoddy work. Damage inside the house and when the ceiling in the dining room started to leak and come apart we called AJ's. They came out and Alex was Professional explained what was going on, checked for water damage and extent. We received quote and decided to go with them. Their crew was managed by Ivan and they worked hard. They pulled up layers of roof including the new and replaced wood underneath that had become wet, in doing so they found water coming from under tiles of the garage, they then pulled tiles and did the same and then replaced them. Took about 2 1/2 days. I think the only thing I suggest is more tarps to catch the garbage other than that they really work hard for you. They raised the roof slightly so the water will now flow to canalies. You can choose price or someone who will try their best to do a good job and that's really hard to find. What they did cost more than our whole first roof 4 years ago. So don't choose price when picking a roofing Company. Do as I did read reviews, check BBB and talk to them. They also were the only ones who showed up and followed through with an estimate. Thank you Alex and Ivan, who I learned have been good friends for a long time. read more

AJ and His crew worked on MY carport roof and finished it in seven hrs. It looks great. I'm so glad that He did the work. I'm very happy with the results. He tore off all of the old underlayment, rolled roofing and put down all new TPO. It is much ticker than what's on My regular roof. That's a good thing. I will be calling Him when the whole house needs to be redone. Thanks again AJ and Your great crew. read more

Carlos was here right on time for the estimate. He gave me a great price but the first person that came said he'd beat his price so I went with them since they came first.. But I will keep them in my list of contacts since they gave me the best price at the outset. Thanks for your time. read more

We had suffered wind damage on a flat section of our roof, AJ's did a fantastic reroofing job for us this spring in between more wind storms. I highly recommend them for any roofing job. We needed an inspection to decide about the purchase of a property, and AJ's was able to schedule it and do a very thorough inspection and estimate for us within 24 hours. Extremely professional and impressive, and if we had gone on to buy that home, they would be doing the roof for us right now. read more

When I realized I needed to reroof my house, at first I was totally daunted, not knowing how to find a reliable roofer. Eventually AJs was recommended by other roofers who were too busy to take the job. AJs came to my house, listened to my concerns, and gave a very competitive bid. I awarded the bid to AJs because their price was right but more importantly, their bid included some work I felt really needed to be done, that other bidders had ignored or glossed over, and had not included in their bids. For instance, I knew some of the decking needed to be replaced, which meant the old roof needed to be totally removed. AJs was the only roofer who had a plan for that and included the work in their bid. The installation of the new roof went smoothly, and now here I sit in the rain and snow, cozy under my new TPO roof. Working with AJs and their crew was easy: the owner and crew were all extremely professional, and I am very glad they were recommended to me. In turn I am recommending them on Yelp. read more

AJ's was amazing. Although they weren't able to give us a quote within that same week, they were able to start the work quickly after we agreed to have them do the work. Very trustworthy and they do excellent work. Highly recommend. read more

I'm not sure how I found AJ's but I am so glad that I found them. They provided a very competitive bid for a new roof and gutters. We were on a tight time frame for our project and they managed to squeeze us in. On the day of the job they arrived early and literally had the roof installed in one day. They came back the next day to do the gutters and were finished by early afternoon. These guys are the real deal. Many contractors in Albuquerque do not show up when they say they will and don't always clean up after themselves. AJ's is unlike the others. They do it all and they are professional. The owner Alex is wonderful to work with. He shows up onsite to ensure the job is going well and will not rest until you're happy. They are my go-to roofers now! read more

Finally, a company that has INTEGRITY. When you call, someone answers the phone, they call you back, they show up when they say they are going to. They get the job done and leave your property every day in satisfactory and safe condition. They do an excellent job and stand by their work. If you even suspect a problem, they are back on your roof checking it out. Workers are polite. They treat you like family. I only wish that more companies in NM had their ethic. read more
