On top of the overall quality work and results of replacing our roof, our project manager, Lawrence, is top notch! His customer service is a 10! He kept us informed, answered all our questions, and addressed the few aesthetic things we wanted addressed. Luis and his crew know what they are doing and we are happy with the quality results. I bought a house that had recently received a "roof restoration" from Rhino. The coating was applied over loose rock and has been a pain since shortly after we moved in. Water routinely gets under the coating. Rhino comes out and fixes the holes underwarranty but it doesn't take action to stop it from happening again or address the damage under the coating. I am currently on my roof walking around after the rain and areas are squishy with water pushing up through the cracks and holes in the coating. I have contacted them and walked the roof with them and they assure me the coating was applied correctly. I asked for documentation several months ago and have yet to receive it. read more

We called Rhino Roofing to fix a small leak in our detached garage. Instead, they convinced us that our home had hail damage, even though we'd had no prior issues. They contacted our insurance company directly (which led to an increase in our premium), and it was determined that only the parapets needed replacement. Rhino charged over $11,000 for that limited work, we paid a $1,000 deductible. Shortly after, we experienced five major leaks inside our home. We had to cut holes in the ceilings of three rooms to release trapped water. Rhino came out once to patch the ceiling in one room, then ignored our repeated emails and phone calls regarding the other two. Fast forward to this year: the parapets they installed are now cracked along the entire perimeter. Multiple reputable roofers inspected the work and all said the same thing -- "whoever did this used the wrong materials and did it incorrectly." When I called Rhino, the conversation was uncomfortable. They offered to redo both roofs with foam at no cost, but after researching foam roofing, I learned it can cause serious problems if not correctly applied. I asked to split the cost of TPO instead. They agreed, but then sent a proposal that was higher than other companies' full quotes and only offered a three-year warranty. All other companies offered at least 10. Charlie said it was because we were not paying "full price". We reached out to Charlie, the general manager, to discuss this -- he never returned our calls or emails. After realizing Rhino's work was both negligent and overpriced, and that they would not stand behind their work, we chose to hire another roofer. My advice: Be very careful before hiring this company. Do your research, get multiple quotes, and listen for common feedback from other professionals. In our experience, Rhino Roofing overcharged, performed poor-quality work, and failed to take accountability, even under "new management," which appears to include the same people we originally dealt with. read more

The company Combes the neighborhood looking at roofs and then approaches the resident to get them to commit to a new roof, do I did that and got approval from my insurance company. The adjuster came by and submitted the estimate but it was for repairs only so the company didn't care much for that answer so they ghosted me. This company is bad news. They were sent to me by an aggressive solar company who was trying to convince me to have my entire roof re-done to fold it into a my solar rebate in a way that seemed fairly questionable from a tax perspective...but all of that aside... When the guy showed up to give me a quote he said I needed my roof to be completely replaced asap and pushed me to call my insurance company and file a hail damage claim. I wasn't thrilled about that, but figured if there really was hail damage... The insurance assessor found no sign of hail damage, so that was just a waste of everyone's time. The representative at State Farm said they were receiving a huge increase in such cases of claims pushed by roofers that weren't really valid. After the claim was open, but before the State Farm assessor came, the guy from Rhino came back a second time with a co-worker because they needed to look at the roof more thoroughly to give me a proper quote. They offered to come when I wasn't home, which I wasn't thrilled about, so I made sure to be home. I was inside working when I heard drilling on my roof! I ran outside and asked what they were doing. They said the "had" to take core samples to give me a full quote. I said I wasn't even sure I needed to have my roof re-done and really didn't want holes in it! They rolled their eyes and said they were filling them and acted like it didn't matter because my roof would be replaced soon. A friend who is a contractor, and the roofer I am actually going to use, have both looked at my roof since. I did not tell them anything about Rhino, but they both commented about an excessive number of cores in my roof and that the way they have been filled with tar isn't sufficient. On the same day as the coring visit, the guys from Rhino pushed to come inside my house and I said I wasn't comfortable (this was well before vaccines came out and neither one was wearing their mask over their nose.) I really had to push back hard and play the "I have cancer card" to get them to back off. That wasn't impressive either. Here we are many months (and a real hail storm) later, and the roofer I trust, who my family has used for 30+ years, checked out my roof and says it's in great condition and just needs a few small repairs here and there for a whopping total of $650. One of the line items in the quote is repairing all of the cores taken by Rhino! Ugh. So now I am paying someone else to fix the damage they caused, and I didn't even hire them! read more

Rhino Roofing put a metal roof on my house in 2011.. Ten years later I was painting the trim ( I have a steep 12/12 pitch and no reason to attempt climbing it... or so I thought) and discovered where they had punctured the metal and instead of replacing it, and they covered up the damage by making it look like a caulking gun had leaked silicone glue. I never complained about it until I got near the silicone this year thinking that all I had to do was scrape off some silicone caulk, and found that holes in the roofing had been intentionally filled and disguised to appear like something else. Generally, I overlooked most of the problems, but when I found a deliberate cover up... I lost it. Other problems with their installation: 1) they punctured the stucco siding near the front door... they fixed it with the wrong color and I'm still trying to match it 2) They bent the chimney.. guessing somebody was holding on to it to keep from falling since they didn't use safety ropess 3) They broke a ladder I loaned to them 4) They didn't clean up the roofing screws ... I picked up 2 gallon jars of the screws. When I inquired with the manager of the company if they intended to do anything about it...he told they had no obligation to repair the roof, since the company had changed hands since the work was done. Horrible work and Horrible management. The least they should have done was offered to fix their obvious covered up errors. read more

During a recent snow melt, our upstairs bathroom developed a few leaks at the exhaust fan and window header. Our TPO roof was still under warranty, having been replaced in 2019 after storm damage. I called Rhino Roofing and they told me they would get the leak fixed and also repair any damage to the interior of our home. Randy arrived and inspected the roof and found the source of the leak right away. He did the needed repairs and told me that Ed would be fixing the damage to the sheetrock and paint inside the home. I called Rhino Roofing and they scheduled Ed to come out and fix the sheetrock and paint. He removed the damaged paint and patched the sheetrock as needed. He did an excellent job and matched the paint perfectly. Afterward it looked as good as new. We have had heavier snow since and the roof is holding up just fine. We appreciated the quick response and the pride taken in workmanship by Randy and Ed. All in all everyone at Rhino Roofing was a pleasure to work with. read more

Warning! Rhino replaced my roof only 4 years ago and due to poor workmanship, I will most likely need to replace it this summer. Rhino admitted fault to the issue, which was pressure on nail gun set too high and the nails penetrated the material too far and not leaving enough material for retention. Rhino did not offer to replace correctly, instead, did a tack down with nails on outside and covering the exposed nail heads with silicon. If you are even considering using Rhino, save yourself the money, headache and stress and go with another company that stands behind their quality. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. The salesmen seemed good at first, and turned into a typical salesman that did not follow through on anything promised. I wanted Metal roofing, originally he said he can make it happen, when insurance approved everything, then he came back and said the market for metal is too high right now. I asked him to quote me anyways that i would be willing to pay out of pocket. He said he would and never did. I have an addition built onto our house and my #1 issue that i wanted addressed was that i wanted a seamless roof, i didn't want it to look patched together like it was an add on. He said he understood and would get it done right. NOPE, have shingles on the whole roof, and rolled out roofing material on the addition. I asked him to come take a look when the installers were done as i thought the quality of the work was horrible. Paint scratches, drip edge cut horribly and done half assed. He said he would take pictures and let me know. Never heard from him. i followed up a few days later, he said the office was reviewing the photos and would get back with no later than one day. It's been over a week and no word. If you want a cheap roof that is going to cost you alot of money, go ahead and use this company. I would stay away though. Horrible service. What can I say but, Wow!!!! From beginning to end of this roofing project we had a completely professional and great experience with Rhino Roofing. We went with a completely different color of roof. We had a dark brown, but decided to go with a white/gray color and absolutely love it. We requested additional rain diverters be installed. Two were installed, but then we asked Rhino Roofing to install one more over the back of the house on the second story. Andreas came back and did an outstanding job placing rain diverters right where we wanted them. Then we wanted the caulking color changed, and that was redone. Andreas did a fantastic job. Rhino Roofing made sure all of our concerns were addressed and would do follow-up phone calls to make sure everything was done the way we had requested. All of the Rhino Roofing crew worked very hard to get the job done and stayed very focused on getting it done on time. The office staff is also amazing. I had questions about the invoice and Alvida took the time to call and email me explaining the bill to me. They were very transparent and honest. Darrell Maclearn, Sales Manager for Rhino Roofing kept in touch with me and has called me to also be sure all of our concerns were addressed. I had Rhino Roofing replace my roof on 5/30/20. I was then sent an itemized list of all the charges. I was charged for an $950.00 extra for removing and replacing my pre-existing vents and air conditioner. I did call another roofing company they stated they do not charge extra for the above. They also dropped tar all over my brand new cement slab and painted my chimney with non-heat resistant paint. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They put on a new roof with a guarantee, what ever that means to them. The roof started leaking within 4 years. Called them but they blamed it on sticks on the roof. Had to have a reputable company come out to redo the roof. They said that there was no ice shield on a majority of the roof and where the roof vent was the were no cut in the peaks to vent it. Rhino Roofing replaced my roof several months ago. Greg Harris was the project manager and Omar was the supervisor of the crew. Mr. Harris assisted in including the insurance company in the process as my roof had been damaged in a hail storm. He thoroughly explained the process as well as helped streamline all parts of the project. There was a minimal discrepancy in price at the completion of the project and Mr. Harris worked with me to resolve it. The roofing crew was exemplary. They were professional and efficient. The crew was so courteous and thoughtful and continued to keep the area clean as they worked. They kept me informed each step of the process as well as communicated with me to ensure they weren't causing inconveniences as they worked. It has been a long time since I have seen such hard work and a group of people who were so thoughtful and courteous! It was truly refreshing to see! These guys are joke!!! They ripped off our insurance company 20,000.00 bucks plus 2,800.00 more. The roof is ok but they didn't finish the JOB!!!! They left the gutters said they were fine and didn't fix our Roof in the bathroom. When I tried to keep the last check to fix what they didn't. They started talking about lean against our home. Talking about taking us to court!!! The lied about so much stuff and got paid for it!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!
