Turns out we had issues with our roof that not many wanted to deal with. Another roofer who came to look at our roof told us why we weren't getting any follow-up and then he didn't follow-up either. The problem with contractors in this city is a lot of them are flakes. They don't show up or they don't follow through. I won't say he's a bad roofer. I would just hope that contractors could be a little more professional overall.

He spent a lot of time on the roof and then provided us with a price. Let's talk about price. Mission came in at a third of the first estimate we got and was less than half of three other roofing estimates. Not only was the estimate substantially lower than other roofers, but it included replacement of 6 skylights, so we contracted with Mission to replace the roof. Honestly, the price was so reasonable, that I was a little worried that the work might be substandard - but it was what we could afford, and we had so many serious leaks, we couldn't put the work off any longer. Turns out I did not have to worry about the quality of the work at all. During the 3 days it took to do the roof, Santos came out multiple times to check on the work - and not by talking to his workers. He was up on the roof, spending many minutes checking the work. It's been 6 months now, and we've gone through rain, snow and wind. We had one issue with one of the canales during th first rain. Santos came by personally and got it fixed immediately, and we have had no problems since. I couldn't recommend Mission Roofing more if they paid me to. The work was exceptionally high quality. The price was far!! lower than the other roofing companies who gave us prices - by a lot. Santos personally supervised the work from start to finish and he is the nicest person you would ever want to deal with. Everything was left clean when they were done. So price, 100% the best. Quality of work, 100%. Immediate response to any question or issue, 100%. I can't think of a single reason to use any other company.

They took 3 weeks to do the job and the new…read moreEstimator acted like he knew what he was doing but then after I signed the contract, he brought an older man who suddenly decided I needed to have my AC disconnected. I found out he was friends with the plumber, cost be additional $1500. My contract was supposed to include a taper system but half way trough the job I was told it couldn't be done due to a return air duct I have. The taper was 1/4 to 1/2 inch and there is plenty of room under that vent, at least 4 inch clearance. I was credited $1200 when I know that the taper is at least $10K of the job, which by the way was 33K. Then my tarp and some vents I bought disappeared, oh they said they thought it was trash..so rude. They don't come address any questions without three people from the office. I always felt like it was a continuous deal, on eggs shells to have to be sure I babysat them. The crew boss seemed to be working hard I will give him that but his workers had to be watched the entire time. I would not hire them again. I had a similar response that Bob D did in 2013. It seems once they get you to sign they feel free to make changes to their benefit. I had them put on my contract no changes unless written approval is done. The last contract adjustment the estimator conveniently left that off but made sure his funds due statement was there. Guess this new estimator didn't need much scam training. Then he had the nerve to ask for a 5 star review. I have a warranty I am sure they won't honor if something is needed. (names left off intentionally but they know who they are)
