South Common Centre is a mix of an indoor malls and stores closer to Erin Mills Parkway that simulate more of a plaza feel. I have dropped by this mall to visit Supermoon. To access this store requires going through the mall entrance. During this pandemic, you are greeted by security staff. They ask you which stores you are accessing before you proceed. No Frills and Walmart anchor the indoor part of this mall. There is a food court that I have yet to check out. There are a number of businesses, such as Five Guys Burgers and Ghost Kitchens, that stand on their own. I like that Shoppers Drug Mart and a bunch of other business are a part of this mall, but are detached from it in a plaza setting. If you want to buy or fetch stuff, and get in and out of the stores that you want, this setup is ideal for you. I certainly appreciate it. I don't feel comfortable being in a large mall these days. I briefly saw signs for shoe repairs, nail care, and First Choice Haircutters. These services are likely closed these days, as they aren't considered essential. However, when it's safe, I'd like to check them out and this mall a lot more. There is plenty of parking, even outside Walmart. The stores seem a bit on the trendy side. Some of stores look like they have the inventory for a small store but the location for a larger store. The interior looks pretty dated. The exterior looks a bit better with having some new paint to it a few years back. The parking lot is pretty big compared to the mall itself. I guess it gets pretty filled (both cars and public event space) every once in a while based on the event ads in the mall.

Lots of great choices in the food court. I wish I lived closer to try them out. For sit down dining, they also have Earl's Kitchen, which is a great regional chain, and Cactus Club (haven't tried it yet) right across from it. Plenty of parking. The only downside is how busy traffic to and from the mall and freeway is. Friendly service in every store I visited. You can find everything from good values to high end merchandise.

The place is very Picturesque with white shingle houses surrounding the streets. it's a nice getaway for a lazy Sunday afternoon stroll or bike ride for those who can. To add to the view are small specialty shops, bakeries , cafes and branded shops (Rootz, Mendocino, Lululemon, Lole) that people can just go in and shop leisurely. Hopefully I would be able to come back and try one of the restaurants or cafes. Caution : May spend time looking for parking . Remind yourself that Patience is a virtue and dont ruin a good afternoon over spot searching.
