I have dropped by South Common Centre a couple of times and dig it. It's a decent mall with everything that you need. It's also a nice alternative if you're not into a huge mall, such as Erin Mills Town Centre down the road. South Common Centre is a mix of an indoor malls and stores closer to Erin Mills Parkway that simulate more of a plaza feel. I have dropped by this mall to visit Supermoon. To access this store requires going through the mall entrance. During this pandemic, you are greeted by security staff. They ask you which stores you are accessing before you proceed. No Frills and Walmart anchor the indoor part of this mall. There is a food court that I have yet to check out. There are a number of businesses, such as Five Guys Burgers and Ghost Kitchens, that stand on their own. I like that Shoppers Drug Mart and a bunch of other business are a part of this mall, but are detached from it in a plaza setting. If you want to buy or fetch stuff, and get in and out of the stores that you want, this setup is ideal for you. I certainly appreciate it. I don't feel comfortable being in a large mall these days. I briefly saw signs for shoe repairs, nail care, and First Choice Haircutters. These services are likely closed these days, as they aren't considered essential. However, when it's safe, I'd like to check them out and this mall a lot more. There is plenty of parking, even outside Walmart. I didn't experience any craziness getting in and out of the parking lot. (233) read more

Has a wide variety of stores for your shopping needs. No Frills is one of the best in the area with its selections, Walmart is always handy to have around, a Shopper's Drug Mart and Dollarama are frequent stops as well. The food also is plentiful with a Five Guys, Barburrito, Popeye's and Pitaland as the stand outs. There are other businesses as well but I have yet to try them out. read more

With a Walmart, No Frills, and Shoppers Drug Mart as the anchor stores, South Common is a great shopping centre. There is also a dollar store, Starbucks, Five Guys, TD Bank and quite a few other stores. It is one of my favourite shopping experiences in all of Mississauga. read more

Im just going to be blunt about South Common Centre... this is a great example of a dying mall. Sure you got some peripheral lively places that still do good like the TD Bank, 5 Guys, Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart, No Frills, Good Life, and Walmart... but other than that, this is looks like one of those terrible scenes of the failed malls you see on TV. Most things are closed... it looks like it's from the late 70s and the stores that are surviving in there, well, not sure how they are. Parking here can be a complete and utter insanity... between the entrances to No Frills and Walmart. It feels like a real life game of Frogger where you dodge cars who seem to purposely want to run you over. Cars here stop or speed up at random... the more people the screw over, the more points they get. I find the No Frills and Walmart entrance THEE WORST. I used to come here for Good Life but thankfully I moved away from the area. This mall is semi well maintained for a relic. I feel like they're just preserving everything to just show you how life was in the 80s. The air conditioning smells funny and it's humid in the summer. The only 3 decent stores in the area is the Starbucks (which is ok), Shoppers Drug Mart (which is ok), and TD Bank (which is ok). I would never really come here for any purpose to be honest. It's so hard to get out of... it's often a 10 minute ordeal as there are no easy way to get onto Erin Mills North from this spot. Simply put... Meh. read more

While this isn't the most exciting of shopping centres, it does have many staples of everyday life. Walmart, No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollarama and a TD Bank will take care of the majority of your daily needs. There is a Five Guy's, Subway, Popeye's and McDonald's (in the Walmart) for your snacking pleasure. There are a few other stores but these are definitely the highlights. read more

This is a decent mall that really has a lot of the stores you would need. It seems to be in an older community which doesn't make it exciting to hang out in but it has the benefit of not being packed all the time like more popular malls. If you're here to get stuff done or get in and out this mall will not disappoint. There are two nail places and they make sure to take the time getting your nails done nice and they way you want, also their prices are fair and the wait is never long. Some of the other highlights of the mall are Walmart, Shoppers, Dollarama, Starbucks, Subway, EB Games and GoodLife. They also have a couple different major banks, and a handful of major wireless providers as well. There is a medical place and dental office too. The mall is fairly clean, however as for customers, sometimes there are unruly high schoolers that tend to cause some havoc so there must be a school nearby. There is also a shoe repair place that does a really great job! Some faults: the mall isn't pretty like places that spend tons of money on decor and sometimes parking near the Walmart can be chaotic when people don't follow the rules, or basic common sense. Overall, I can't think of something you would need to get done that wouldn't be available at this mall. They do lots of free events for kids too, and that's more than I can say for other malls with tons of money. They seem like a gem for this community. Added point - (for all the book lovers out there): Every year there is a book sale along the mall hallways that raises money for humane societies. There's tons of good books in all kinds of categories and the prices are sooo cheap. Don't miss out! read more

Man, I feel sorry for this mall. While it was never thriving, I remember when the stores were actually open on a Sunday. I walked into the mall on a Sunday at around 3 pm and it was a complete ghost town. While they've renovated slightly since 2000, (at least on the outside), and added a Dollarama, Wal-mart and some stores on the outside, the actual mall in itself is so desolate, it's just depressing. Yes, there's a Goodlife there too and one bar, but it just feels so sad. What's even worse is that the the name of Catholic school (which I forget at this time) next to it, moved all the way to Burnhamthorpe and Ninth Line (practically Oakville). So why come here: Only if you live in the area, in the library next to it and need to pick up something from No Frills, Wal-mart, or Dollarama. Those are the only reasons. One slight benefit though: I find the selection of Asian food better at this No Frills and Wal-mart than the ones in Oakville. There's really not much else to say...not a destination mall or anything. read more

Were it not for the anchor stores and bus station located behind the mall, South Common would have folded a long, long time ago. A lot of people visit South Common. But how many of you actually try walking around inside the mall during the day? I'd wager that there aren't many. The interior is a sad, depressing affair filled with the same old tired mom-and-pop stores that plague virtually every mall (that's not Square One) in Mississauga these days. I've been coming here frequently since the early 2000s (when there was a movie theatre), and it seems that the selection of businesses and food court options hasn't changed at all. Same Subway, same knockoff outlet stores, same Pizza Pizza, same Sweet Rosie's... more than anything, it's a mall that smacks of being old and tired. Yes, they added a Dollarama a few years back, but that's the same anywhere you go. The only reason to go inside the mall at all is for the food court, and that's only if you're stopping by on your way to another destination via the bus station. The only saving graces of the mall are the anchor stores and the various businesses that have popped up on the perimeter of the lot. The Wal-Mart is a solid (if over-trafficked and raucous) store with lots to see and choose from, while the No Frills near the back of the lot offers a massive assortment of foods, and is one of the biggest I've been to. Likewise, there's a nice Starbucks out near the corner of Erin Mills and The Collegeway, and the Shoppers Drug Mart is also a solid location with friendly staff. Honestly, this would be the classic definition of a "dead mall", were it not for the places I just mentioned. Any time a mall gets to the point where the majority of spaces are leased by small independent retailers, you know the ship is sinking. Still, at least it's (very slightly) better than Westdale down the road, which doesn't really have any anchors to speak of (besides FreshCo). Unless you're in need of groceries or something quick, it's not worth venturing into the mall. They only get two stars from me for the anchor stores and associated outdoor businesses listed above. read more

I feel so sorry for this mall - it's like the little mall that can't! It's made up of a bunch of small independent retailers. For the size and the location, you'd think that it would be a better draw, but it's not worth the drive for me. read more

this mall is decent, the no frills, and Wal-Mart is the "flagship portions" of this mall. also boasts a major transit point for the city of Mississauga. lots of options available for shopping, but crazy and I mean really crazy drivers whipping in and out of this location. lots of parking and pretty clean. read more

South Common may be small, but it's convenient for me and it has a lot of "different" and unique stores. There's a retail fashion store located in the center of the mall that is really inexpensive. They have stylish and decent quality clothes. I bought a pair of jeans from there almost 3 years ago, worn it almost every week, and it has stll lasted me! I am also in LOVE with the cinnamon bun at the Sweet Rosies. I pass by it on every morning on my way to the bus transIt, and this place smells divine! The cinnamon bun tastes amazing when it's fresh off the oven, but still tastes good even when it's not hot. Definitely better than Cinnabons in my opinion. I like it here because I can get multiple things done within a short period of time. I use the bus transit every day to go to work, and since I'm a member at Goodlife Fitness, I usually work out there right after work, and then do my grocery shopping at either No Frills or Walmart after my workout. The food court also has a good selection of food too, so if I have nothing prepared for dinner, I usually get somethng healthy like greek food or subway. I often find myself getting multiple things done at this mall, whether it's working out, shopping for my groceries, or even getting my hair or nails done. I have a very demanding job, so I don't have time to travel to different areas to get things done. I feel like I don't have to go anywhere else, but here, after work. read more

South Common mall has it all. Actually South Common has one of the best Shoppers I have ever seen. Five Guys, Starbucks, 2 banks, Payless shoes, Wal-Mart, No-Frills and a small indoor mall that also has the nail salon that I visit every 2 weeks. South Common may be an older mall but they have all of your shopping needs in one location. Goodlife is also located inside the mall. A medical center with a walk in clinic and a dentist is also in the same mall. I have chosen South Common over many large malls because it meets all my needs. Also it has a lawyer's office, an optical store and a tax place. I enjoy shopping here! read more
