Were it not for this, HomeSense and the McDonald's, Clarkson Village Shopping Centre would have gone the way of the dodo a long time ago. The nearby Clarkson Crossing complex has stolen a lot of the thunder in recent years, but this Dollarama is still my preferred choice versus the junky and underwhelming Buck or Two at the aforementioned complex. It may not be the biggest location, but you can find some interesting items if you look hard enough. I found some $4 DVD giftsets for Spider-Man 3 (not a movie I would admit to enjoying, but it has its moments) and a better selection of cheap books than some other locations. The service is typically friendly, and I was in and out in no time. This location is likely less well-known than a lot of other Dollarama locations, as it's tucked into the corner of the mall and can be easy to miss while driving by. Still, the selection is surprisingly rich for a comparatively-smaller branch, and the experience in general is usually solid. It's the best dollar store in Clarkson by a country mile. Worth a visit if you need something quick.

It's also a nice alternative if you're not into a huge mall, such as Erin Mills Town Centre down the road. South Common Centre is a mix of an indoor malls and stores closer to Erin Mills Parkway that simulate more of a plaza feel. I have dropped by this mall to visit Supermoon. To access this store requires going through the mall entrance. During this pandemic, you are greeted by security staff. They ask you which stores you are accessing before you proceed. No Frills and Walmart anchor the indoor part of this mall. There is a food court that I have yet to check out. There are a number of businesses, such as Five Guys Burgers and Ghost Kitchens, that stand on their own. I like that Shoppers Drug Mart and a bunch of other business are a part of this mall, but are detached from it in a plaza setting. If you want to buy or fetch stuff, and get in and out of the stores that you want, this setup is ideal for you. I certainly appreciate it. I don't feel comfortable being in a large mall these days. I briefly saw signs for shoe repairs, nail care, and First Choice Haircutters. These services are likely closed these days, as they aren't considered essential. However, when it's safe, I'd like to check them out and this mall a lot more. There is plenty of parking, even outside Walmart. I didn't experience any craziness getting in and out of the parking lot. (233)

Called into a couple of stores in Toronto, LA, New York and Las Vegas looking for a charizard. I…read morespoke to Christian who had a base set 1999 charizard. This card was the gold among kids of my age when I was younger and I remember only two kids had a charizard. This was when Pokémon was booming more so than it is now with"Pokémon Go". Christian, the owner, passed the phone to Brian (the Pokémon expert) to inform me that they only had one charizard left. This wasn't a sales tactic but rather when I arrived in store, they did only have one charizard. The charizard is exactly how they described it over the phone pristine condition. Off the record, they said it'd probably grade at a 9. Drove over to look at it. Parking is tight because of the mall and all the other businesses around it (Shoppers Drug Mart, Popeyes, GoodLife) it's in the mall entrance beside Popeyes. The only downfall of the mall is it doesn't have automatic doors but that didn't stop me from looking at this piece of amazing art. Went to see it and Christian was real nice. Took pictures, was very reasonable and took my concerns to heart (tried calling in the entire day, and voiced my concerns to him, he IMMEDIATELY took action and took care of the problem) this is a place I'd definitely buy from again, and Christian also offered to get it PSA/Beckett graded for me. He stated there are three prices but recommended I get the cheapest one because it's the exact same thing, only getting it graded quick costs more. So if you have the money, go for the most expensive option, but if you want to save any money, wait a little while more and that's what he'd recommend. I'd say he's pretty honest and personable! He seems to know all his customers on a first name basis and this is a place I would've loved to hang out at a kid!!! 4/5 (prior to grading - I think I'll go back and get it graded and re-review) Would recommend to everyone! - Yelp King of Toronto (check that, I'm Yelp King hard af to reach)
