Dragonwood isn't so much a food truck as it is a mobile vendor. It's typically set up on the sidewalk with tables and a canopy. Dragonwood specializes in really two types of items - honey-related items and maple-based items.
I didn't try Dragonwood for quite some time, however, I am quite the fan of the "more expensive but worth it" maple syrup. Dragonwood includes a variety of flavored honeys, bulk honey, gift collections, and others.
Of course, there's also the maple options including syrup, candy, maple syrup, and gift collections.
Dragonwood is based out of Kempton, Indiana. They keep bees, tap trees, have hundreds of hives, and one of Indiana's largest maple syrup evaporators. Dragonwood is owned by Mike Gerig. Gerig, a native hoosier, got his first beehive in 2004, and by 2009 was selling honey in Kokomo.
Who We Are
At Dragonwood, we keep bees, tap trees, and produce premium food products based on natural sugars. We have hundreds of hives, thousands of taps, one of the largest maple syrup evaporators in Indiana, and a custom built state inspected food production facility. We have a large portfolio of proprietary infusions, flavors, and packaging.
There's a whole lot to love about Dragonwood. I've yet to try the honey, however, I'm completely hooked on the maple syrup. You can order products off their website, and I definitely recommend if you see them in the community giving them a chance.
