El Borrego is actually a grocery store with a restaurant inside. We had a hard time finding it…read morebecause Yelp directions take you a block out of your way. There is actually easy street parking in front of the building. El Borrego is a favorite of the locals in Kokomo. The tables and chairs are carved colorful tropical scenes. The dining room is not fancy, but functional. A generous portion of complementary chips and a fresh salsa come out quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. They serve traditional Mexican favorites and I was in the mood for a couple tacos. You can buy a platter of 20 mixed tacos for $69 or order them individually. I selected the soft shell Tacos Supreme, one chicken and one shrimp. The tacos were very good with lots of cheese, meats and lettuce. I also picked up some tortillas in their grocery store. They carry an impressive variety of spices and dried peppers. I return and recommend.

He also openly talks about flipping customers off while they are speaking to him, but just being sneaky in hiding where he puts his middle finger so they don't see it. From everything I've seen, this is not a healthy environment for women and minorities. I would re-consider giving your money to this particular store. The other Save-A-Lots in other cities don't seem to have this same management problem, at least from my experiences shopping at other locations. Just the Kokomo location.

Visited the Super Walmart in Kokomo, and the size of this place definitely stands out right away…read more It's a huge location with just about everything you'd expect, making it convenient when you need to knock out multiple errands in one stop. Parking was abundant, so getting in and out wasn't a hassle at all. Inside, the store feels spacious, though a few areas were a little cluttered and could use better organization. The biggest downside for me was the restroom. They were available but not clean during my visit, which was disappointing. Checkout was smoother than I expected, and the mix of regular lanes and self-checkout helped keep things moving. Staff wasn't always easy to find, but I eventually got the help I needed. Inventory was solid, and most essentials were fully stocked. Overall, nothing fancy, but it functions exactly the way you'd expect a Super Walmart to function. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and organization, this location could feel much stronger. Still, for convenience and variety, it works well for everyday shopping.
