The flight - bonfire, bourbon and rye

Great addition to the town. Beautiful place with great food options and delicious cocktails. The Pineapple Express cocktail went down like juice. The grown up grilled cheese was very good, but also incredibly filling. The Bonfire was my favorite of the alcohol we tried. We took home a couple of bottles!

Adult grilled cheese. Don't recommend the waffle.

I've eaten here twice. The rating is based on the inconsistency between the two visits, and overall experience. Neither were spectacular. First visit there were four of us celebrating an occasion. Made our reservation for 4:30 to avoid the dinner rush. One of five tables occupied and waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged. Another 20 before we got our drinks. Maybe the server was having a bad day. I asked for a beer list and she said they were a cocktail bar. We ordered, one of our party asked if the fries with her smash burger could be poutine. Waitress said she'd ask the kitchen. They accommodated. All in all the drinks were stiff, no one complained about their food minus the "pork belly" up charge that was just a thin slice of bacon, and the mistake of a dry waffle instead of bread for their grilled cheese. My husband and I made our most recent reservation late to avoid the dinner rush. Hostess tried to sit us next to a screaming toddler. They only had their drinks, so it was clear they were just starting their experience. I politely asked to be at a different table. She reluctantly accommodated. I work in the industry and I get how tables are split up between servers but there were only four tables sat so I didn't think it would be an issue. Service was rather slow to start, but our drinks were strong. My husband ordered the king cut prime. It came out with different veg than listed on the menu. Fat wasn't rendered at all, meant itself was tough, and it was tiny for a $32 special. What a waste. Charcuterie was a joke. Less than ten slices of cheese, (one of which was parm? Lol what?) a cold baguette sliced way too thick, no jam, and stale chocolate covered pretzels. All in all, overpriced underwhelming fare at an establishment that no doubt is just another watering hole for locals with a bit more expendable income.

service and food were amazing! We Han the bean burger and the fish and chip, outs !! let's support locals!!

Beautiful atmosphere, service, food & drinks! The Cushman Coldbrew is a delicious Whiskey riff on an espresso martini.

They then let you know you can sample 4 different spirits, my wife and I declined on this part only due to the fact we stopped at the nearby brewery first. We went right into picking our cocktails. Next time we definitely would do the sampling. Cocktail wise their current menu was broken into three different sections, those being Vodka, Bourbon, and lastly moonshine. An extra category on the bottom did include two mocktails as well. I thought the cocktails were extremely reasonable either being $11 or $13. I got their peach smash which was a really good drink utilizing their honey bourbon and peach liqueur which was balanced so well! My wife got their French martini that utilized their vodka and raspberry liqueur and came in a frosted glass. We loved both of the drinks and even though my wife typically is not a bourbon fan she liked mine. While we enjoyed our drinks inside and appreciated the atmosphere of the inside including the decor the true view is outside. Enjoy your cocktail while taking in the view, you can be on the patio or at a table or chair at the overlook. Can snap some amazing photos that's for sure! To sum it up, friendly and welcoming staff who make delicious cocktails with a great setting inside and out!

To me, there's something special about a visit to Yankee Distillers. There's a sense of "We know…read morewhat we want to do, and we're gonna do it!" here that I haven't gotten from many other distilleries. Being off the beaten path, it's not someplace that will get a lot of casual drive by's - they get the people who want to come here. I wasn't sure what would be of interest to me here. After the tastings, I was very pleasantly surprised to find it would be their vodka! I'm not normally a vodka person, but there is a very short list of distilleries that make a vodka I can actually sip, and I just added their Eleven Lakes Vodka to that list, most likely right at the top. Finishing a very close second was their Rye. By the way, the ingredients for these come 100% from New York State. And with so many distilleries in NY shortening their aging, I appreciated that all their whiskies age a minimum of 6.5 years. The people here definitely love their craft and appreciate conversation with folk who have an understanding of distilling. If, of course, you can make it past the very effective guard dogs, Basil and Barley - though it's not so much they're protecting the place, just making sure they get their much deserved attention from you before, during, and after, your drinks. There's almost always something new going on here; when we arrived today's list had just been freshly laminated. Visit often.

This review will be short and sweet…read more The Yankee Distillery is making their own booze on site and serving it at a simple bar as soon as you walk in. They are going the extra mile by making authentic mixers made with real ingredients. Take one look at the container of bloody mary mix on the bar and you will see what I mean. I ordered the Manhattan and it was fabulous. Every sip was perfection. The owner is a very warm and happy fella who clearly loves his business. The other draw at Yankee is the team of pugs that meet you on arrival. They look like loaves of bread with smooshy faces connected. One will sit on your lap with out any coaxing! This is a happy place serving happy things. The bottles of booze are a bit pricey but the drinks are reasonable. Definitely get out and enjoy one soon!
