DO NOT GO to Alpine dry cleaners in Sandy UT, unless you want to be over charged for your clothes…read moreto be ruined. Took my $1000 designer down jacket to be dry cleaned. Picked the place based on positive reviews - what a mistake. Instead of dry cleaning it - this is what I paid over $30 for, the jacket was washed in some harsh detergent. The jackets color has faded; it is shedding feathers now - these what washing down jackets in detergent does; and it has 4 holes in the front now from tumbling in the dryer for hours. I would be better off washing it myself in the special down cleaner for free; jacket has a distinct food smell - this is not how clean clothes smells. They did it" - this is the response I got from the woman who runs the place - who is THEY? I wonder if any dry cleaning takes place there. The woman claims her "dry cleaning" is done on premises - I did not see anyone working there. However there was another customer there at the time whose cashmere sweater was ruined - I assume it was washed instead of dry cleaned. How is this shop allowed to operate? There should be legal action taken to stop the fraud and abuse of customers.

I was distressed because I tried hand washing (and laundry washing) my specific garment at home by myself, only to find that odd pink stains and a certain smell came about by doing so. I went to Alpine Dry Cleaners looking for a solution and they fixed my jacket and it came back softer/puffier than its original form! Awesome! . Only thing is, I felt it was a bit pricier than normal, but overall, they did an excellent job, so I'm satisfied!

I was told that there was a stain and they required additional work. I didn't remember any stains on any of these clothes , but I accepted their answer. I was told that Issac, the manager would call me. No call. Later the same week, when I brought in more dry cleaning, I was told that the slacks were lost, but they would take care of it. I made it a point to ask the young lady to have Issac call me ASAP to let me know how they were going to handle this problem, and verified that they had the correct phone number. Today, when I asked about my missing slacks, the young lady asked me, "Didn't Issac call you?, and once again I said no and once again we verified my phone number. She immediately texted Issac and one hour later, still no call. When your prices are on the high side and the work is nothing more than average. I would expect customer service to be above average. This clearly is not the case. Obviously Issac has never heard of customer service and he is too afraid to address a customer complaint. He would rather leave the problems with the poor teenage girls that work there. I guess the next step is the Better Business Bureau or a TV news station that investigates consumer complaints Just got a call from Issac, and he could not have been more apologetic for the lack of communication. He graciously rectified the problem, I will remain a customer. Thank you, Issac.

Desperately seeking an open same day or next day dry cleaner, I came across one that was near my hotel in Draper, Utah. I called, and like most if not all, they were closed on Sunday. However, I left my phone number in the hope that maybe I would get a call Monday morning, then I moved on to explore what other options I had. Within just a couple of minutes, my phone rang with Rebecca cheerfully and kindly on the other end offering to be of service. She explained that if I brought my blazer in by nine in the morning, I would have it by three in the afternoon. Wow that's all I can say. What great service. I'm looking forward to meeting her, and paying what I'm sure will be a reasonable amount for such great service. I dropped off two of my husband's white dress shirts Thursday at 11:30am as a rush. The ticket says ready Friday at 5, and they said they'd call if anything was delayed. Nobody called. I went in at 5:15 and the girl at the counter told me Monday. I told her we had a gala and a funeral this weekend and needed them back ASAP. The best she could offer was having them back at this location Saturday at noon, still dirty. I asked to speak with the owner, and they got Tammi on the phone instead. I had to repeat everything from the beginning, as if the staff hadn't briefed her at all. She called it a miscommunication, said this happens maybe a couple times a year, and kept saying they're human and make mistakes. I get that, mistakes happen. The problem is how she handled it. Like dropping a flaming bag of garbage in my lap. She kept deflecting responsibility and talked over me the whole time, telling me to "be quiet and just listen." I told her more than once these shirts were for a close friend's funeral on Sunday, and she kept lecturing me about how yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't promised, and all we have is now. Great timing to get philosophical. At the very end of the call, I asked what the "miscommunication" was, since it was a rush order with the deadline printed right on the ticket. That's when she admitted someone never put the shirts on the truck the day before, so they only went out to their Sandy location 15 minutes before I walked in. After 45 minutes at that counter, nobody had offered a credit or anything to earn back our trust. Nobody even said, "We wish we could get them back to you tonight." So I told them my husband would drive to Sandy that night and pick them up himself. He brought them home, still dirty. This is no way to run a business.

I paid for the services and planned to pick up next month. She asked for another fitting visit which was expected. I went to the fitting visit and she hadn't started but had the length pinned (which I thought shouldn't have taken a full month). Anyways the length was good from what was pinned but the next time I came by it seemed like she hadn't really modified it or barely did. So we asked if she could shorten it and if the bustle could be brought in better. Since our event was that week of we asked if it'd be ready and she said yes. The day before the event, we picked up the dress and it was sloppily hemmed and a bit uneven. Not much we can do at this point but what was really disappointing was the customer service. The owner Anna was extremely rude and short with us. She only responded with one word answers and wasn't helpful in explaining the bustle. Needless to say we took the dress and left. And I won't be using her services for dry cleaning or future alterations in the future.
