We just moved to the area from out of state (literally the day before) when my Toyota Highlander…read morestarting gushing oil, we had no idea who to bring It to. So after a bit of research we chose CarFix. Glad we did! We had to get the car towed as we knew it did not have any oil in it..we thought, great, this is going to cost a fortune so they towed it in looked at the car and gave us a call with what was wrong and the cost to fix. Very reasonable based on the research I did..they told us that it would be ready on Monday (they towed it on Friday) we asked that since it was there could they please give the a/c a charge, no problem. They called Friday evening and told me I need new rear brakes which we knew about so we decided to get that done too. Everyone there was so nice and very friendly I felt as though they were honest but most of all my car runs great! We will use these guys for all our future car needs. Highly recommend Thank you for a pleasant experience!!

Carfix has a great team. Friendly. Professional. They get you in on time. They have a shuttle…read moreservice. They even send pictures of what they find. Seems like an ideal experience. What killed it for me was the estimate. First, it was WAY more expensive than I thought. But I could have dealt with that had they just broken down the bill for me: parts, labor, recycling fees, taxes. You know, the same way every other shop does it. But when I asked for this, all I got was, "Out system doesn't do that." Dead end. So I went where I could get more transparency.

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!!!…read more I brought in my vehicle for a NC inspection, it was close and seemingly convenient. I was told I needed to put more mileage on the car, according to the technician, it was 'not ready', which wasn't a great explanation but, I understood that I would have to return once the was more mileage on the car, again no valid explanation for that either, but it wasn't too much of an issue At that point, I was informed that I needed to replace a light bulb. I instructed them to move forward and confirmed that was all that was needed to pass inspection. 20 mins later, the person at the desk told me the technician was having a very hard time getting the bulb out. Then, after about 15 more minutes, the technician came to the waiting area with what appeared to be a broken housing and explained that he broke it when he tried to get it out. He then informed me that I had to provide a new headlight assembly in order for the bulb to be replaced. I requested to speak with the owner, to discuss replacement of the part his technician broke. He called me 2 hours later, and without explanation said he was not going to cover it. The owner claimed it was melted in and the only way to get it out was to break it. And also this was regular wear and tear. So now, no headlight, no inspection, no faith in this facility. Unless you want your parts to be broken, and then be responsible for replacing them, DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!

There's a few things I have to say about this place. Scammers. I have been notified with receipts…read morethat this shop is charging way too much for simple things. Being a mechanic it is disgusting the pricing they have They are charging 1,500 for a set of pads and rotors. I don't know how they are still in business with this type of pricing. They are the reason us mechanics look shady and look like scammers! SHAME ON YOU!!

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

My experience at honest automotive was smooth and hassle free. I originally came in for an oil…read morechange and to get my tires checked out and was quoted $105 which I felt was a fair price. I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! Thanks honest automotive!

Precision Tune Auto Care - Flush transmission x3 times was the prerequisite. They also wanted me to drive 300miles before finishing the work.

I've used Precision Tune in Clayton several times for work on my Chevy Tahoe. The staff is friendly…read moreand knowledgeable, and the facility is clean. My recent work took a bit long than quoted, but having worked on vehicle most of my life, I know things always take longer than expected. Work was done right though, so I am happy. One thing is am disappointed with though, is they no longer offer a courtesy shuttle service to take people home. Apparently the corporate office decided to discontinue this. In my opinion, this is an essential service that they should reinstate. My previous service center that I used (not much further away) still provides this service, so I may have to consider that on my next repair. Come on Corporate, this is a courtesy you need to offer! A small price to retain customers.

If time and money are of any importance to you, I'd avoid this shop. Not only did Josh Weaver take…read more~$400 from me, he wasted a lot of my time. As a single dad, that's no good.. We went in to get transmission work done as they accepted the warranty provider I had. I had to flush the transmission 3x and then drive the truck for 300mi before bringing it back to do the work. After getting me to pay the ~$400 in order to satisfy the prerequisite for the warranty company, they stopped doing transmission work with them due to not having the appropriate equipment to satisfy a "new need" from the warranty provider... Okay.. I get it. I do (kinda?) What I don't get is the awful customer service behind telling someone that kind of news. His demeanor was very shoulder shrugged and Josh somehow mustered the nerve to tell me; "he didn't choose who I got a warranty through.". That's also fair, but you chose to do business with them. I do believe they just scammed me for a quick $400 dollars but I can't be certain. Either way, at the end of the day I would recommend taking the extra few minutes to find a better managed shop with higher ratings.
