The live table games are in the middle of the casino like blackjack, roulette, stadium games. There's a food hall outside and 3 restaurants inside. I believe the Casual restaurant serves American food like burgers, Nashville chicken sandwiches, fish n chips. The Sun Sui Wah is a chinese restaurant. The prices are on the high end. If you have a players card you can use for food comps.

My review will be the casino itself and The Arena, the concert hall at this casino. Last Saturday, Jann Arden played The Arena. It would be my first time visiting this casino and concert venue. I had dinner roughly five minutes away from the casino. I thought that arriving here 45 minutes early would be enough time. Everything did work out with ten minutes left before the show's start time. I recommend coming here an hour early. Parking was a challenge. First, you are fighting your way onto the casino premises by merging two lanes into one. The design isn't necessarily the culprit. It simply can't keep up with volume when there's at least one event here. I tried to find parking outdoors. Nothing. I don't think there were signs to get you to the sheltered parking lot that has five floors. I simply went with my instincts and found it. There are speed bumps along the way. The maximum speed is 30 km/h. I recommend slowing down even more to 20 km/h because the speed bumps are effective. Finding parking was crazy. Everyone was on the first floor. I did a full cycle, which felt like a waste of time. I finally figured out how to get to the second floor. Once I was there, there were plenty of parking spots. I was happy. I recommend backing into a spot, making leaving a lot easier. There are stairs and elevators to get you down to the casino level. There were many. The latter were beautiful and fast. One weird detail is that the major parking lot does not connect to the casino. You are outdoors walking between the two structures. It reminded me of being in grades 7 and 8, dashing from the main building to a portable for French class. I hope that they will consider a tunnel or something to keep patrons protected from the elements. There were vendors when I walked in. They were selling African items. They disappeared after the concert was over, so I am guessing that parking and attendance at this casino was busier than usual. It's pretty easy moving around this resort. I found The Arena immediately. It was next to coat check. The lineup was efficient and straightforward, with friendly staff guiding you. You do go through a purse check. I had a small purse, so I opened it and security was good with it. I then had my ticket scanned off my phone. You basically need to go to the door number that's on your ticket. I could go through door 1 or door 2. I chose the former. I saw doors 1 and 3 on the same side. I used the women's washroom twice. It was nicely designed. The stalls offer plenty of room to bring in a walker in the regular stalls. The washroom was clean and nicely lit. After the show, there was a bit of a wait to use it. The lineup moved swiftly thanks to the number of stalls. At door 1, I had the nicest usher let me know where my seat was. The seat numbers are between seats. They are difficult to see when folks are seated. I asked two different folks what their seat numbers were and finally found my spot. The Arena is an awesome venue. There was plenty of legroom. If someone needs to walk by, you don't need to get up. Yay! I was five rows away from the stage. I was almost dead centre. The view was great. The sound was fabulous. It's a huge venue. I had an excellent time. To make a long story short, I had visited the Shorelines Casino in Belleville before the pandemic and had a rewards card. Shorelines rolled out a new rewards program within the last year and assigned me a member number. I didn't know what to do with it (can't log on online and didn't receive a replacement card), so I headed to guest services. I got Lorraine. I loved her subtle purple hair. She was amazing. She asked for my ID (I provided my passport) and she found me in the system. She got me a new rewards card with a bungee cord. She looked into my account and said that I have $10 to spend at any food or drink vendor. Nice! I also have a discount to stay at the Pickering or Peterborough casino locations. Doubly nice! Lorraine was awesome! I had a great experience. I quickly checked out the casino. The floor was buzzing with activity! I used to work in the gaming industry. I oddly don't play games much at casinos, but do like the slot machines. You get free drinks while you play, which is a nice touch. I then headed to The District, which is your food court. Starbucks was open and looked nice. There was also an Asian stand, Sun Express, that's open 24 hours every day. It's perfect for those staying at the hotel, and patrons who want bubble tea and decent food offerings, such as beef noodle soup. As expected, it did take some time to exit the parking lot from the second floor and head home. There was a police officer guiding traffic. Traffic needs help, but I don't know what more can be done there. It's all volume. I love this casino and concert venue. Staff were friendly. I'll be back! (211)

When you're ready to place an order, wave at one of the staff members who will come to you to take your order. I have visited the Shops at Pickering City Centre (it's Pickering Town Centre's rebranded name) a couple of times recently. I noticed this Cineplex nearby. I had never seen a movie here until last Saturday. I decided to see Michael in a VIP movie theatre. I have a surplus of movie tickets and Cineplex gift cards to use. I felt that using my gift cards for lunch would be a nice treat. I used one of my tickets to reserve a spot to see Michael. I then drove over to this theatre after running errands. The downside coming here on a Saturday is that there aren't a whole lot of open parking spaces. I saw one person drive off. I swooped in and backed my car into this spot. Otherwise, I would have had to park a lot further. Maybe coming here on a weekday would be better parking-wise. I walked into the building. Your regular cinemas are straight ahead. VIP is on the right. It felt fancy being greeted by a friendly male staffer with a pool table and pretty chandeliers behind him. He let me know that I was in VIP theatre 2, which was to my left. Nice! I walked by the bar. It was also pretty and rather posh. I needed to use the washroom. The women's is set up like the other VIP ones that I have been to. There's memorabilia everywhere. The stall that I used was clean. It was great. When I walked into theatre 2, two female staffers welcomed me. One asked if I needed any help finding my seat. It was my first time here. I gave her my seat number and she was great pointing out where it was. She also said to wave at her if I wanted anything to eat or drink from the VIP menu. I looked at it. I immediately knew what I wanted. I waved at them to take my order. One of them came over, who was friendly and great. My order consisted of the following: - Wagyu beef gyoza - Corn ribs - Large Diet Coke I paid with two Cineplex gift cards that were loaded digitally in my Cineplex app. I managed to use up the balance on one of them. I also earned Scene+ points for this order. Easy peasy! I got another friendly woman who first brought over my Diet Coke. It was cold and lasted for the entire duration of the movie. It was great. She came back with my food, along with wet wipes and napkins. I thanked her and had lunch. The wagyu beef gyoza were delicious. Each one had a lot of yummy filling. The wrapper was crispy. There was a lot of sauce. It had more ginger than soy going on. It was enjoyable. I loved the corn ribs. They were lightly battered and had the best seasoning. The corn was perfect. I loved them so much. I loved the recliner. I got to put up my feet to watch this movie. There's also a USB port to charge your phone if you need to. So practical! Michael, the movie about Michael Jackson, was excellent. I appreciate him even more after having watched this movie. I liked the picture quality and sound. I was fully into watching this entire flick. So good! Afterwards, I used the washroom again before I headed home. I walked by this theatre and there was a Michael Jackson cutout. It wasn't here before the show. It should have been! It's perfect to pose and take photos. I loved taking in a movie here and getting the VIP experience. The parking situation needs help on a Saturday. I should try taking in a movie on a weekday and see whether parking is better. (184)

This review is only on our XSCAPE experience…read more Small arcade area by the entrance of the theatre with an assortment of games. Difficultly levels range from easy (push a button/pull a lever without regard for anything) to more challenging (push a button on time with the screen, moving claw arms, etc.) Our recently turned 4yo has a blast here, though some of the games are still too challenging. As this is quite close to home, we've already been there 4 times in the last 2 months. The claw machine by the entrance is a good one, it has two sides to potentially play. The timed-play on the right side can give a large prize, but if that doesn't come up with anything, the left side is play-until-you-win, so you never should leave empty handed. My kiddo has redeemed a palm-sized dice, an airhead candy, and a Mario toy with the eticket credits as well on top of the claw machine wins. The venue is clean, spacious as most arcades get, and better lit than expected for a game room in a theatre.

You must register online Ajax.ca/skating way before your thinking of coming out for a skate, this can't be a spontaneous idea, keep reading to find out about our horrible excursion this Sunday. We arrived with no reservations. We were placed on a waiting list. I told the nice lady my sons will come collect their bracelets at 5:35pm if there is any no shows of the people that registered. This was at 4pm. I went back home. 2. At 5:40pm my kids call me to inform me that they can't get on the ice because they are not of legal age to sign the waiver. Yes you must sign a waiver for Covid tracing. I get it but why wasn't this told to me when I was there? So I have to leave home get back to the rink to sign the waiver. 3. By the time this was completed, the boys got to skate for 10 min. I'm sure your thinking be great full they even got to skate. However, we left home at 3:30pm the kids waited 1:45 outside. We are now leaving the rink at 6:25pm and they got ten min. of skating. I hope this helps other and you don't have to go through this the next time you decide to go for a skate on an outdoor rink.

The other source was my manager. He had heard about the lobster tails dinner with prime rib at a cheap price, and wanted us to take advantage of it. I knew that a dinner deal like that (I think it was $14.99 at the time, but have no clue whether this deal is still on) would be popular. Waiting in line for a while for such a deal turned me off. I'd be hangry and no one needs to put up with that. A few weeks ago, Ajax held a walk-in ribfest at Ajax Downs. I had never been to this one. Frankly, the last time I had set foot at a ribfest was in 2018. I decided to give it a try. I did manage to see the racetrack while I was circling to find a parking spot. I wish that I had taken a photo, but it's etched in my mind. It's closer to the casino. You truly can't miss it, even when you're preoccupied with parking! It's a dirt track. It had greenery. It looked nicely maintained. There are live races from May till October each year. Most races happen on Wednesdays. Each month, there's a race day on Sunday, but I don't get how the powers that be decide with Sunday of each month will be a race day. It's best to check the schedule before you head over here to take in some races and perhaps strike it rich. I was there on a Saturday afternoon, so the racetrack was quiet. The ribfest was not. It was nice seeing it so lively. Vendors were dishing out free samples of popcorn and such. There were many food trucks, from Caribbean good eats, to lemonade. I did find a parking spot fairly close to the ribfest's entrance. I lucked out in the E lot. Parking was free. There was also parking across the street where it was more on grass. I got half a rack of ribs and coleslaw from The Hogfather. Ajax Downs is so vast that it supported six ribbers, and included a huge area for hungry eaters to sit and chow down. Ajax isn't horrible to get to. From Markham, the commute is fine, with a few options. Highway 401 gets you here fairly fast, depending on the time of day. If you like a more scenic and relaxed drive, there's Taunton or Kingston Road. Ajax Down is ideal for an outdoors event like the Ajax Ribfest. I had a good time. The Beaches used to have Greenwood Racetrack eons ago. It was nice seeing a racetrack again. Next time, I'd love to check out the Downs itself when I'm not grabbing takeout for dinner. (211)
