My go to alterations shop! I love the quality and speed of her work. After recently losing a lot of weight, most of my clothes need to be altered. And I bring them here because of the quality of her work. From uniforms to civ clothes, she does it all. What I do appreciate is that if something isn't going to come out right or if the fabric will get damaged, she will tell you "no" upfront instead of risking damage for money. I've gotten same-day service without being charged an arm and a leg. She's so sweet, provides amazing service and the best part is that she's reasonably priced. read more

I wanted to write this review because I'm very very disappointed and frustrated with the service I received here recently. I took my pants (orange one) here to be hemmed. I brought another pants (green) of same kind that has the length I wanted so that they have a reference for the length. Left both of them and made sure the lady understood I want only the orange one to be hemmed at the length of green one before leaving. Today I picked up them. They hemmed BOTH about an inch or so. They shortened the pants that I left as a reference too although I didn't ask for. I'm so frustrated about this. I don't understand how they even decided how much to shorten them... On top of it they also did absolutely horrible job. Seams are all over the place. Please see the pictures. Orange pants that I originally wanted to be hemmed are brand new pants, never worn and they managed to make a tiny hole while working on it. This is not acceptable. People over there seemed nice but the service is very unreliable and it's obvious to me that they don't listen to the customers. read more

We dropped some items off to be dry cleaned and hemmed and the ladies there were very sweet! This place is busy but it moves along and while I was there, I can tell they have a lot of repeat customers that they are close with. I was a bridesmaid for a friend's wedding and needed my dress hemmed - of course, I waited until the week before my trip to get it done, but they were able to hem it in time! My boyfriend also brought in pants to be hemmed and some shirts to be dry cleaned. They were all ready in time and we experienced no issues! My dress hemming was $60 and the hemming of my boyfriend's four pants came out to about $120. I'm not sure how much the dry cleaning came out to. The place was clean, service was pleasant, and there's also a little pup that hangs out in the back there! We don't get our clothes hemmed/dry cleaned too often but we'll definitely come back if we need anything done! read more

The ladies that work here are very nice and do professional work. Most military folks take their uniforms here so you can rest assured that they know what they are doing with your uniforms. I've only made one visit and I'm on the fence if there will be a second. I paid extra for one day service and I got what I paid for. I asked them to sew on three patches one on each item i brought. 2 out of 3 were ok but that 3rd one ..... yeah it's pretty crooked. They got the second one correct so I know they know what they are doing. I'm thinking about going back up there but I have not decided yet. read more

Brought my service dress in for new rank and dry cleaning. Brought all the correct stripes with my piece of clothing. Once TDY and pulling out my dry cleaning I noticed they sewed someone else's rank on my blues shirt which was completely incorrect but the correct rank on my blues coat. Will never leave there assuming it was done correctly without checking everything. read more

Village Alterations is excellent for dry cleaning, uniform alterations, drying cleaning uniforms (those pesky creases, etc.), and alterations both simple and advanced. Both my husband and I have taken a bunch of things here and everything is always done perfectly. They have fixed fallen hems and small holes, as well as done very complicated alterations on dresses. I have free alterations credit at Nordstrom, but I prefer to bring my things here because I have seen the quality of the work. If you have a formal dress, a uniform, new patches, or just a hem that needs to be fixed, this is the place to go to - you won't be disappointed! read more

NOT FOR NAVY UNIFORMS. Took my blues and two sets of whites to have my patches updated and dry cleaned and while they put my blues patch on correctly...both sets of my whites jumpers had the patches put on the RIGHT arm. Not the left like my blues but the right. And then the lady wanted to argue about not putting the patches on when I asked her to correct it. They may do AF uniforms well but most definitely do not know how to get Navy uniforms done properly. read more
