I came to get an alteration on the sleeves on my dress, she charged me $90 which was the same price as the dress. the alteration was not done well and she would not go down on the price. I asked for some changes to be mad and she wanted another $50. I have been to better tailors that didn't charge that amount. I will never come back and I don't recommends any one to go here. I dropped off 2 pairs of shorts to have a button sewed on each and they fixed that for a $10 each and I picked up the pants a few days later. I need a cane currently to get around and the associate even carried the shorts out and put them in my car. Very good service. read more

Too darn expensive. It's like they just pull a price out of the sky. No room for negotiation. I took in two, summer type pants. Just needed hemmed maybe about 1 1/2 inches cut. Then I wanted the bell bottom tapered in some. She charged me 70$ per pants ‍‍. I still can't get over that. The entire outfit only cost me 75$ each. I know there are more tailors out here in the surrounding area that aren't out here charging so darn much. read more

All I needed was a small patched sewn on a wind breaker jacket and these people charged me $15. They even wanted the money paid up front and it would take them 3 days to do the work. I am not a big fan of these Mom and Pops tailor place cause they simply are here to take advantage of customers particularly the military by charging these outrageous prices. The lady who owns the shop and does alterations now used to operate her own designer-dress shop back home. She has the skill and expertise on alterations! She is very kind and does an excellent job. I needed a dress altered for my daughter's wedding. The owner happened to notice the flaw in the shawl collar design. She not only did an excellent job of correcting the flaw and altering the dress to fit me properly but also her fee was very reasonable considering the amount of work she did. I would return to her for any future alteration work. I recommend her highly. read more

I had three pants hemmed. Two weeks later the seem in one broke, having been poorly done. When I took the pair of pants back, the woman behind the counter said there would be no charge because it was their error. When I returned to pick the pants up I was told it was $10. I was told free when dropped off, because their own poor work was the problem, but then was charged before I could get my property from them. Very dishonest business. Won't ever return to Young's Tailors and will actively discourage others from giving them business. read more

I brought a dress to this tailor that I had special made for me. It turned out way too big for my body, so I took it to have it taken in and to have the collar/shoulders adjusted. The nice, smiling man greeted me right away, and I showed him the dress and told him what I needed done to it. I went into the nice, spacious dressing room and slipped the dress on. I came out and stood in front of the mirror, waiting for him to start pinning the dress. He fluffed up the dress, pointlessly, a couple of times to give it more shape and proceeded to tell me to leave it as it is. I can easily grasp at least 4 inches from the waist line on each side of the dress that needed to be taken off, but he said it was fine as is. So then I asked if he could at least fix the collar and shoulders. The collar was nowhere near my neck, and the seam of the shoulder was hanging off of my shoulders. He pulled the sleeves higher up onto my arm, puffed up the extra material onto my shoulder, and again said it was fine. The dress looked ridiculously huge on me, but this tailor said to leave it as it was and just freaking walked away. He said, "No, leave it as it is.", turned around, and walked away to the back of the shop. No "goodbye", no "sorry I can't help", no "have a nice day". He said NOTHING else to me!!! To say I was disappointed with my experience is a HUGE understatement. I would not recommend this tailor because, unless it's an easy alteration, he doesn't want anything to do with you and your garment. read more

I brought a pair of blue Tommy Bahama burmudas to take in 2 inches and the color dye was white beneath the stitching. The solution was to move the loops back to the original position. The new stitching was botched so badly I complained. I gave Ms. Young a $20 deposit . I was VERY dissatisfied with the repair. I still owed another $9 which she would NOT offer as a condolence . You would think my compromise would be considered, but she GRABBED my pants back. So I gave her Ten dollars and reminded her the picture she had of the Virgin Mary by her cash register should be removed . $29 was also ridiculous for such a simple job. I pray God will bless her and me for the conflict. You should shop around for a better place to do your business. TOO expensive and unprofessional. read more

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not give these people your business! I have been a long time customer of 15+ years. Every year they try to up the prices which is understandable to a degree. I have never paid over over $16 to $20 to hem a cheap cotton sundress before. Walked in today and the old man finally retired with his sister running the business now and wanted to charge me $40 to hem a dress. Find another place please. Don't keep giving these people who are taking advantage of people in this way. Bad business hurts everyone!!!!!!!! read more

I took a few pairs of pants to here the other week. I needed them hemmed a few inches and needed them taken in in the waist. She did great work! The pants do not look like they have been altered and fit great! I will be bringing more pants here in the future. read more
