I have been here several times where a washer or dryer broke on me while I was doing my laundry. They do have an attendant during the day up to 3:00 p.m. On Friday, September 12th, 2025, I was doing my laundry. there were only 2 rolling carts to move laundry from washer to dryer. I'm walking to look for a cart hoping there is a third one somewhere.I see the office in the back, the door is open and there's an empty cart sitting there. I go up to the female attendant that has black hair pulled up in a bun, ask her if I can use the cart in the back office. she blurts out, "You went in the office?" I told her no. the door is open. I saw a cart in there but this left me a little startled and unsettled because I wasn't expecting her to blurt out hostility. Then as I put my quarter in and the dryer it will not turn. I had just put a quarter in and it worked before. The dryer light was on but the dryer would not start up and work. I'm by the dryer, this lady is up front behind the front desk and I say," hey". she doesn't look at me. I said hey again waving and she doesn't look at me. now I said it loud enough where she should have heard it. there's not very much noise in that laundromat, it's only me and two other people in there today. then I yell a little louder, "hello", wow! she replied "don't yell at me!", then she goes on and on. Very cranky very crabby. I said to her you must be having a bad day? she starts clapping her hands focefullly and says, "I am not entertaining this conversation", trying to dominate and shut me up. I'm trying to tell her I did not yell at her... that she didn't even respond to my first two calls. whatever her problem was that day she goes on with, "God bless you". oh my, did that get under my skin. It's always the ones that overreact and that are in the wrong with their emotional outbursts saying, "God bless you", trying to dominate and convince themselves THEY are the righteous victim but doesn't realize ....she acts like an ass. From the start, first time I went in, this lady had a jacked up attitude. Did not say, "hello" no greetings when I entered the business. She gave off an I'm pissed vibe. This is the first time I've been to a laundromat where somebody who worked there put off vibes like that. Most laundromats, the staff is cheerful or at least pleasant. This is the first time I've ever encountered a rotten attitude. She needs to clean up her act, Tydee up her act. Working isn't always pleasant but I didn't do anything to aggravate this lady and I did not appreciate at all the hostility that she threw out.

The Queen Lady associate gave me a look, was so funny. Once she realized I was a first timer, she was so helpful and delightful! We had a good laugh, she then explained everything I needed to do for the next time. If it could get any better lol my second experience was even more awesome sauce! I had 31 shirts cleaned, on pick up day I went in with a laundry basket to collect. Not thinking about the wrinkles that would occur. Remember this is my second time. Another Queen Lady( sorry, will get to know yall's names, all women are queens) suggested "Don't do that". With 31 shirts I'm thinking how do I carry them all to the car by hand. To my surprise a handsome, fit gentleman, my senior, grabbed and gripped all 31 shirts like it was nothing. Carried all 31 shirts to my car for me! To future customers, Ames is 5 star all of my shirts were cleaned to perfection! All looked brand new. A mixture of knits, woven and novelty. To current customers, how awesome right! The steady hum of the washing machines, the warmth from the dryers, and the unmistakable scent of freshly laundered clothes remind me of a simpler era. It's oddly comforting. As busy as life has become, I'm surprised more people don't take advantage of the drop-off laundry service. For only a few dollars more per load than washing it yourself, you can drop your clothes off and return later to find everything washed, dried, neatly folded, or even hung on hangers if you provide them. I've used Wash Land's service several times now, and they've consistently done an excellent job. The clothes are clean, folded with care, and ready to be put away when I get home. The time savings alone make the service well worth the modest additional cost. Sometimes convenience isn't about spending more money. It's about buying back a little of your time. If you're looking for a dependable laundromat with friendly service and a wash-and-fold option that delivers exactly what it promises, Wash Land is well worth considering.
