Honestly, that accident led me to a really good truffle pasta. It's been a while since I've had a truffle pasta like that. I also included a steak as my protein. Would not recommend it- waiters seem disorganized and took forever to get to me. Ordered the entrecôte medium rare and it was unevenly cooked, medium rare and very rare, almost raw on half of it. It was also poor quality meat and very chewy. Asked for the check and they took a while to get it to me. Pasta was tasty though. Our waitress decided she was going to put on a 20% mandatory service charge for 2 people without our consent. She also lied that during the day they charge 10% service charge. This is unheard of in Paris! Straight lying. Never again. Buyer be aware. Food is decent but not worth being ripped off because we are Americans and are kind and generous with tipping. We were looking for a nice, Italian restaurant for 7 people for my friend's birthday. My friend made a reservation the day of and they were able to accommodate us on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is a modest size but very elegant. The staff was beyond hospitable and friendly to my friends and I. They were eager to serve us and discuss the menu with us with a nice dash of humor. We were all very satisfied with our meals which were very flavorful, reasonably priced and nicely portioned. The dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. I had the best tiramisu of my life and there was also a sample of desserts they provided including a pistachio tiramisu that was divine. They made it extra special for my friend's birthday. We met the chef at the end of the meal and paid her tons of compliments of course. I have had the best Italian food while visiting Italy and this place is definitely on par with those. Afterwards we walked to the Eiffel Tower (5 minutes away) and it was the cherry on top to an amazing evening. read more

Beware if you have celiac disease or are gluten intolerant. We were approached walking by the front of the restaurant and were assured they had gluten free pasta and it would be cooked separately and safely. It's a charming restaurant so we were excited to give it a try. When the meals came to the table, we were told that both meals were gluten free again because we have to be safe. After we ate the meal, we asked again if the 2 pasta dishes we ate were gluten free (as they said they were) and they were very hesitant to respond to us and finally showed us the bag of gluten free pasta. The shape was different and we realized our dishes were not gluten free. They were apologetic but we consumed gluten even though they said it was gluten free when we double checked. The server felt bad and the management was apologetic but too little too late. Two people will be sick this evening. You would think working in a restaurant, one would be a lot more careful. The other two people with us who had no dietary restrictions enjoyed the pizza. read more

I know, Italian food in Paris? Yes and yes. Every "French" restaurant we found was more like a diner with everything from burgers to pizza. Villa Verdi is a charming place very close to our hotel and the service was excellent. The owner (I think) greeted my mom and I warmly and I tried to use my little bit of Italian to chat. I ordered my favorite, penne arabiatta (spicy marinara) and my mom ordered veal parmigiana. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. We shared a delicious "coppa feliciana" which was vanilla and strawberry ice cream with a berry sauce and amarena cherries topped with whipped cream. So yummy and we ate every last spoonful. If I find myself in Paris, I'll definitely stop by again. read more

I highly recommend this fine Italian restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. The food and service were fantastic and the management deserves praise for having such a beautiful place to dine. Many places in Paris have the same mediocre bar food; this place has gourmet quality dishes that are superb! Everyone in our party of six was thrilled with their entrée. Deserts were also fabulous (I enjoyed the vanilla and chocolate ice cream on top of s brownie with chocolate sauce). You can even see the Eiffel Tower from some of the tables. read more

Everything was good. All dishes come decorated with a small rose, which is a lovely touch. The pesto pasta here was delicious. The steak was good as well. Champagne flute is 9€. We had 2 servers for the table. The food came out very quickly but it took us a while to get the bill. However, I've noticed that this is quite common in Paris. The service was lagging at the end. We had a pleasant experience here but the menu is not very eclectic. There was no chicken option, which is strange. Amazing place, must eat here! My best friend and I went to Paris together and wanted Italian so we found this cute restaurant close to our hotel and the Eiffel Tower. The owner greeted us as soon as we walked in and we used our little bit of Italian to say hello which he got so excited about! We chatted with him for a few minutes talking about where our families came from in Italy, he made us feel right at home. My friend ordered a drink with her dinner and I did not so the owner stopped by our table and gave me a free glass of wine! In addition to our great server, the owner also kept checking up on us to make sure we were doing okay. He made us feel so comfortable being so far away from home. He gave us free shots of limoncello after our meal, hugged us, kissed our cheeks, he was the sweetest guy ever! Our food was also amazing! I couldn't decided one thing to get so I ordered their 3 sampler platter and all 3 dishes I tried were so delicious. My 2nd best meal in Paris! We just happen to stumble here because we wanted a view of the Eiffel Tower on Bastille Day and that we did. The fireworks had me in my feelings. On to the food, they only offered a fixed menu. $50 euro for an appetizer, entree and dessert and each one blew h mind. The salad I got came with 3 huge scallops that is normally already an entree in the states. They were perfectly soft and sweet. Entree I chose was Branzino, this actually was mediocre but paired with my husband's entree of Pesto Pasta was fking amazing. I was so excited to return to Villa Verdi for dinner with my husband after having dined there the last time we were in Paris. It was easily one of the best meals I had during our last trip! I would have happily given this restaurant 5 stars for my previous experience here. 5 stars for service - our waiter was very pleasant, spoke English well, and even quickly exchanged our little appetizer bowl of peanuts for crackers instead when we mentioned we were allergic to peanuts. We didn't expect a replacement, so that was a nice surprise! The beef carpaccio we ordered as a starter was tasty and very generous on the cheese (which is a plus for me!). Unfortunately, however, this time I found the tagliolini al pesto pasta I ordered as my main course to be somewhat bland and unappetizing, which was a disappointment given how much I remembered enjoying the exact same dish last time. The pasta was cooked very soft, and the pesto sauce felt like it was more cream than pesto - very little taste but very heavy and filling. Maybe it was an off day for them? I would still consider going back, but it's good to be aware that the food might be hit or miss, which may or may not be a risk you want to take when paying 17-35€ per dish. read more

We had just walked in the rain to see the Eiffel Tower and found this restaurant on the way back to our hotel.
