I stayed in touch with the people at La Contessina, as I learned more about how much of a delay this was going to cause. The people I texted with at La Contessina were polite, and as flexible as they could be. When I was able to arrive, at around midnight, I was overjoyed that there was somebody there who was able to help me get into my room. Also delighted that the room was beautiful! The bed was comfortable, and the ambiance of the room was extraordinary. My only regret was that I had to leave early in the morning, so I didn't have the opportunity to fully experience this venue. I highly recommend Residence La Contessina. I am grateful to those who worked with me to make my experience work.

We ran and THANK THE HEAVENS there was an available apartment at La Contessina! The gentleman at the front desk at the Residence La Contessina was charming and helpful. He showed us the apartment and I was beyond happy. A BEAUTIFUL patio, the apartment is spacious, clean, full kitchen, bathroom, dining, and upstairs loft! I LOVE IT HERE!! Annnddd there is an amazing restaurant connected to the Residence. La Sosta delle Contesse is DELICIOUS! Florence is looking very good now

A 14th century palazzo with several apartments available for rent for vacation stays. Besides the fact that it is extremely representative of the city. Each apartment has a kitchen angle, free wifi and a unique layout. Lots of antique furniture and interesting pieces. Plus the service is what makes them stand out. They go out of their way for guests and even do a little special something for those celebrating a birthday or anniversary. They also can help with artisan tours, and other various local suggestions on where to eat and what to visit. the price range is great and the surrounding neighborhood is one of the best in the city. The location of the residence was ideal in that all major attractions in the city were within a 15 minute walk but the nearby surrounding area was quiet with good restaurants and cafés. The best part of our stay however was the staff. Above and beyond help and assistance with any questions or concerns we had. The head of staff Federico truly cared about our stay and made sure out stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if staying in Florence!

The staff at the guesthouse was waiting for us and had arranged the time of arrival. We were greeted and helped with luggage to the third floor residence. The guesthouse has around 10 rooms and a nice common area. The rooms are great- clean, nice shower and bathroom, air conditioning, good wifi, safe in the closet and good amount of space for a Florence hotel. The staff is there during the week but you get a key to freely enter and leave without having to buzz them. Both Paolo and Andrew were amazing hosts and really made it a great experience for us. The location is also a bonus as you are right across from the Pitti Palace and 2 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio. Don't be alarmed by staying on the opposite side of the Arno, you can easily get to the main spots at most, 20 minute walk. Overall, great stay for the price and would highly recommend. When I travel back to Florence I will certainly be staying here!!!'

The main room directly faced the Palazzo Vecchio and the Statua del David. What a view! This is a very old building, with no elevator. This simply adds to the charm. The rooms are all renovated and very regal in design. The main bedroom was extremely comfortable complete with a sofa, and a dining table for four. There is a lot of storage space and a cupboard with coffee and utensils. The bathroom is very functional, with heated towel rack. The second bedroom is furbished with a queen size bed, and comfortable seating. Breakfast was included in our stay, and was served on a tray in our room. What a wonderful way to start the day! This day here was the best part of my trip in Italy. It added romanticism to my journey. This was an absolutely brilliant find, and I can't wait to return.

The breakfast spread in the morning was also absolutely incredible. The only thing that would have made this hotel even better for me would be a gym, but as someone that likes to pack in one million activities into their vacation schedule this location was perfect.
