Our favorite hotel by far during our stay in Italy! In addition to the clean, chic, modern rooms, and the reasonable price, the friendly staff puts Ponte Vecchio over the top!
The hotel is located across the bridge, about 1 block from the Ponte Vecchio. It's located in a little quieter of an area, away from the main city side, but still with plenty of restaurants and activity around. We liked being a little further from the tourist crowd, but still within a convenient 0.2-0.3 mile walk to where the action is. There is no dearth of food options nearby (grocery store, legit restaurants, cafes), all within 1-2 blocks walk.
Our suite: ridiculously adorable and spacious (I'd estimate ~700-800 sq ft). It had a modern, minimalist vibe, with a sleeping area, separated from the living room by a little room divider. Our suite had two TVs, and a comfortable couch. The room, bathroom, and all amenities were extremely clean.
Aside from everything perfect about Ponte Vecchio, the service and staff sets this hotel above and beyond all of our other hotel stays. The staff were extremely friendly, and helpful to our needs. They always had snacks/drinks available in the lounge throughout the day, and even mini sandwiches in the evening, for a light meal prior to dinner. Breakfast buffet is pretty legit- for 16 euros per person. One minor stipulation: this IS a 4 star hotel, versus your typical 5 star hotel. Therefore, certain amenities are absent: room service, nightly turn down service, and bell boy. That being said, I firmly believe that this hotel surpassed the 5 star hotels we stayed at in Italy, and deserves a Yelp 5-star.
Definitely recommend staying here! read more
