First off, finding a concrete contractor was just a complete headache. Shady people, iffy…read moreavailability, wanted money up front, not insured, not bonded, all over the road on how to do the project, etc., etc. I didn't want them to build a rocket, I wanted a concrete slab that would structurally support a fireplace, and roof extension. I filtered about 30 concrete contractors via phone, on-line, and read a 1,000 on-line reviews, Better Business Bureau reviews, Angie's List, Yelp, Neighborhood Apps, blah, blah, blah. I found 3-4 that I was confident in hiring. I don't know how I found RS Concrete honestly - it's a blur. However, I knew INSTANTLY the owner knew what he was talking about when he came by. We then asked Hoegger & Associates to help us with a difficult furniture removal and installation project. During our initial meeting with general contractor and his subcontractor, we presented to their team the many difficulties that would accompany this project. They agreed to complete the work. They then asked me if I could pay them in cash. I told them that I would need a w9, a certificate of liability insurance listing our association as additionally insured, and invoices for all their work. Once again, they agreed to these terms. None of these documents were ever provided. On the day that the project was scheduled to begin, the subcontractor was four hours late. They attempted to start the project and then stopped working. I was informed almost a week later that they would not be completing the project. From that point on my phone calls and emails were not returned. As we were under a significant time constraint, this left us with no time to find a contractor to complete our project and we were forced to abort. How this contractor was able to secure a contract with Marriott Vacation Club is beyond me.

Adriel responded pretty quickly and gave me a good quote. Basically, I had some dry rot and mold from a previous water issue, and the other 2 dry wall contractors recommended just removing and replacing those areas with some patch jobs where tearing out the closet shelves damaged the paint. But I wanted it done right, especially since the drywall in this home was likely original and old. Adriel and his team removed and replaced the drywall in the first day, along with some taping and mudding. By the next day, they had painted and textured it, and I was ready to get started on my closet project. His crew worked quick, were respectful and tried to prevent drywall dust from going everywhere. But of course, that is impossible to do. Nonetheless, they do good work, and helped me haul and throw everything away at a good price. Adriel and I spoke mainly via Google translate as my Spanish isn't that good, but for this project, it wasn't hard to communicate what was needed. I'd recommend him to get the job done quickly at a good price. He also was okay with the payment terms that I set, because most will ask for 50% upfront before they even begin. He worked with me and in the end, it all worked out!
