First and foremost this place is really overrated, food serve are not good, sushi was dry, no seafood, the drinks are super sweet, the hot plates are not great, not sure why the staff would dance why people are trying to get food, also your staff are really chimoso, they talked about people that paid a lot for food, then the dim sum are limited serving and dry, the place we sat was just dark and muggy air, the price is of the buffets is over priced, I don't recommend my friends and family to go here. read more

The best buffet I've ever experienced. What do you get for 15 to 18 USD? Every t'ing you want! Seafood (raw and cooked), meat, soups, salads, carbs, and desserts galore- all prepped with really high quality. San Miguel beers flowed on tap while canned beers were also available. Desserts like boba milk tea and sweet rice-based Filipino treats like kutsinta, biko, and sapin-sapin impressed with downhome taste. The spread went on and on and service was consistently top-notch. My family and I came here on our last day in Manila. I don't know what all the hype is about. It was SUPER packed when we went and it was a Thursday. It was ridiculous! We hated to get back up because it would take forever to get back to the table! The food wasn't that good either, mediocre at best. The only good thing was the legion and there was a huge line for that!!! We also had an hour wait and we had reservations. Funny part was when they found out it was my birthday and asked for my license - my name is Root, the put Rozalyn; this is my street address. Hahahahaha. When my mom told the staff they brushed her off. I left the cake there, and when we left someone ran out to give it to me, he kept yelling and saying 'Rozalyn you left your cake' I told him that wasn't my name and I threw in the trash. ‍ read more

Food selection is not that great. It shows lechon and steaks but doesnt give you the displayed one. You asked for it but gives you the one under the table. Ask for lechon only the one with rice. They dont chop the lechon only display. For 1000 pesos per person, you should see more selections. Tempura which I did not see when I took my food is all the way at the back on the way to the bathroom. Since we were called past 1 pm, they said they close at 2:30. So not much time to go around and check the food first. Not to mention the line in each section. We want steak displayed but they gave different kind of steak. Vikings has good buffet food. They have a large selection of all types of food. You can even get pizza there. They have a large selection of sushi and it was very good. The service is average and the pricing is average. The problem with Vikings is that they overbook and the place becomes so packed that you can't get to the food stations without a long wait. Once you have your food, you really don't want to go back to get in the crowd. The service is fine, but hit and miss. You may get some help or you may sit for a long time alone. The prices are reasonable. The place is too big for its own good. If they had a better way to manage a crowd that would be fine. They do not. I did think the food was good though. read more

Good selection, poor execution. I do not recommend booking with Vikings during special occasions, such as Mother's Day. As a Filipino, the famous hospitality of our people was absent in this restaurant. 1. First Impression: Overcrowded. The entrance of the buffet was lined with customers in a disorganized manner. Security hastily gave us wristbands before entering, which made me feel like I was getting ID'd for a 21+ club. Worker that asked for our reservation number did not have a friendly ambience and I did not feel welcomed. You will hear the microphone and intercom glitch constantly. 2. Space and ambiance: Overcrowded, with hallways ~3-4 ft wide and people walking from both directions carrying plates (in addition to children running around and staff refilling stations). I had to hold my plate above my head so it was not knocked over by another customer or a child running. 3. Customer service: Poor. Every 30 minutes, a staff member asked if our table was complete to prepare for the next batch of customers. During these inquiries, our table was getting food and one was attempting to find parking (despite getting here 15 minutes early). The constant inquiries made us feel rushed, especially with the 2-hour time limit due to Mother's Day. Inquiries were made in a deadpan, unprofessional manner. Plates were not picked up consistently, leading to too many plates on the table. Only buffet I've encountered (in the Philippines and U.S.) where you had to serve and refill your own drinks. 4. Food: Mediocre but wide selection. Selection included Chinese, Indian, and classic Filipino foods (street food included). Food was lukewarm and dry except for meat cooked on the grill. BBQ was delivered to you via table #; however, our BBQ was delivered to the wrong table after 45 minutes of waiting and no confirmation was made. 5. Special treatment: Mothers were handed a red rose and cake. However, the overcrowded and loud nature of the restaurant itself overpowered these nice complements. I cannot vouch for the restaurant's state during regular days; however, I can confidently say this will be the first and last time I will eat at this buffet. Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid-friendly, with children running around the restaurant while customers are in line and workers are cleaning + pushing carts. Parking: Limited. I recommend going 30-45 minutes early to find a good parking spot. Wheelchair accessibility: Poor, especially during crowded times. Hallways are ~3-4 ft wide, and I had to walk sideways to not bump into other individuals carrying plates. read more

I'm a little late writing this review....ate here about three weeks ago. BLUF: 5 stars! Why? Huge variety of seafood (sushi, sashimi and cooked), side dishes and meats (lamb, beef, pork). This place is sort of like the old Todai's seafood buffet, but everything tasted fresh, even the sushi rice was done right. Plenty of parking. If you show up early, you can just walk around the board walk. Mall of Asia about a 10-15minute of walk away. Frequent visits by the wait staff topped off the service. Inefficient buffet, mediocre food, aggressive patrons, & long wait times. The lack of having a cap on tables, people tend to linger and the restaurant can't turn tables for additional customers. Many of the customers hoarded the "money" foods (aka shrimp, fish, and meat), leaving nothing for anyone else. Pretty inconsiderate, but also the staff wasn't able to keep up with replenishing to popular dishes. So when the dish is refilled, again the fight for the food begins. One to two people end up taking the whole tray. Not a great experience for the other customers who were also waiting for that food. Oh, and the food was meh. Many of the dishes were too salty or underwhelming. I wouldn't go back, but I do recommend this for heavy drinkers who want to drink their weight in beer and sake, which is included in the cost. read more

The restaurant is unreservedly terrific! The only issue I encountered was on lining up to the buffet selection, especially on fish and tempura station, each time I get to the serving plate, almost nothing was left for me to get. So, my going there on a Sunday lunch, where there was plenty of customers, could probably the downside. The restaurant scene can be so noisy, especially when there were lots of people dining and chatting on their table. But, for the price of the buffet, I think, it was really worth going there. read more

Total disappointment and we will never eat there again. Last evening we had the buffet for 8 family members. I can't say that any of the food tasted right. It was crowded and there was not enough room to even pass by the serving areas. At the carving table several types of meat was displayed, but a small amount was tossed in the grill, before placing what amounted to two bites on your plate. The large piece of pork on the serving counter looked delicious, but when you asked for a serving of it, the chef said "It is already mixed in with the rice, you can get it there." Later, I asked where the restroom was. I was told, "Go outside, across the parking lot to that other building, Viking Venues, the restroom is there." (Women's restroom was in the restaurant.). Overall, poor service, and poor quality. If you like Old Country Buffet in America, you will enjoy less quality at Vikings in Manila for more than twice the price. Never again for us! read more

Vikings has become THE birthday destination, what with its uber popular birthday promo. Celebrators may avail of free buffet lunch or dinner on their birthday (when accompanied by at least one full paying adult) or even within their birthday month (when accompanied by at least four full paying adults). For those keen on taking advantage of the promo, take note that adequate proof, such as a valid ID with your birth date written on it, is required. I did celebrate my last birthday here with a few of my officemates and my sisters, and it was a nice treat. The place is not too packed at lunchtime, so there were no queues in the buffet tables. Like always, I spent a lot of time in their dimsum and Japanese food area. I also love their drinks here. This is such a simple thing, but one worthy of mention, because bad drinks could sometimes break a meal. The last time I visited, Vikings offered refreshing dalandan juice. On my first time, I had my first taste of Twinnings' Echinacea and Raspberry iced tea there, which, after that, became my official tea at home. Meanwhile, my sisters finished their meals quickly so they could go straight to dessert. The avocado ice cream is yummy! Be serenaded by Vikings' official "carolers", who bring lots of laughter and of course, good music to the dining area as they go table per table. Celebrators are made to wear an oversized vikings hat, which makes for a good photo op, and presented with a simple vanilla mini cake with a candle on top. Being the introvert that I am, I asked (ehem, threatened) my companions not to reveal that it's my birthday so we could be spared the extra attention. There was such a long wait as a walk in. I noticed patrons taking their time after a meal to sit and chat. With a huge crowd and plenty of people waiting there should be a time limit during peak dinner hours. There is a wide variety of selection but the food was cold. The staff couldn't keep up with replenishing the dishes. I would not recommend this place to any foreigners as there are better quality buffets in Manila. read more

I'd say that this place is one of the pioneer places of luxury buffets here in the metro. As their name implies, this place has a viking theme complete with a long boat shaped restaurant and place mats that have a geographical map of the restaurant. Each continent with a different cuisine. This place never gets old. Whenever there's birthday, a relative visiting Manila, or any other special occasion there's definitely room for a dinner buffet. When I first came here, I was overwhelmed by all the food. They literally had everything. From Chinese Dim Sum, to Japenese Sushi and soups, to Salads and cheese to seafood, to italian pizza and pasta, to american steaks to desert cakes and mousses. The last thing I eat here is their mint chocolate chip Ice Cream .You could spend a couple of hours just trying everything they have. Having someone to talk to in between meals can help you relax before you fill your plate again. This place is usually packed on weekends and paydays so it's best to call them for reservations. Touting itself as a "luxury buffet restaurant", it's truly impressive how Vikings has managed to branch out into eight different locations across the metro in just a span of a few years. I first got to try Vikings when were invited by relatives to join them for dinner on a Saturday evening. I greatly enjoyed my time there. Vikings offers a wide variety of cuisines including but not limited to Japanese, American, Modern European, Italian, Chinese, and Filipino. It was such a special treat that the dessert selection had candies!! I truly felt like a child in a candy store and didn't know where to begin, or end. Just a tip: on weekends and holidays, rates are pricier by P200 so it's a good idea to make reservations at another branch. read more

After watching half of the 12 minute infomercial about the place, I was sold it was going to be an upscale Las Vegas type of buffet...although it did have the look and feel of one, the food was not on point or gave enough wow factor enough to come back. I sampled the sushi first and it tasted like it was sitting out for a long time because the rice was hard. The Italian and American that my son ate were cold (pizzas, chicken Parmesan, burgers). The steamed crab claws were small. The other foods like the Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, and Vietnamese lacked the flavor I'm used to. The best part of this place is the variety of drinks and deserts...the make-your-own halo-halo was a hit! Overall, I would give this place 3.5 stars. The place does have an inviting appeal and good for large crowds. Great for birthdays as the place erupts with a celebration and a dance routine from the servers and chefs. If there is a zero rating, that's what this establishment will get. 1) Why are walk-ins treated like second-class citizens in favor of Reservations? While walk-ins pay up front, do reservations pay in advance? NO. 2) SUSUKATIN PA DAW ANG MGA BATA?! This is the most laughable thing I've ever had to deal with! So that means bawal matangkad ganon? May mga batang 5 years old na pero maliit. Pero may iba lalo na pag foreigner matangkad ang bata maski bata pa. Edi pano yon? Hahaha diba? So, ang tama is by age not by height. 3) It's my Mom's birthday kaya kami pumunta dito pero hinanapan pa siya ng birth certificate?!!! Ano to nag-aapply ba kami ng trabaho? Kami na magbabayad kami pa binastos? Guys, more training sa staff. Saka ayusin niyo policy niyo. Decide whether you're going to be a fine dining restaurant or a buffet. It's already a name everyone does recognize as one of the biggest buffet places in the Metro. Do you remember the time when you'd have to wait a really long time to be seated because Vikings was always full? and at certain times today it still would be like that. It was one of those restaurants that was part of a very big hype and everyone wanted to try it and for those that liked it, they kept coming back. I like this branch in particular because of it's size and arrangement. What I liked from their selection is mostly the pica pica food and what I loved about them is their drink section since they have a lot to offer and it comes with the buffet price. I'd recommend this to buffet lovers or those of you who are in a big group and would like a different buffet experience if you haven't tried it already. read more

As far as buffets go by US standards I thought this place was really good.. They offer a variety of foods from Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese and Filipino. It's close to the airport so In case you are starving when you land - you can swing over here for a quick bite. The place is nice. But I think Im still looking for something more. The variety of food still lacks those that you know people would enjoy in a buffet table. You would have to wait a long queue to get those that you know would really get your money's value. And more often, they are not available. Don't even compare this to an upscale buffet restaurant. Someone mentioned Las Vegas style and I chuckled because this place isn't even near to hometown buffet. I'd rather eat at a karenderia than this place. First of, don't come here when its close to closing time. They will only serve you left overs and will not replenish their dishes. I got in about 40 min before they pull out the dishes and 1 hour before they close. All I saw was crumbs and fat that other people did not want to eat. The grill still went on but by the time you got your grilled food it's closing time. They should close the place 1.5 hours before they actually close and not let anyone in after that time. They even turned off their fountain drinks at the same time they pulled out their food. People were freaking trying to turn the juice jars upside down to get something to drink. The thing that really pissed me off the most was that I paid full price, close to 5k pesos for 4 people which included an 8 year old. I mean sure it's like $100 but for $25 I could've eaten at another place, enjoyed it, and had enough food left over to take home. I guess if you really wanted to try the place make sure you call for reservations and to come early. Food is not that special, not any better than Gerry's grill or Gilligan's and other sit down restaurants. If you love crumbs, fat, and fish heads then this is your place. Make sure to bring something to drink just in case they close down the drink station on you. I wouldn't recommend this place. Too expensive and not worth their service and the food.
