They could tie a rope from one tree to another and swing part of that tree side ways as it fell. It was really amazing I'd never seen anything like it. They had a crew of six or seven men that moved in unison as the need arises they knew exactly what to do. They worked as a team together. You can tell they were professional's of the highest quality. We had several local businesses come out and bid and even though Tri-State was not the least expensive Roger knew what he was talking about and gave a fair price. The cheaper alternative would have required a lift that wouldn't have fit in the space, so I'm thinking the cheaper bid would have become more expensive when it came down to it. Anyway, Roger and his large crew showed up 15 minutes early, checked in with us, and got to work. They had one climber, who I watched move and check his ropes every time after he made a cut, and the rest of the guys kept busy cutting the sections on the ground and hauling the pieces out to their wood chipper. Roger even offered to get rid of some other junk branches (from the slow death period) that we'd put in the back yard. I am impressed with their attention to safety, work ethic, and end result. I would highly recommend Tri-State Tree Service for any work you need done in or near Jefferson County, WV.

Because 11 of our 150+ year old oaks were topped 35 years ago by previous owners, we have extensive experience with tree services. In the past few years, we have had Craig and his crew from Evergreen Tree Service here several times, usually with their crane because of the size of the job. They are prompt, honest, hard working, extremely experienced and cleanup is excellent. Service: A few years ago, one of our giant oaks near the highway fell and just the crown of it closed both lanes of the highway. While the police were trying to get responders from VDOT, I called Evergreen to see if they could come out in the next week for an emergency. Within 20 minutes I saw Craig walking down the line of backed up cars with a chainsaw and a big smile. He had that crown cut up and the road unblocked in about 1/2 hour. Evergreen then rearranged their schedule to come back 2 days later to get the trunk and the rest of the crown which had trapped all but one of our cars in the driveway. While they might not be able to respond to everyone that quickly, know that if there is an emergency, they will try.

This is my second time working with Green Vista, and I continue to be impressed with their service…read more What I really appreciate is how honest and upfront they are. When evaluating my trees, they clearly explained which ones needed deadwood removal and which ones were fine at the time. They also had to remove one tree from my front yard, and they took the time to explain in detail why removal was necessary. I recently worked with Rodney, and he was great about discussing the details of the job and explaining his recommendations. He is obviously very knowledgeable about trees and clearly cares deeply about his work. I especially appreciated that he was there with the crew on the day they removed the deadwood and walked me through what they were doing. Of all the companies I contacted, Green Vista also seemed to have the most appropriate equipment for the job. Several other companies weren't confident they could get their lift into my backyard. Green Vista was able to do it, and they laid down appropriate tracking and ground protection to make sure there was no damage to my lawn. In one case, I found two dead branches that weren't visible from my side of the property. Rodney and the team came back quickly and took care of them, which I really appreciated. I know I'll be using Green Vista again in the future. Their pricing is excellent considering they have a certified arborist involved, and most importantly, they genuinely seem to care about the health of the trees rather than trying to upsell you. Highly recommended.
