My parents have been using ChemTec for nearly a year now for regular maintenance. Not only are they consistent with the regular sprays and visits to the home; but, they are always available and efficient immediately when there is any problem, arranging to be at your home right away. Recently we had a problem with spiders coming in and a few people getting bitten with some pretty annoying effects requiring antibiotics. ChemTec came out the next day and our specialist, Shawn Aughey spent the time to explain our options of how to treat the home, how it will effect us being in the home, what exactly it would take care of, and also helped us determine the best laid plan for everything. Now even though we called specifically about the spiders and we do have regular maintenance for other pests, we had just today noticed a bee wasp issue as well, which without question, Shawn took care of as well. After treating the area, he came in to explain that while spraying a roach was found (NOOOOOOOOOOOOO so gross) He took the time to explain what type it was, what it looked like, which helped us discover it wasn't us who had a problem with roaches, but rather it was the exact bug I've seen at work that the exterminator there lied saying wasn't a roach!!!! Shawn spent time patiently explaining everything we need to know about roaches and what we should do if they start to show up in the house and just how helpful ChemTec can be. Overall, our experience was beyond pleasant, informative, and comforting. Shawn was an excellent representative and extremely knowledgeable of all pests and the best ways to deal with them. We called Chemtec for a huge problem with Yellow jackets in my daughter's room. They came out immediately and came back several times to keep the problem under control. All the guys were friendly and stayed long enough to be sure that no bees entered the house. They all took the time to answer all of my questions. It seemed we had a hive hidden under the roof vent, one in the basement and in the attic, they were coming in through a tiny hole in the downspout and all seemed to make their way into the room through the windows or recessed light casings. We had 15 a day at one point and ended up finding or killing over 300 yellow jackets! The problem has been resolved though we have kept the service as it is an old house and we are surely not the only inhabitants. They come by regularly to treat the house and send a card in the mail to let you know when they will be here. read more

What an outstanding experience! After seeing a handful of cave crickets in the past few months in the basement, today was the final straw. I called in a panic, after finding one on my main living level. Dan, one of Chemtek's salesmen, sent Pat L. over within 1 & 1/2 hrs! Pat was super informative, friendly, and very happy to explain each step thoroughly. He spent quite a bit of time assessing the situation. He even checked the entire outdoor perimeter, including the garage. Pat offered constructive advice on all types of pests and overall made us feel confident we called the right company. The owner should be proud knowing Pat represents his interests very well indeed! We were so happy, we signed up for the maintenance program. The next time, I'm going to request Pat return. Very happy to share my initial experience with Chem Tec. Anthony was great on the phone in helping me with my recent problem with carpenter ants. He walked me through the process and explained the service contract in a professional and courteous manner which gave me great confidence that I had chosen the right company. I recently woke up to a swarm of ants streaming into my house. After dealing with the same problem last year on my own I decided to give the professionals a try. I called Chem Tec and they sent an exterminator the same day. A.J. Toribio gave us a 15 minute advance call and arrived on time and wearing protective clothing (which I particularly appreciated during the Covid-19 outbreak). Mr. Toribio was respectful, courteous and most efficient. He took his time to explain what he was doing and what had contributed to the ant infestation. The fact that he took the time to explain and help me understand gave me peace of mind and confidence in the job he was doing. It was about 7:30 am, I was leaving my house and noticed a ChemTec van on my street. I asked the driver (AJ) if he was servicing my house today, as I noticed a few ants in my kitchen. He said he had me on the schedule for later. I asked if he could come now, so I could let him in to my kitchen. He could not be more accommodating. AJ came right up the driveway, addressed the ant problem in the kitchen and asked to go to the basement , where he pointed out spider webs in the window areas and moisture areas that needed attention. Shawn Aughey the technician came on 5/21 to do a termite inspection. I was worried about having termites and he did a complete thorough inspection throughout the house. He explained what he thought the problem was and assured me that there were no termites. I thought he was very professional. It was a pleasure dealing with him. It was easy to get an appointment and I like the fact that he was on time and called ahead. I get periodic inspections with my contract and I look forward to the next time he comes. I have used Chemtec for pest control for many years at 4 different homes, and I've used them for lawncare since they went into the business a couple of years ago. I don't want to handle the chemicals at all. They are outstanding - knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful without being pushy. I've called them up to ask general questions about our shrubs or about when to spray for ants, and they answer the questions well, even if they aren't going to get any direct business from it. We recently used ChemTec Pest Control for an issue we had with ants inside our home. I called and spoke with an agent who gave a price quote for the service I needed and explained in depth what would be done. DAVE WILSON came out, called when he was on his way and was right on time. He treated all possible areas with a gel and treated the perimeter of home. He explained what type of ants they were and why they come into the home etc. He said it could take up to 10 days to see the ants die but woke up this morning and it already worked! We have been using ChemTec (in Bergen County) for a bit over a year now and have had a great experience with all their technicians. Rodney in particular has been fantastic! I scheduled for a treatment for mice (my first time contacting Chemtec for services). The morning of the appointment, I noticed an unpleasant smell in my basement. i narrowed it down to the vent hose from my dryer. When the tech, Dave Wilson arrived, I led him there before he started any other treatments. I called Chem Tec Pest Control to remove a wasp nest in my gutter. I called around 2:15 pm and by 3:30 the technician had come and left. I was fortunate in that he was not far away but I was told that someone would be there within a few hrs. which was fine with me. Ricardo came and was such a pleasant technician. He was knowledgeable, respectful and took care of the bees in a professional manner.
