This is not a professional doctor at all. I went here on a recommendation. I came here and paid $175 to be seen because I was waiting to be assigned a primary care doctor by my insurance. I waited so long, the receptionist was rude and judge mental. Then I get seen by the doctor and he examen my abdomen area when I went there for a sore throat + cough. This place is trash. If I could I'd give them no stars. I called at 11:09 there was a message saying they have an hour lunch. That's fine. So I called multiple times again after 12. Still on lunch. I called again at 1:47 the message changed to " we have lunch from 12-2. Are you serious??? On top of that. They picked up after 2:00 and I asked if I could do a walk in, because I'm extremely sick, no voice, swollen eyes, congested and all. They didn't even care. I first called the doctors office on October 2. I had just signed up for him to be my primary care provider under MediCal after doing hours of research online looking at reviews for doctors. Me: Hi! I'd like to schedule a regular check up. It's my first time. I'm on MediCal. Receptionist (at the doctor's office): Oh, you're on MediCal? The doctor isn't seeing MediCal patients until January. Me: January? Are you 100 percent positive? Not seeing MediCal patients at all? Receptionist: Correct. Me: Is that legal? Receptionist: I don't know. In case you can't do the math, that's *three months* out from when I made the call. I called my plan provider under MediCal and, sure enough, the doctors have an agreement with MediCal to see new patients within 14 days of requesting an appointment. Furthermore, they are supposed to see returning patients within about 3-5 days. The agent will be helping me find a different MediCal doctor who abides by the rules of their agreement and is true to their word. She assured me that her superiors would discuss this with doctor Thukral. She also told me I was not the first to complain about this doctor's policy. If you are on MediCal, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT request this doctor. He obviously doesn't want you as a patient. Even if you aren't on MediCal, do you really want to be treated by someone who has so little integrity and respect for human health? You make the decision. read more

When I lost hope in ALOT of doctors. He actually has showed me that he cares in what happens. I have never met a doctor that actually sits down and help you through pain, stress etc. When there were times where doctors didn't beleive my symptoms he actually sat there and took it seriously . He even managed to squeeze me in under one day. Yea the timing up front of the desk is long. Most unprofessional doctor i have ever experienced. Let me start by saying this doctor will profile you and if you are not married and having sex will say you should not do that. Besides that the doctor office is not kept at right temperature. He also does tests that aren't needed to make his bill increase and make money. He also will only send you to his friends and if you would like to go to a more qualified place he will not because he is a in cahoots with a few other doctors. He does not provide good feedback. I would strongly recommend Indians or non Indians not go to this provider. I will be also sending a complaint to the medicine board because vijays refusal to send referrals for emergency surgery. He hangs up on his clients and says bad words. This doctor needs to go back to India and practice their because their is no regulations and he can do as much trickery as he wants. He also has a foul order that comes from him and his office. No respect for his patients and he thinks he is god. Also his schooling is very old and more doctors have better school and better experience that can help you better. Stay away from this doctor even if you are Indian. He will do nothing for you and just bill you. Schooling is outdated and he is just bad. Their are so many good doctors dont settle for him. You deserve more. Only people that dont know any better will continue to go to him. Their are very good indian doctors he just is not one. FYI.. they have moved their office to milpitas as of june.... i came to dr. thukral after hearing great things from my roomie.. i had a really great doctor when i lived in vegas and i was in need of a primary care physician after moving here. i was able to get an appt the same week and was very happy. i had an appt at 9:30.. I came in around 9:15 and filled out the usual paperwork. i think i finally got to see the doctor at 10:30. this is understandable if he is busy.. but the office opens at 9 and there was only 1 couple waiting before me. whatevs.. there were two women at the reception desk. one was younger and was very friendly. the other was older and she was also nice but she had no idea what she was doing when she was taking my vitals and my medical history. she had the hardest time typing and needed spell checker... omg! she kept deleting everything she was writing and starting from scratch and i even had to correct her when she typing false information.. its like hey! i didn't say that! she was one of those ppl who type with just their index fingers.. this was very painful to watch.. anyhoo.. dr. thukral seemed nice upon initial contact. he went over my medical history as usual and we moved on to my concerns. he totally disregarded my concerns and that made me feel really stupid. he used his 20 years of experience as reassurance that everything was fine.. and in the end he pushed me out the door with some labwork referrals that ended up proving him wrong. do not go to this doctor! read more

My appointments were cancelled and rescheduled 3 consecutive times - Dr. Thukral was not available. I was eventually scheduled to their nurse practitioner - who also became unavailable and had to reschedule that as well. In addition, she could not prescribe anything without calling the doctor - who was not available. No backup physician or recommended physician was provided. I was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, and then Dr. Thukral became unavailable. I have no reason to return to or recommend this office. read more

I visited Dr.Vijay Thukral on 05-April-2016. Making an appointment: I called on 31-Mar-2016 to see if they have any availability for Annual Physical Check-up. The front desk gave me an availability of 05-April. So it was easy. They also called me a day before to check and confirm my appointment the next day. Wait before check-up: I arrived 20 mins before my scheduled appointment and I filled-in the required information and gave it back to the front desk person. She typed my DOB wrong so I had to call the next day to make it correct. I waited for another 10 mins before I was showed in to the check-up room. During the check-up: The lady who sits on the front desk showed me to Room#2 and gathered all my information about medical history on the computer. She also took my picture so she can put it in my records. Doctor's check-up: Doctor Thukral was very polite, he again checked all my records on computer and asked me if I have missed anything. He also did my complete physical check-up and spent time to listen to what all I have to say. Then he explained to me about my concerns. Afterwards, he suggested to get my blood sugar and cholesterol checked. Over-all a good visit and good doctor. read more

I have been seeing Dr Thukral for over 18 years as my Primary care physician.. I moved my house 10 years ago ( which is 15-20 miles away from his office ) and I still go to see him in spite of 35 minutes drive from home. He is very thorough and asks right questions compared to few doctors who have no clue and just write prescriptions. He spends time in understanding issues and because of his over 25 years experience he seems to quickly figure out the basic issues. In spite of all good stuff one thing is not so good and that is waiting time is long to see him even with appointment. In general he is highly recommended and only time I will switch to new Primary care doctor may be due to the commuting distance. read more

Best doctor I've had since I lost my Kaiser coverage...he is compassionate and gives you his attention when you are being seen by him. It seems now-a-days that doctors just give you the hum hum and write you a Rx and your in and out in 2 minutes. DO NOT SEE THIS PHYSICIAN UNLESS YOUR INDIAN AND IN PERFECT HEALTH I made an appointment yesterday to see this physician . When i called i asked if the physician had an open practice which usually means .Yes, I'm taking new patients. I went in and it is my first time using this ppo insurance ( I have been in the kaiser system for 22 years ) I took some of my medical records to him . The sheet had a history of 22 years on it with medical conditions that i have had in my 20's,30's and now 40's he so rudely told me . I DO NOT WANT YOU AS MY PATIENT YOU HAVE TO MANY PROBLEMS . This physician is deceiving ,discriminating and just takes your money and does not help you . I have a ppo my copay is high it is $45.00 so he took the copay and told me you need to find another physician and was mad at me for scheduling a new patient appointment at 4:45 when that is the time that his staff gave me. To make things more interesting I went prepared made copies of my records and filled out there 6 page questionnaire on THEIR WEBSITE when i got there the receptionist told me i do not even recognize these forms . I am visiting Vijay for 5 years and been to him for multiple issues/occasions. He is not your typical doctor who maps the issues with medicine, give your quick fixes. If you wish yes you can get. However, he would make you understand what the issue is and how it can be solved and also how to prevent in future. He would give full options and you can choose.
