The Steak and Guinness Pie had a nice fluffy pastry top and was filled with lots of chunky pieces of steak and potatoes. The steak was well cooked (not chewy). The chicken soup had a good amount of chicken and pasta. You can tell it was not from a can. My friends also enjoyed the London Pub Pie and Ploughman's Lunch. The pies were well baked and hot when they were served. The beverages we ordered were nice, too. I had to say that I liked the aromatic orange grove vanilla herbal tea. The waitress who served us was funny and friendly. The restaurant was busy and she was doing what she could to be attentive. They offer hightea but when we arrived on a Saturday around 2:30pm, it was sold out. Good to know afterwards that you can call in half an hour in advance to reserve it. There was absolutely no flavor; Not even a little bit. I walked my meal, and the salt is the only thing I actually tasted. My husband's food, except for the sausage, was the same. Apparently that place thought it was trendy to only serve Oak milk and Whole milk. Both of which I cannot have. So I left there and came to Waves.
