Great service and great Pho. Large House special is the best. Go in once and Shel will remember your name for next time.

Before they moved, this was a decent small spot and the pho was always palatable. Since the move,…read morethough, the experience has gone downhill. This was my second visit to the new location. The first time, we were with a large group -- everyone was seated except two of us, and despite an empty table right next to our party, they refused to seat us together. I decided to give it another try tonight. It wasn't even busy -- maybe four other parties came in after us. Our appetizers arrived quickly, but our pho never came out, even though every group that arrived after us was served their soup. At that point, it was clear the service issues weren't a one‑off. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Prices are throwback to the good ol days; $12.40 to $14.55 for their pho/soup options. - Herbs - a generous pile of bean sprouts. - Bun rieu (#36) ($14.55) - interesting that the crab paste was combined with egg. Viet ham slices were great. Broth was okay. - Galaxy special 2 (#2) ($16.65) - salad roll and pho dac biet. Salad roll was good sized. Broth was light and lacked depth. Noodles were too soft. Decent Vietnamese fare for Chilliwack.

BEWARE of this place!…read more Food is OK. Meat portions are smaller and prices are higher compared to other Pho places. The best thing for me was their chilli oil It was pretty amazing. They automatically add a 15% gratuity to your bill, and based on their explanation, it's not up for negotiation. If you don't pay attention, you'll be scammed because there tipping "page" pops up first thing when they hand you the machine to settle your bill. In Canada, tips are NOT mandatory. If you are satisfied with the food and service, then you pay a tip that you want - it's a choice. Restaurants cannot add a tip of their choice to your bill, this restaurant is a scam. I'd lodge an official complaint about this shady business. My friends who were there with us will do that too. People need to speak up and not get bullied by shady businesses. We are usually generous with tips but I don't appreciate a restaurant making a tipping decision on my behalf.

4.5 Stars First time trying the Pho here. The service was…read moreprompt and polite. The server kept our glasses topped up with water throughout the meal. Our group ordered three types of noodle soups: #31 Pho Do Bien: seafood #18 Phoʻ Dăc Biêt: six beef cuts/parts #9 Pho Nam: beef brisket All the soups were served hot and tasted fresh. A plate mounded with bean sprouts, Thai basil and lime was also provided for us to share. The broths were very "clean" tasting, not too salty or laden with oil/fat. The amount of protein in the soup was slightly on the lighter side, but adequate. Prices for the Pho were about the same as in Vancouver if not a little higher (for the large bowl). The front of the menu clearly states 15% gratuity will be added to the bill (at least it's calculated before GST!), and the server did remind us the 15% gratuity was already added to our bill when she gave it to us (so, selected "no tip" at time of payment). The 15% was well deserved. We all agreed the soup was very comforting and hit the spot for us.

I found this " vegetable and tofu" roll the most bland I've had. No herb, sauce , crunch.... I am a fresh roll lover, so a little discerning, but this was truly flavorless. Tofu, rice noodles, leaf lettuce and rice paper. Thats it. Like eating a carrier for too little peanut sauce. The pho was filling and came with a plate of bean sprouts referred to as "the vegetables" . The Vietnamese coffee was tasty but presentation awkward. It came as Condensed milk in a cup with a pour- over atop this and the separate glass of ice. I'm no expert in this ritual but I am accustomed to having the milk cold in the ice and the brewed coffee in a spouted vessel for easy pouring into the iced milk. Here we had to mix the brewed coffee, then add it dribbling and spilling to the ice. No big deal but awkward. It tasted good. The prices were reasonable and parking a lot shared with the strip mall . Not within the restaurant's control , but in circling for a spot around one lane, I was nearly backed into by not 2 not 3 but 4 cars. I think I recall a cannabis shop being in the mall or nearby. This may explain that. The service was friendly throughout. The place was empty but the time was odd. I don't think we'd return based upon the fresh rolls alone.

They were also really accommodating as we had a pretty large party of 13 people, although they have a fixed gratuity for large parties, which is completely fair. Although everything tasted great, I do feel as if the portion size for the meat could've been larger considering the price.

We shared an order of Chile chicken wings and a bowl called Henry special. The wings were oily and overcooked and Henry special also was not good. The special was vermicelli noodles with prawns, grilled pork, grilled pork patties and spring rolls with cucumbers and bean sprouts. It was served with peanuts and a very sparse serving of house made fish sauce. I think the pork was off because it had a funny taste and texture to it. It was not very good. The service was very good but it was very disappointing compared to our last experience.
