The staff told us how much they loved Rocco, how he was very friendly and adapting quickly. **Preface: our dog has never had any skin issues in the 3 months we've had him** We noticed on 9/9 he had a patch of scabs on the back of his neck, but didn't think anything of it because he runs through fields and likes to play in the bushes. We then boarded him over this past weekend because we were getting married and didn't want to leave him locked up in a hotel room all weekend. We now wish that's what we would've done. 30 minutes before picking up our baby this morning, my husband received the text in the picture from a staff member. We were assured everything was fine and there was nothing else to be concerned about because he was doing better. As you can clearly see in these photos, there is still blood and a gaping wound in our dogs neck. The lack of transparency and compassion for our dog is absolutely ridiculous. They couldn't even be bothered to wipe the blood of his neck. We are unsure how he got this wound, but quite frankly it doesn't even matter because we can't trust Dogtopia to be truthful about it. Safe to say we will NEVER bring Rocco back.

And we knew she needed what we didn't understand how to give. Enter Tiffany. This was 4 weeks (yikes!!!). It was so hard -- we were obsessed with watching Misha on Paradise Pet's cameras. We would visit each week to see Misha's progress. Let me tell you this... if you are frustrated. If you are unsure. Please do this for your pet -- and even more, for yourself. It's a game changer. Tiffany was able to teach our fur baby commands. They are now ingrained. But she NEVER broke Misha's spirit. That is an art. Misha is now acclimated toward other dogs -- she's learned how to be a dog. And she learned that commands are fun and rewarding. I will admit that 4 weeks was A LOT to be without her. And on the days we went to check on her progress, we were very sad when we had to leave her there. (Very sad). But Misha's calmness, her response to commands... it's miraculous. It's an expense. It's a month without your pupster. It's not a small decision. But, in our experience, it's been absolutely brilliant. We learned something from her absence, and she learned to be a dog. We highly recommend Pet Paradise... btw, the facility is VERY clean, the staff is affectionate and proactive... the boarding aspect is stellar. It is reassuring to be able to live feed and see how your pet is doing. And, we HIGHLY recommend Tiffany. She is firm, consistent, kind, affectionate. No nonsense. Misha loved her, but more importantly, respected her. And then she taught us how to replicate that. Thank you Tiffany. Thank you Pet Paradise. Well done.

Bella usually doesn't like other dogs but they got her playing with other Shepherds, which we were extremely happy to hear. The thing about when we picked her up, she was really happy, not just to see us, it was almost like she didn't want to leave her new friends! Tony called every number listed trying to get ahold of me and even called my mother who is also a client to track me down. He was so worried about my little guy he was getting ready to take him to the vet. Luckily I told Tony it was just rice so to keep an eye on him they had my little guy stay up front with them (with my permission of course). This morning was cold, rare for Florida causing my little guys arthritis to bother him, so they carried him back and kept a watchful eye on him and said if he was having problems, they would put him in a separate area so it didn't get aggravated further. Luckily, he was fine and played with all his friends. Every morning my dog gets so excited to go today care he does a "Happy Howl" as soon as we pull into the parking lot. When he sees Tony and Yolanda getting out of their car, he does another "Happy Howl" he absolutely loves them and going to Preppy Pet. I cannot recommend them enough. Recently my new kitten, that they had never even seen as a patient yet, was seriously injured in a freak and very tragic accident. I rushed him in, knowing that they aren't even an emergency Vet. They immediately took him back. They tried everything. Including, but not limited to, intubating him. Sadly, by the time we got him to them he was too far gone and despite their heroic efforts his little heart just couldn't handle the trauma and he passed on. I can't say enough good things about how they handled it though. I know they went above and beyond for him even though they're likely not equipped for most emergencies. I suspect most primary Vets aren't. I am very grateful for their efforts and intend to remain a loyal client for the rest of my life. I can't imagine that most non-emergency vets would do something like that. They will. Highly recommend.

I asked why it was much more than what I was quoted over the phone. I was told it must have been quoted in error and that was the cost. I called the next day to ask the office manager about the error and to see if the doctor would provide a courtesy credit on my account. I felt like that would be a reasonable solution. The next thing I know I receive a letter in the mail from the doctor with a $20 check and him telling me I am an unappreciative client and that I'm no longer welcome at his practice. Very strange!

She also has Old Dog Vestibular Disease, and they watched her the whole time because she gets off balance. I'm so grateful to them! They really care, and it shows. After being to the vet and taking the medications, I'm glad to inform that KHLOE IS BACK TO HER OLD SWEET SELF. Meaning: she wasn't sick when she went to get groomed. She got sick 1-2 days after that so bad that we thought we were going to loose her (she's 16). ANOTHER MISTAKE was done and eventhough I tried to get the info from the vet (that I'm not going to mention here, but Khloe will no longer be their patient)... Before grooming, the employee asked me about her shots, which I did not have the info on hand... In front of me, she called (?) the vet who apparently gave her the okay to go ahead with the grooming. Detail: her BORDATELLA had expired on 10/25/25.Which I didn't know and I believe it's required for dogs who socialize with others. She should had denied service right there. At this point, I don't know who's "not telling the thruth". Khloe wasn't seen by her usual vet, but another one who's not listed on their website. When I enquired the vet, they "go around and around" without a "direct response" eventhough "all calls are recorded". I can only get to one conclusion: they're protecting each other. Be careful with who your trust "your babies" with... principally when they're old. We're their voices and it has been proved to me that not always these businesses have their best interest on mind, but that the $$$$ is way more important. Thanks to YELP who allow us to write here a review that can not be purchased and/or changed by the business owner. ps.1 - Yes... She had knots this time as many other times in the past. Groomers should know how to deal with that.
