I went in for a walk-in. There was no availability at the time I went, but Spank had an opening 12 pm, so I made that appointment. I returned to the tattoo shop by 12 pm, and there was no sign of Spank. One of the other artists called and asked for his eta and he said 15 minutes. My friend and I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for Spank. He then took an additional hour to set up and get everything ready. We didn't start getting tattooed until around 1:30pm, and even then we got extremely simply fine line tattoos. My tattoo linework is patchy and the lines were bleeding as soon as I left. I have other fine line tattoos from other artists and have never experienced anything like this. While Spank is a very nice person, the entire experience left me so unsatisfied, I don't think I'd ever want to return to him for a tattoo again. read more

Tommy and crew are amazing to work with as a shop. The atmosphere in the shop is fun, clean and positive. Since January of last year, I had both hands, my chest and an entire left arm sleeve done in the shop. Tommy did my hands and full sleeve while Ken did my chest. Tommy was great to work with as an artist. We discussed my vision for my arm and the meaning behind it. He did a fantastic job using my art work combined with his style to create a unique and beautiful work of art. His lines are crisp and his shading is really clean. I booked an appointment with the owner Tommy after meeting him for a consultation. I arrived at 11 am and we cleaned the forearm for placement of the stencil. We decided to place it again a little more to the right and without hesitation Tommy agreed and actually suggested. We got it clean again and set. The first 2 hours we did some dark shading then took a break and the entire crew decided to order lunch and included me. We had Chopt a salad place local in Vienna and it was awesome! They treated me like family. It was large piece so it took about 7 hours. He took his time and was very meticulous! After all its on my arm forever now. Lol. He guided me threw the different techniques and sizes of the needles. It was pretty cool I feel like I learned some of the process. I believe they close at 6pm and he stayed till 7pm! I was ripped off. Lotoe spent close to 18 hours on my tattoo and I paid 5k. He took his sweet time and about 3-4 cigarette break in between ( which he charged me for ) he milked it good and I fell for it. The work wasn't even done. I called it quits , had I stayed with him, I would have paid 7-8k. I went to yo Kai tattoo who finished the work in 1 session. Lotoe only completed half of the work. Jonny at yo Kai finished the other half in 5 hours for $600 and has cleaner lines. Don't waste your time and money. Lotoe will rip you off. $200 an hour is waaay over priced in that area. Anyone that here how much I spent , can't believe it for the work I got. I was ripped off. You live and learn. My reply to the shop owner , I spent 5k total. Some was paid via Venmo and the other was cash. I kept count. I spent 4-5 hours with Lotoe per session. Out of those 4-5 hours , 1 hour was spent on his cigarette breaks. ( which he charged me for) I complained about pain once. I cancelled once and he cancelled on me once. Aside from all of that, he only finished half. Yokai tattoo finished the same amount of work in one 4 hour session. Johnny is waaay faster and didn't charge me $200.00 an hour. Of course you'll defend your shop , my issue isn't with you or the other artists. But let's face it, I was ripped off. End of story. read more

I had a great experience with Lotoe on 6/15/22. I emailed through the website, and within a few hours, I got a detailed email saying I should text or email Lotoe. I text him, and he was quick to respond, gave an accurate estimate, and the scheduling was seamless. He had a rendering ready when I arrived but was happy to edit it and take time to make adjustments. The pricing felt more than fair-- as someone who has cheap tattoos, I can confidently say you get what you pay for. Got a fish tattoo more of a koi fish tattoo and was charged $300 dollars for such a small little tattoo on my ankle, no details, and simple. Definitely wonderful people but they will definitely not see me again. That just insane to me how I was charged less for the one that had more shading than the one that was so simple, and still paid triple the amount. Tommy is spectacular! I went to him in December 2018 for a touch-up on a tattoo I got at a different studio (in Chicago) back in March 2017. The original had scabbed and healed poorly due to the Chicagoan artist's mishandling. I'd been wanting it fixed for awhile, but was apprehensive that I'd have the same problem again. When I called Vienna Tattoo Studio, Tommy asked for photos, then called me personally to offer his very kind, professional advice on whether it was a good idea to do a touch-up. upon arrival to my first session with jesse there should have been a stencil already prepared for me but there wasn't... so this tattoo was done freestyle which was never discussed prior. Additionally , there were errors/red flags such as crocked lines which had to be thickened in an attempt to correct that and lack of colors (artist blended colors to make one) .The tattoo appears messy, doesn't blend, transition well, or look like the design asked for. I have reached out to express my concerns and a phone call was arranged telling me i can pay for corrections.
