They have many different levels of paint and are happy to explain the differences. I painted the exterior of my house, using their top end(Emerald) and could not be happier! Bought the paint during a 40% sale, which made the price much better. I was a bit skeptical of the claims to be resident to dirt, fading and a huge list of other items and am now a believer. The paint still looks like the house was either just power washed or freshly painted, 2 years. I guess the saying you get what you pay for is very true with Emerald paint. The manager, Sean and the rest of his staff are pleasant and very helpful. If you have any painting questions, head here versus a big box store!

Service is busy early in the morning as they have plenty of contractors so be prepared to be patient. As for the paint quality in my opinion it out performs most of Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore products at a much better price. On commercial projects we use McCormick paints. There EState House Exterior paint is a great product to work with at a much lower price. There interior Revo paints Are Zero VOC and Greenwise certified paint at a fantastic price. If I had to compare Revo to Promar 200 I will say that the Revo paint is more comparable to the interior Sherwin-Williams Super paint. So my review is based on the quality of paint.

This is my first time dealing with the Benjamin Moore brand, so I didn't realize that each store…read morecan charge its own price for products. Unfortunately, Color Wheel is on the expensive end. Every paint product I inquired about is more expensive here than at the Vienna Paint & Decorating Co. Some examples: BM paint sample: $7 at Vienna, $9 at Color Wheel BM Advance Primer gallon: $50 at Vienna, $55 at Color Wheel BM Advance paint gallon: $53 at Vienna, $58 at Color Wheel I think the reason is because the Color Wheel has a decorator on staff in its McLean location. However, I went to the Merrifield location, so I didn't get that benefit. Although I suppose there's something to be said for convenience since the Merrifield location is across the street from Home Depot, where you will likely be picking up other supplies for your home improvement project. But in any case, on Christmas Eve, the Vienna Paint & Decorating Co. was closed, so I had no choice but to pay these higher prices since I wanted to paint over the weekend. That said, the man working behind the counter was extremely knowledgeable, having done the same exact project as me (painting kitchen cabinets), and was happy to spend time with me to give tips and advice on how to do the project well. So although I'm still miffed by the prices, I was happy with the service I got.

This review is specifically for Lenny at the Sherwin-Williams Chain Bridge location--and the…read moreincredible level of customer care, patience, attention to detail, and product expertise Lenny brought to our experience. Lenny was AMAZING in helping me achieve the right custom stain blend for my red oak hardwood floors. What really stood out was Lenny's patience and depth of knowledge--taking the time to explain how different color components like green, black, and white interact with wood, and staying fully engaged through multiple rounds of testing until we got it exactly right. Lenny literally went the extra mile for us. While I was out of town and in a jam trying to get the right stain to my house in time for my contractors, Lenny worked with me remotely (sending pictures of samples) and then personally drove to my home to drop off the final stain. That level of care made all the difference--we were able to return home from spring break on time without having to stay somewhere else due to the fumes. Sherwin-Williams is lucky to have Lenny. I didn't find anyone at other stores--including the other Sherwin-Williams locations, Benjamin Moore's, Home Depots /Lowes, McCormick Paints or Floor & Decor--who could match his level of knowledge, patience, or willingness to go this far to help.
