Note that at this time (August 2019) there seems to be peace here in Tijuana. Manufacturers are coming here from all over the world for various reasons to start up manufacturing operations. With the current China-US trade war, there is a lot interest from companies dealing with China. The area is now growing again and after 911 there was a transition to serve the local community. Now there are fewer curio shops and more restaurants, brew pubs, coffee houses, and International food courts. If you are on the fence about coming here, get off it and come visit.
