They were a lifesaver Wednesday…read morenight after the local Beaumont Transit (bus) service that I depend on for transportation decided to call it a night and not run the buses after 6pm because of the heavier than normal rains that the area had been experiencing. There was a short delay as they were experiencing somewhat heavy customer demand and they were unable to come immediately, but they did come and pick me up and deliver me to my residence ... This after I had waited at Wendy's on Dowlen Road in Beaumont over 2 1/2 hours waiting on a bus to come and pick up passengers. Thank you La Uno for your great service ... !~

After 20 minutes we called back and they said they got stuck in traffic?? at 8:30 at night. when the driver finally came almost an hour later, I wasn't even upset. I figured you know things happen, then when we get into the vehicle the driver is asking us are we in a rush. I tried to explain that we took an Uber to the restaurant to eat but it kept getting canceled when we tried to leave and we didn't know it was gonna be that hard to rebook. Then he goes on to a rant about how Uber drivers should be hung or lynched and how the governor of Texas has outlawed the use of the Uber's, and they still sneaking behind the lines. I was mortified at the points he was making about lynching as a black person. I was really perturbed and chose not to say anything additional because I just wanted get back safely. Then he goes further into his rant about governor saying that a law is coming out to stop cussing. The driver was bat crazy. To add on he never turned on a meter and didn't tell us how much the ride would be. Lastly he did not clarify that it was a Cash Only cab. Then he starts acting like it's my fault that I didn't know how much. I asked did he take any other form of payment other than cash and he asked me where am I from like I am the ignorant one. This was the most insane driver I have ever experienced and I will never utilize the service again. Ride at your own risk!

There were multiple phone calls to arrange the ride, a very fair price for the distance, and Jason drove through the rain of a tropical storm to get him. Also on top of that the rates are horrendous. A 15 minute trip that would have costed $15-$20 on Uber or Lyft ended up being charged $100. No meter or any kind of indication of how the rate was being charged on their website on the taxi vehicles or over the phone. Found out that they also charged me the 45 mins of finding me due to their mistake and they do a rate of $100 per hour. I would not recommend this service unless you are in a bind and willing to breakout the wallet big time. Also they don't take credit card so you'd need to make sure you have cash.

I ended the call. He called back and stated that he was coming over the bridge and could be at the gate in 7 minutes. He sounded so unsure. Excuse me!
