I had also told him that I'm just browsing and not ready to buy one today. He gave me his suggestions and space and time to think. He also compared prices on web from Best Buy, Amazon and Costco. He also explained why they get a better price which make sense. Nevertheless I ended up buying the top of the line Samsung 950QT sound bar. Amazing at most sound. How do these guys stay in business...I can give them 10 stars..unfortunately 5 is the max here. Video Only makes stores like Fry's blush. I just picked up an LG OLED77C9PUB - 77" OLED TV for a price that you will not get anywhere. Now get this. They not only lowered the price to lower than the C9 available in Best Buy but also added a 5 year warranty. And this was including the price they added for delivery charges. What! (No Im not going to publish the price here for obvious reasons - Im mean thats for you guys to find out). But its more than what u can imagine. You wont be sorry. Go visit these guys now. Im serious! Prices were the best then and my experiences working with him and Video Only was flawless. Now, was looking for another TV and found out that Reggie was at the Mountain View store. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I been researching a new TV for months. Went to visit the store and was promptly greeted by Doug, the store manager. I wanted to replace myc15 year old Samsung LCD. Doug asked me detailed questions of what type of content I watch, room light exposure, and budget. He gave the pros and cons of each model that he recommended. Ironically he suggested the same TVs that I was leaning towards. He put played different videos (standard and high definition) so I could actually compare the TVs. Doug gave an honest recommendation and he actually suggested the lower cost TV. I went with his suggested and been extremely happy with the TV. I consider myself very knowledgeable about the latest TVs but by no means an expert. I will have no hesitation to go back to Video Only for any of my audio or video needs. They have a wide selection of TVs, soundbars, and audio receivers. The store is very clean and organized logically. You can't beat the selection, service, and most of all prices. My TV was cheaper by hundreds of dollars then the warehouse next store and the typical big box stores. They are definitely my go to store and don't hesitate to ask for Doug. read more

Customer service is absolutely unbeatable. We had the worst-case experience of having our new soundbar die within 10 minutes of installation (we had it and our new TV installed by VO's installer), and, very shortly after, much more devastatingly, the TV died. We can only speculate that the soundbar failing caused the TV damage; we know of one other person who had the exact same soundbar die (but it didn't take out their TV!), but we really don't know. Video Only made it right. They sent the installer back out with a replacement TV. The installer even tested the outlet that the surge protector was plugged into, and it was fine. We had to bring the soundbar back to swap out on out own, which they made perfectly easy. If we had bought through some big box store, we would have had to deal with the warranty, replacement, probably shipping, all of it, on our own. Our worst case scenario, which would otherwise have been an absolute nightmare, was handled spectacularly. I am so incredibly glad that we went with Video Only! As if that wasn't enough, their price really was the best we could find. The installation pushed it up to equally expensive as a big box store, but that's only because we live so far out of town. If you're actually in the Bay Area, installation will be inexpensive and the total price will probably be way better than other stores. We will definitely do business here again, and will be recommending them read more

I went in to look at TVs a no sale . I wasn't sure what I wanted but to lock the sale price I let them ring up a tv for me. I didn't take anything and didn't have them order anything. Told them I'd call in a week or so. Two days later I decided against the tv and called to cancel the order. They told me they wouldn't cancel it over the phone and I had to go into the store. Company policy!! What sleaze bags. They want me in the store to try and sell me again. They are 25 miles from me but didn't care. I told them I'd just file a disputed charge with Amex. Forget BestBuy or Fry's, even Amazon when buying TV's. The deals at Video Only and Service are just amazing. They got crazy deals that you don't see in BestBuy or even online. We compared prices for even the Q7's TV's and no one had the deal we had, or able to get the discount they gave us. They also have financing and with no interest for longer terms then any other place. All my 4 TV's came from here, all of them; no one was able to beat their price. Old fashioned store with a nice selection of products. Decent price. You'd get $150-200 off the sticker price just for asking. Some people get jazzed you by a freebies thrown in, I'd rather get a respectful decent experience. That's where this store failed miserably! Salesman "Donnelly" was pushy, disrespectful and borderline rude. - didn't care to ask what my goals were. I had plans to buy a new TV, surround sound system and wall mount. - kept hovering over my family asking "are you ready to take this home today?" - claimed "don't know if this is in stock. There's a customer at the front making a purchase. He may be getting the last one we have. We don't get stock that often so you may want to hurry up and make up your mind" - claimed there was no big difference between a 2019 and 2020 model - when I told I was going to think about it he kept asking "for just a few minutes right?"!! Think used car salesman + mattress salesman pushiness combined with DMV type indifference. That's Donnelly for you. We went back to buy a second and less expensive, but not cheap, tv for my mom's guest bedroom where we sometimes visit. The 5-star reviews are legit. We just purchased a TV from this store through Fred, the sales manager. We spent about an hour and a half in the store checking out other TVs. Fred was helpful in pointing out the feature differences but never pressured us into any particular model. It was thoroughly professional and courteous. Definitely much better service experience than at big chain stores. We ended up with a Sony TV and at 10% better price than advertised elsewhere. We also back-ordered a sound bar but changed our mind the next day. Getting a refund for it was a zip. I'll come here again to buy more and can heartily recommend. read more

After searching and reviewing 4K TVs online, I went to Video Only to compare. I had bought my previous 70" here in 2013 and was very happy with the experience. Aaron and I looked at and discussed all of the options. I walked out with a Samsung 65" that was not only $200 less than the cheapest offer online or at the store across the street, but he gave me a 5 yr warranty and an extra $50 off for being a return customer. I hope he doesn't get in trouble for my disclosing this. I took it home and hooked it up. I was not wowed by the ultra-high definition. I brought the new screen into my bedroom and played Captain Marvel on it and my 60" Sony 1080p simultaneously, and honestly felt that the Sony was clearer. I stopped in at VO and discussed it, and Aaron offered that I bring it back and compare it side-by-side to others. My son and I spent 2-3 hours looking at every 65" screen. Aaron hooked my 4K player up and we compared against other players. Turns out I'm just not that impressed with the 4K technology. My son and I decided that the LG picture was better, if only marginally. Aaron gave me $225 off the going price for that screen, returned the Samsung, and threw in the 5-yr warranty. We brought it home and I started putting it up. While waiting for a friend to come help me lift it, I turned it on. There was a crack in the display. I was careful taking it out, but never 100% sure that I didn't cause it getting it in and out of the truck. Drove it back to Aaron. He and an associate checked it out, then rolled out a new unit and put it in my truck. One signature, and we were on our way home again. This one was flawless. I went to the DMV last week to renew my driver's license. Turns out my vision has degenerated significantly. Probably why I can't appreciate the new 4Ks. I could have paid $225 more than online and still been worth it for the excellent service. I don't know how Video Only has stayed in business for so long, but you should go while they still are. read more

If you go anywhere else go by your tv you're making a huge mistake. Not only do they have the best deals but, the sales team is on point. The sales manager Craig Martin went from a accommodating sales person when we purchased a Sony TV to having "pissy" attitude when we returned the set. But the real un- accommodation began when it came to the reimbursement confusion between my bank and their refund department in Washington State. I had purchased 2 TV sets in the past with a number of accessories, and received excellent service. I appreciated Mr. Martins over 30 years experience in the industry and promoted his store and service. Great TV buying experience! I had done a lot of research online, and had any idea of the options I wanted to choose from. I went by Video Only since I had never been there before and wanted to see the TVs in person. The store is very spartan, they don't waste money and space on looking flashy like BestBuy or Frys. It has the feel of a computer part retail store like Central Computers or other professional level Computer shops, which I really liked, but may throw some people off. When I went by at lunch the store was pretty much empty, and sales person on duty, Darren, asked me if I had any questions. He answered me questions, and then let me browse on my own with no pressure. He gave me some advice about models and reenforced the research I had done. They had all the models I wanted to compare and gave me more information on it. No pressure, and I left to go back to work. After deciding on which model I wanted, I found Video Now was the same price a everyone else, although several hundred dollars cheaper on some similar models which were not right for me. They also were the closest store with the TV I wanted in stock. I researched Video Now and found the reviews to be extremely positive and everyone was very happy with the products they had bought there. I went back after work, and again found the store empty and Darren waiting there to answer more questions. I asked a few targets questions and then told him what I was looking for and why. He again confirmed everything i had found and gave me even more information than I had found online. The sales process was easy and quick, they offered HDMI cables, but didn't push, same with the warranty. I took advantage of their 2 year protection plan for a great price. Darren helped me load it in my car, and we talked while going through the process, him giving me more information on Video Now. I highly recommend Video Now for everyone to check out. They may not have the very top of the line TV's that some are looking for, but it gives you a great sample of TVs to look at, and provide lots of information. I don't write many reviews but these guys deserve one. I was looking for a Yamaha Yas-203, I ordered them from both Amazon and Crutchfield. Both called me back to let me know that the order could not be fulfilled due to popularity and it would take a week to a month to get it shipped to me. I sadly cancelled. I looked onto the Yamaha site to search for local retailers and found Video only as a suggested retailer. I immediately called them to see if they had it in stock. The manager told me that they just got a shipment and some order would be fulfilled but he would call me in 10 minutes to let me know if he can hold one for me. Behold less then 10 minutes later I got a call and they said they would hold one for me. I came into the store after work and they had the soundbar on a dolly ready to go. Best part was the soundbat retails for $400 MSRP and on every site. I got the soundbar for $300!!!!!!!!!! That was my experience with them but let me give you a quick review of the actual store. To be honest this place was hidden and very simple on the inside with a whole bunch of TVs on display. Here are a couple things i notice: - All TV's were playing demos the same demo with the same quality output. This is extremely hard to see in other stores as they usually use a low-end HDMI splitter box and it doesn't allow the Tv's to show the full their full potential. - They have a lot of TV's with a lot of different price ranges. What's so great about that? They have the top tier model Tv's for about every price range. So no matter what your price is these guys can help you. Don't be turned away from the low amount of reviews. I'm telling you if you are in search for a TV this place is a hole in the wall. read more

Craig Martin was very helpful on our trip here on black friday. We were looking to replace a 20 year old sony crt with a new 65 inch. Craig was very helpful in helping us pick a tv, but also making sure that they price matched. We got our tv for around 1399 (Craig kept saying most places were selling it at 1499, but every where I looked it was 1399). This being said, I had no complaints since it was what all the competitors were selling it at. We then walked around the store looking for some tv stands and saw one that we liked. Craig was nice enough to throw in this tv stand FREE OF CHARGE for us. The only issue was that the item was back ordered, and it would take 3 days to arrive. We had no problem with this, and went home satisfied with our brand new tv. After looking up the stand online, I became a little rattled by a couple bad reviews (6% of 1 stars out of 876 reviews on Amazon). I usually get pretty unlucky when purchasing stuff, so I got a little nervous after reading such reviews. I called up Craig the next day asking if I could get the credit applied to the TV, to get a little refund (he told us he could give us this option when we purchased the tv). Craig told me to go in, and he'll fix me up. When we got to the store, we decided to check out another stand that we liked, but we didnt get it cause we would have had to shell out about $200 more to get it. However, when we talked to Craig about it, he was amazing and hooked it up for $100. We literally got a $450 tv set for about $100, talk about a great deal! In addition, Craig helped us recycle our old CRT. I will definitely be back in the future when I need another TV, and recommend others to try out Video Only as well. Side note: 1. They are usually pretty busy, so sometimes they may seem kind of abrupt on the phone, and hang up pretty quick after finishing a conversation. 2. They usually will sell you a tv without having to pay salestax! It was blackfriday so they didn't offer this deal, but typically throughout the year they do. 3. This is our 3rd purchase from Video Only.....and it won't be our last. I would have given them 4 stars based on their completely useless website. For a chain that has stores in 3 states, they need to step it up. However, our salesman Tom pushed it back up to 5 stars. In fact, I would have given them 6 stars based on our experience with Tom alone. We called to see if they had same day delivery. It was during the NFL playoffs and we were anxious to get a 70" TV for the Man Cave. While they didn't have same day delivery, Tom asked us where we lived and said he would personally deliver to us after he got off work. When we got to the store he immediately started working with us. It was obvious that he was trying to match our viewing needs with the right TV and not to sell us a product that they were trying to clear out or that brought him a higher commission. His TV knowledge is extremely high. Overall, the buying experience was exceptional. But, Tom took it to another level. Not only did he promptly deliver the TV after he got off of work, but he helped set it up for us! What would have probably an hour ordeal for this technologically challenged TV enthusiast, it turned out to be a 15 minute piece-of-cake task thanks to Tom.
