I came to this small shop many time and I am finally ready to give my results about this small…read moreshop. It's a wonderful shop, It's a little pricey for the market prices. They usually don't have enough cash in the register to exchange for 100 or more over. When buying off their counters I see a single card, I like, I ask about it and how much it'll be. When I try to talk them down a little. They say that the price is where it's supposed to be at and they cannot go down. When I search it up for that specific card price online and looking at there price. It was overpriced. Please do work on having more cash in the register and please work on the prices because it's overprice.

I preordered a card set months in advance. The week of release, they called and said sorry you're…read morenot on the preorder list anymore and youre actually on the "interest" list. Preorders are only for people who put a deposit first, which I was not told to. Then they said , sorry our stock is low but you can still purchase the set at 200 dollars, first come first serve. They are following online trends to see how much booster boxes get up to, so they can charge just as much. This store sucks. The boss sucks. The workers suck. Bad business and money hungry. This store does not want to help customers. They are just in it for the money. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Somewhere that keeps their word.

I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this store today…read more I saw two Xbox games priced the same -- one with a clean case but no disc inside, and another with a disc but a damaged case. Since there was no sign indicating that discs are kept behind the counter, l reasonably assumed the disc was missing and placed it into the better case. Instead of calmly explaining their policy, the employee immediately responded in an aggressive and disrespectful way, telling me to "put that shit back." Only afterward did he explain that the discs are kept at the counter - something that should have been clearly communicated to customers in the first place. A simple explanation would have avoided the entire situation. Being spoken to like that was unnecessary, unprofessional, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What made this even more upsetting was reading another customer's review describing how staff openly discussed taking advantage of a child who unknowingly brought in a rare Galaxy 3DS XL and traded it for a regular 3DS -- which is far less valuable. Instead of informing the child of what he had, they reportedly took advantage of the situation and even bragged about it afterward.Seeing behavior like that toward a kid is honestly disturbing and unethical. After experiencing the rude treatment myself, it's hard to believe this was an isolated incident. On top of all of this, many of the games and consoles here are significantly overpriced compared to other stores. This is especially concerning for beginners or casual gamers who may not yet know typical market values. Between the aggressive customer service, lack of clear communication, unethical behavior, and high prices, this is not a store I would return to or recommend. (l've attached a screenshot of that review for reference.)

This is a well stocked gaming store that buys, sells, & trades everything anime + gaming related…read moreitems. Today is the 2nd time I have been here & the employees who helped me are very professional, helpful, and courteous. If you were selling anything here they are meticulous however they do pay more than other places. Example: I sold some fighting PS2 games here and was paid about $5 each game where as places like The Cave would have paid $1. This place is a gamer's paradise plus holy Grail for the hard to find game(s) *see picture of a PS2 game in my review. I definitely would recommend all gamers or just anybody shopping or selling to try this place first before going anywhere else especially places like GameStop.

Excellent bookstore, with particularly robust nonfiction section--well organized, easy to navigate,…read moreall the books in appropriately labeled shelves. And again, interesting book available! Pricing is affordable ($5-10). Fiction selection was well-populated, including not only the usual best-sellers, but what seemed like a curated collection of interesting books from the past several decades. I didn't spend much time looking at the classics section (again, always appreciate having classics separated out from fiction), but it was reasonably sized. Overall, recommend, I could have spent much longer browsing! I will certainly keep it in mind for another visit the next time I am in the area.

This is a Sacramento classic. Beers was on S before if I recall correctly. This new location is…read moreseveral years new now, but still "new" to those of us who've been coming to Beers for decades. I remember browsing books here, especially sci-fi and classics from my 20s, good times. The store is much bigger now and has a lot more to offer. Bookstores have transformed themselves to sell a lot of other items these days, I'm old school and used to just books and more books, but it's kind of cool to see records, and some gift items that come in handy for a last minute gift-giving. The amount of Knick knacks here were quite a lot though. Could be a bit dizzying. I saw canvas bags, Tsweatshirts, and souvenirs on sale. Staff is generally helpful if you are looking for something in particular and can't find the book or that category of books. The thing that set Beers apart is that they have a lot of used and/or specialty books you might not find in other store and just won't come across online if you're not into that topic or don't know that author, but here, you might just be browsing and discover a new book genre or a new author in a genre you already read, and that is what makes Beers cool.
