I made my reservation by phone From the Penske website and went to Home Depot Signal Hill. The rate and mileage rate was the lowest I got an AAA Discount. I needed to keep the truck one more day. and I was charged only $39 more. 48 hours 16 feet truck 60 miles full insurance Just $200. The best deal. The truck was well maintained. It had a few scratches but the guy noted them. So far I have rented from Penske 2 times after a bad experience with U-haul. Both Penske experiences were great.

Then to top it off - the company when I rented the truck had a broken printer so I could not see what they were charging me for. I rented over the phone and only wanted the truck - no extras. The clerk tried to sell me the extra bundle I said no but low and behold days later I find it was put on my card for a total of $267.00 - they even tried to charge me $14.00 a gallon for the gas which is like $50-$60 depending on the price that day which was $4.31. Penske won't supply me with the register contact which was for $159.00. Capital One won't show me the transactions time stamp. I know what I bought and this was not it. The clerk with his bs excuse he can't give me a receipt yet Cap One only charged me $159.00 that day and then added the $106.02 a few days later and when I disputed it - they then doctored the original order!!! Now Cap One said that I have to give them the proof but how if they didn't email me at the time of sale or any time after till 8/28 with the phony documents and didn't have a working printer - sounds like a same smells like a scam is a scam. Waiting for their legal to call me - so far they call me regarding an accident - what accident - letting this guy at Rose'ss Truck Rental in Long Beach screw me that was not an accident.

DO NOT COME HERE!…read more Terrible experience. When I arrived, the original truck they gave me was out of gas, so they had to switch me to another one. The employee mentioned that someone had been siphoning gas from their trucks, which was already concerning. Then I got into the second truck and the gas level was still below empty. I alerted the employee, and she told me that all of the trucks were like that. Since I was only driving a short distance, she said I'd be fine. I was not fine. The truck literally STOPPED MOVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. I have never been more disappointed in an establishment. There is absolutely no acceptable reason to send customers out in trucks with no gas and leave them stranded. To make things even weirder, a random employee even gave me his personal card for his own moving truck business. Avoid this place at all costs.

Had to use towels to wipe down the floor and especially the pedals so I'd be safe on the road. 26 ft truck has a very underpowered engine. I work in commercial truck repair and this was the saddest little rig to drive. Customer service upfront was good, but its once I had to call roadside assistance.....I dont recall a rep asking if I wanted it (if they did I wouldnt have turned down the 5 dollar charge) Anyways, so I call Roadside, woman looks up my info and says "ok cool, you are covered and therefore WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THE TOW. Get picked up, they're directed to drop the truck off at a place who does ZERO REPAIRS to anything. And that morning I realized there actually was nothing wrong with the engine so I called a buddy back at my work and he was 100% confident I was right and we went on our way. Cut to the conclusion, I return the vehicle and Branch Manager Alex tells me that my tow bill will be sent out at a later date where my card will be charged. I explained what his companies employee told me (keep in mind I (NEVER) authorized or agreed to pay for a tow....that my tow was covered..so he ignores that fact and says let's wait n see. So yup, here's the $655 charge (typical cost for heavy duty local tows) and I call Alex who recalled our convo and says "theres nothing I can do about it....you'll have to just dispute the charge with your creditor"....so basically just a useless manager with no actual authority? Or he lied and just doesnt give a damn. So let's hope Discover gets their hands on the phone recording where an Enterprise Rep tells me its FREE and gets this bs charge off my statement. They had a variety of cars which was great because the listing on Yelp is a little misleading by saying (truck rental). I got a Chevy Malibu for the weekend and it worked fantastic.
