My recent encounter was no different - I left happy, relaxed, and excited to come back! My partner and I booked an aromatherapy couples massage and was supported by Joanie and Catalina. I've had Joanie in the past and was so glad to have her once more. Joanie is so in tune with her clients and so considerate of their needs. I truly felt heard and supported with my needs. I will preface this review by saying that this is massage review. I have been going to Catalina for the past 4 months. She is a complete rockstar and the best massage therapist that I have ever been to. She is patient and listens well and always focuses on the problem areas. She's extremely professional and avoids small talk or unnecessary banter to really give you the zen that's required for a massage. I registered online and made an appointment for a massage and Jessica was my massage therapist. She was very professional, she had very strong hands and listened to my needs and worked out my back and shoulders. I would definitely recommend her for your next massage. So, I'm really on the fence with this rating.....To start, the good: it's a really pleasant location and has a wonderful spa-like feel. Liz was the esthetician that I saw for an acne facial and she was very nice and seemed extremely knowledgeable. However, the extraction completely ruined my face! When I came in, she commented on how my skin was already clear and asked why I wanted an acne facial. I explained that while my skin was clear at that time, it's really prone to breakouts and I wanted it for prevention, which she agreed to. The pictures that I'm posting with this review were taken 3 days after the facial and it's clear that my skin was made so much worse, rather than better (remember, no marks going in!). It's now been over 6 weeks and I still have some brown spots from her extractions. Anyway, I obviously wouldn't recommend getting an extraction done there, or really anything too sensitive, but I hesitated to give this place a really poor rating because it was a nice experience (other than the scaring). I would just be careful what you trust them with. I've wavered back and forth between 2 and 3 stars and landed on two, just to make sure that people are careful before going there so they don't end up worse off (as I did). read more

The upstairs treatment rooms are lovely, clean, and warm. The background music is calming ocean waves -- excellent selection of music!!! The scent of the spa is calming and therapeutic. Best online booking system and very modern service to offer clients. Packages are well priced and offers a variety of treatments. Shout out to Catalina! She gave me one of the top five massages I've had in my life!. Tip to toe she didn't miss a spot!

After two great experiences here I've decided it will definitely be my go-to place for shellac manicures. Veronika did a great job both times and was particularly knowledgeable about different types of long wear polish and the benefits and downsides. To share a sliver of the story the brand CND created the idea of a polish that lasts two weeks and they are the definitely the best for long wear nails without having acrylics. Veronika did a great job putting the polish on evenly after shaping my nails and nice cuticle care. The best part was that it came off effortlessly two weeks later!!! She soaked in acetone for about 5 minutes and when she took the foil off it was flaking and already detached my nail. Unlike any other "gel" or long wear manicure I've had (probably about 10-15) I would say my nails looked the healthiest after this polish came off. This was definitely my number one benefit because I love my manicures but also want Heathy and strong nails to grow to medium length. As other reviewers have mentioned it's a delightful environment too! Served me tea upon arrival both times and it's relaxing and a nice "spa" experience even just for a manicure. As far as cost I find this particular service very reasonable. Other places charge at least $30 for inferior work so I am pleased to only spend an additional $5 plus tax and tip for the additional benefits of the relaxation and the healthy nails afterwards. I cannot speak for any other services yet but would consider trying them because of the nice people. In my pictures the very light pink color was the first one I had done and that is a pic from after 16 days of wear. The second is the new one just one day after. I hope CND continues to come out with more colors and I look forward to my next visit here! read more

He talked almost the whole time (about himself), made creepy comments about me, the massage HURT and when I said it hurt he laughed and said "wow you can't take pain huh", and overall made me feel the most uncomfortable I have ever felt in a massage. No one should ever feel this level of violated. I literally cried on my car ride home. The spa itself is lovely, it's very simple and staff is nice. I first had an arm wax which was OK and I can't really complain. My leg wax was second and left strips of hair on my legs that I can obviously see, I have no idea how she did not! My Brazilian wax was last and TERRIBLE I have had over 20 Brazilian waxes in my life and this was the worst. She was laying the wax on in large strips and ripping them away. Because of this not all the hair was coming off and so she would wax one place more than 4 or 5 times which was very painful. She eventually ripped the skin in 3 places and I was so terribly bruised. I told her to stop when I realized that she was ripping my skin and not stopping the wax and I left bruised and bleeding in 3 places. Please don't go here. There are so many other BETTER places that will care for you. This was so awful! read more

I went for a bikini wax and as many of you know, it should take over 5 minutes. When I say my wax was done in 3 full size strips of wax and paper, I am dead serious and it was horrible! The girl who did the wax was so insensitive and didn't even leave the room for me to undress, she had me drop draw as she stood there. The wax was not the proper wax for bikini wax either. You shouldn't have to use paper strips to pull off the wax for your bikini area. It should be self pulling. The pain and redness afterwards was the worst I've had to date. I don't know how their other services are, but I don't plan on going back after my horrid wax experience. read more

I've gone religiously for a massage every couple of months the past year and I always choose Madelyn. She is amazing! HORRIBLE experience getting a simple regular manicure. A good portion of my skin was ripped off causing bleeding and pain which did not cease for a day and a half. I took pictures of my bloody nail and returned to simply ask for a refund. The girl at the counter was extremely rude when attempting to process my refund, and I STILL have not been refunded!!! I was honestly speechless and will not return. STAY away if you live in the West Hartford area and are looking for a reliable spa. This is not the one. A word of warning. read more

Absolutely love this place! It's a great place to come and relax. I really like the waxing expert that they have here, Artemis. She does a great job in cleaning and explaining the process of what she doing. I get my Brazilian done here. I felt super comfortable, although it was painful she was super quick and does a great job. The service is great, and the staff is so polite. They always offer you water, tea or coffee which I love. This spa isn't only great with their services but it's also beautiful inside. They also have a hairstylist incase you want to get your hair done. I was able to get in for a last minute massage after having a migraine for a few days. I had gone to this place for waxing before, so I figured I'd try it for massage. The spa is warm, clean and inviting. Mario was my therapist. He was professional and kind. I told him about my migraine and he was able to identify trigger points in my back and neck to apply pressure to. I enjoy a very firm massage and I had a male massage therapist who used the perfect amount of pressure for my Swedish massage. The overall decor is adorable and very clean!The waxing was quick with minimal pain and only cost $29, which is far cheaper than other spas in the area. My only complaint is that there seems to be a lack of staff working there. I had a 5 pm appointment and was not taken in until 5:10 pm, which wasn't a big deal to me at the time but I noticed that the same employee had just finished doing someone's nails and when I left she quickly grabbed the next client. Came in for a much needed mani/pedi. The place is super cute and very clean. I ended up getting out of work late and was only able to have a pedicure, but they were so nice about getting me in the next day for my manicure and massage. The girls are all very sweet and make sure your taken care of. My mani pedi came out great! Polish was neat and the massage was amazing!
