Right off of that as soon as I walked in, there were two other people waiting, and the store was completely silent no music. Reception was probably the worst part of this experience. The girl that handled me seemed somewhat preoccupied and on the phone insisted that I arrive as soon as possible, but I waited another 20 minutes not such a big deal, but it felt really weird standing around with nowhere to sit, and pretend to shop for some of their products to pass the time. My experience was the Brazilian wax was great. My wax technician was very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. I didn't really pay much attention to it at the time, but when I arrived home, I noticed that there were a few missed spots on my inner thigh and other lady parts . Checking out I was offered to purchase a bunch of different options for wax passes for one or three of the services that I just gotten and I felt bad that the receptionist did all of the work out to offer several different kinds of payment plans declined as I always do at EWC - like most people I don't go in for a $60 wax and just casually drop 900 bucks on a year worth of waxes that's some thing that I deliberately purchase and don't need to be asked every single time I get a wax. I wasn't even annoyed and even thanked her for doing the work, but she simply shook her head and checked out. Gotta say that went right up my behind and solidified my never returning to this location and prolly EWC altogether- it was giving me Barnes & Noble vibes where if you don't purchase their unneeded membership, then guilt you into thinking they're going to get fired basically. the quality of the wax they use has kept me coming back here since prior to Covid but I just don't know if it's worth the uncomfortable decline of wax passes every single time.

The young lady who waxed my face. She burned my skin in the corner of my left eye. The upper lip was swollen with blister. And around the sides of my mouth. I began to notice my face. A week after my visit. My lip and left eyelid began to flake up. I went to the urgent care. Where I was seen by the doctor. I was there for a sinus infection. But I showed him my burns. He told me the amoxicillin would heal my burns and to continue using Aquaphor. I contacted The Europen Wax Center. I requested to speak with a manager. The manager called me back. I explained to her the injuries I had sustained during my wax appointment on 12/ 22/2024. The manager was very apologetic. I request a full refund of my full-face package. I informed the manager that I didn't feel comfortable with the ladies in her establishment. I need to have a seasoned veteran esthetician doing my face. The manager informed me that the district manager would like a medical note. I supplied a medical note from the urgent care physician. The European Wax Center manager Daj. Informed me that they can not refund my card. Because the word burn was not indicated in my medical notes. Before this incident I had a excellent esthetician. Her name was Sam. She was awesome. The previous management was very nice. Management change an there customer service went to. I decided to contact the European Wax Center in Glastonbury. I explaoned my situation. They scheduled me Elen. Elen has over 15 years of experience as an esthetician. She made me feel very comfortable. She was very knowledgeble. I would refer anyone to Elen. I'm an experienced massage client and was so glad to find Touch of Bliss after my old massage therapist retired a few years ago.
