The experience begins with being welcomed by their delightful receptionist who offered me water and had me fill out their very detailed intake form that asks everything from specific areas of focus, lotion or oil preference, amount of pressure and all the things your MT needs to tailor your massage. Elle came out to get me and brought me in to a very tranquil treatment room. There is a whiteboard on the wall and Elle used it to note where I wanted her to focus, any thing that was important to me for my massage and then she stepped out so that I could undress. As she started the massage, the pressure was a little lighter than I wanted so I told her and she immediately adjusted. She really worked on my problem areas and gave a great full body massage!! I'm a little sore today, but in the best possible way!! I immediately scheduled my next appointment with Elle as soon as I got in the car; a 90 minute this time,. Stranded at the Spa is new, bright and clean. Maggie greeted me with a smile and immediately I felt comfortable. The facial room is very relaxing with "spa" music playing in the background. Maggie uses high quality products that left my face feeling soft, looking radiant and polished. She takes her time and explains what she is doing every step of the way. I'm a regular of Margaret to get my eyebrows done because she is amazing! She always does a great job and makes sure I'm comfortable. Today I also had my haircut with Annie and I cannot rave enough about this place. Annie made be feel very safe as soon as I walked in with the new Covid-19 practices. She was so sweet and listened to what I wanted. Annie offered suggestions the entire time to deal with my thin flat hair but it never felt like salesman style like I have experienced at other salons where they just wanted me to get more services. I bought a Groupon for a facial, mandelic peel and microdermabrasion of the hands. It was heavenly! Margaret took her time and explained everything as she was doing it. She also gave me the option to relax and not have her talk, but I wanted to learn. It was a nice, relaxing room and heated bed. She did the peel, a couple extractions, and layered all kinds of things on my face. The hand treatment was wonderful as well. After the microdermabrasion, she put my hands in plastic wrap under the heated sheets. Margaret, the woman who performed my facial gave me the option to just relax, or she asked if I'd like it if she explained everything she was doing. I opted for explanations. She was patient and gave me specialized tips based on my skin. And she gave me easy to follow tips for home. We received a confirmation we were booked.The day before the appointment, we received a confirmation notice to confirm our appointment and when we clicked to confirm, we noticed they did not adhere to our request. We received a call from Sarah stating WE chose the masseuses and they do not look at the notes until the day before our appointment and if we cancel we will lose the amount we paid of $340. I told her there was no option to choose any masseuses when we booked, that is why we entered the comment. I then went online to book an appointment to check if what she said is something that changed since we booked our appointment . The system did not have an option to choose a masseuse. While online I noticed, It also states if the appointment is canceled late we lose 45% of the cost not 100% as she stated. On a good note, the masseuses we had were very good. I've never left this salon in a bad mood or unhappy with their work. Not only do the other stylist come over to see what you're getting done, they give you so many compliments to boost your confidence. My stylist is currently Amanda Mason who I can go on and on about how amazing she is. I got my hair done by Lana Ronaldo yesterday and now I can say the same things about her. All the ladies in their are so very friendly and sweet. From my first visit to my most recent visit, I have felt so welcomed by everyone. The girls dynamic is something so rare to find in a hair salon. I always recommend this place, they are so honest in their work and communicate so well as to what's going on in your hair. I also love the plants everywhere. It's makes it feel so bright and fresh when you're getting your hair done!
