The place itself is located in an outdated shopping plaza and when we pulled up outside, I wasn't sure what to expect. Inside is actually warm, cozy and inviting in stark contrast to the way it looks from the outside. I had the European Facial. My esthetician was very nice, professional and darn good at making sure you have a relaxing time. As there were 3 of us and we could only go one at a time and each appointment lasts a little over an hour, they offered for us to spend time in their sauna while waiting. The facial was really great- she made sure to focus on all of my problem areas. Whenever she would apply a treatment to my face, instead of leaving the room and coming back like I've experienced at most other salons, she spent her time massaging my arms/hands/legs/feet/shoulders/scalp. Overall, a great facial(I left glowing!!)and the prices are very reasonable! Most importantly, I have very sensitive skin and none of the products irritated my skin. Can't wait to come for another facial next time I'm visiting my family in CT!

They used to be in Meriden, CT, but have since moved to Berlin, CT. I bought a Groupon for a European Facial which expired in May, but they were happy to honor it because they had been busy. I got there early, but had to wait because the masseuse had went over her time. My esthetician Lori was apologetic and very nice. She was great from the time I met her to the end of my time there. The receptionist was also very friendly. I liked that they were not pushy about selling products. They gave suggestions, but in no way pushed them on me. My facial felt great! Lori was friendly throughout and addressed all of my concerns. She also asked if I had any questions throughout the process. I liked it so much that I booked another session for a different facial in a few months. They are very busy, but they treated me really well!

It was important for me to find a place close to home but also a place that was reputable with good reviews. Thanks to Yelp I stumbled upon Natural Balance therapeutic massage in Newington, CT. I quickly made an appointment after reading such awesome reviews, and the ease of appointment spiked my interest even greater. Upon arrival, my husband and I were greeted by our massage therapists who were very friendly and greeted us by name. We arrived a little early and filled out a small questionarre about any allergies, ailments, injuries, etc. The atmosphere was very welcoming, calming, comfortable and felt like walking into a home. It was also very clean and professional. Then we were off upstairs for our massages. The massage room was beautiful decorated with soft, dim lighting, 2 seperate heated beds with soft blankets, and calming spa music. The room was comfortably warm and we were left alone to change and get into the beds. Shortly thereafter, the massages started. 90 minutes of pure relaxation and bliss. I was very pleased with the communication the therapists provided to ensure full comfort, the professionalism of the entire experience, and the perfect combination of deep massage work and soft massage work. It was amazing how my massage therapist knew which parts needed extra work, and other parts of my muscles to go easier on. Needless to say, my hubby loved his massage as well and we both agreed to come back very soon. If you are looking for an incredible massage by knowledgeable, friendly and professional massage therapists, go to Natural Balance. You will not be disappointed. Thank you both so much!

I had a 60 minute Swedish Massage with Elle at Body of Needs Spa yesterday and have finally found my new MT and Spa home!! The experience begins with being welcomed by their delightful receptionist who offered me water and had me fill out their very detailed intake form that asks everything from specific areas of focus, lotion or oil preference, amount of pressure and all the things your MT needs to tailor your massage. Elle came out to get me and brought me in to a very tranquil treatment room. There is a whiteboard on the wall and Elle used it to note where I wanted her to focus, any thing that was important to me for my massage and then she stepped out so that I could undress. As she started the massage, the pressure was a little lighter than I wanted so I told her and she immediately adjusted. She really worked on my problem areas and gave a great full body massage!!
