I have to qualify this review by stating that I am not a B&B person. But I thought I'd give it…read moreanother try.... So here is my slightly biased review: PROS: Truly nice couple who are fun to chat with. Old (really old) funky, farm house with a museum of antiques inside. Pretty, rural countryside. At night, VERY quiet and dark outside, if that's your thing. Close to lots of fresh veggie farm stands. Close to Lake Ontario. Ask about pet policy. CONS: Musty house - as all old homes are. A bit dark inside. Very steep narrow stairs to room. Linens are not white (can you "sanitize" multi-colored linens?) Window air conditioners. So, if you like the idea of a more homey, personal approach to lodging and love antiques, this is the place for you.

They have done a beautiful job of preserving the look and feel of a historical home in the middle of rolling hills, cornfields and country roads. We have passed many a peaceful hour on their spacious and comfortable front porch listening to the crickets and birds, watching the magnificent show of stars each night, reading and often chatting with these two fascinating owners. The beds and linens are very comfortable and all the amenities are available. Christine is a terrific cook and we enjoyed lovely breakfasts of omelets, blueberry pancakes, lemon scones, luscious fruits, etc. We came to the area to bike on the Erie Canal and felt like we were coming "home" each afternoon to a warm and welcoming place. We can also give a shout out to the incredible pizza served up at The Rooster in downtown Brockport near the Canal. I would recommend The White Farm with no hesitations.

As a hotel, it's 5 stars as far as I can tell. Very comfortable, modern and renovated, well run,…read moreetc. But I use Yelp exclusively to review food, so I guess I'm reviewing the included breakfast? The innkeepeers are super friendly, and the breakfast is prepared fresh. The fruit plate isn't the best, but it's out-of-season fruits, so you do what you can. The hot dishes were very tasty--crepes one day, oven pancakes the next--but not _so_ exceptional that I'd go out of my way just for the breakfast.

Dartmouth House is perfect!!…read more Stayed here and everything was fantastic. Highly recommend! Location: It's in a beautiful neighborhood, on a picturesque block, within walking distance to Park Avenue, which has several great restaurants and shops. Comfort: The beds are insanely comfortable (reminds me of the W Hotel beds) and the rooms are very spacious with everything you might need (Netflix, mini-fridge; closet; complimentary lux bath gel, shampoo, conditioner; iron; hairdryer, etc.). The entire place is charmingly historic but also thoroughly updated / remodeled, so everything is in perfect working order and clean/stylish. Service: Gary, the innkeeper/manager, is amazing. He treated us so well and makes the most delicious homemade muffins and eggs for breakfast! He's friendly, caring, and a great resource throughout the stay, who is accessible but not intrusive. Getting around: Like I said, great location and also very easy for Uber/Lyft to find. We were going to rent a car but honestly didn't really need one. If you do, though, there's parking on site in the back and also plenty of parking on the street. Overall, just a terrific place!!!

This place was okay. I had higher expectations from visiting another review site. The most…read moreimportant thing was that the bed was comfortable. I've stayed in other B&Bs where the bed was uncomfortable. Nothing ruins a vacation faster than an uncomfortable bed. The B&B is located in an old 7 bedroom Victorian house. I guess that is supposed to add "charm". I was a little concerned as we approached. The house and porch were were covered in peeling paint. I guess that when the house was last painted it was not properly prepped, as it does not seem that it should be peeling that much. I was concerned I hard booked a complete dump. The first impression was definitely NOT impressive. Once inside, things were MUCH nicer. The house was a little stuffy, but we are in that transitional winter/spring period. It's May, but spring has come very late this year. The first nigh, I could not sleep, even with the open window, because I was too hot; the last night, the heat kicked in. I did not see any window air conditioners and the house does not appear to have central air. The weather is in transition so, perhaps there will be air conditioning later in the season. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: * Comfortable bed * Clean * Breakfast was pretty good. The innkeeper cooked for us each day. She served a lot of turkey sausage, which was not very good. Eggs and fruit and yogurt were fine though. * Cute, quaint town with easy access to a trail along Lake Erie. * Fair nightly rate * Friendly innkeeper. Cons: * Lots of clutter. I guess some people find it charming to have old yellowed period clothing and photos in the room. I do not. There were also lots of chairs to trip over in the common space. There were also way too many pillows, both on the bed and the chairs in the room. * Ticking clock next to the bed. This made it impossible to sleep. I eventually had to hide the clock to sleep. Who puts a ticking clock in a bedroom? * The nightlight in the bathroom was far too bright and was disruptive to sleep. It eventually had to be moved. I think we'd come back, but we'd need to be very specific in our breakfast requests or just plan to eat elsewhere. I'd also have to bring a nightlight.

I agree with most of lynn review but my breakfast was fantastic I had no offending night light. I…read moreloved talking with the fascinating innkeepers.

We can see why this is so popular in the winter. It's just simply perfect. I could picture being snowed in like in the movies and loving it. This is located on a nice road very easy to get to. Not far from the bustling downtown of Geneva. But far enough to be nestled in the country. We even got pizza delivery here which was an awesome surprise that the local pizzeria offers. We enjoyed the clean and wonderful hot tub. The interior had everything we could have needed and more. Thank you for the eggs and the coffee creamer! The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. For being a historic home everything had such nice charm and style. The bathroom was fully updated and the downstairs bedroom had the perfect vibe I'd love in my own home. Beautiful flowers galore. The host Diane was friendly via the app and self check in was a breeze. We were left alone and felt totally safe and comfortable. I'd love to come back with my husband for a get away. This is a great place, highly recommend. Note though... when trying to locate it. Our gps took us up the hill along the backside of the owners house.. this was a dirt pathway - not the right way. The sign was deceiving. The cottage is directly next to the house, right off the paved road. Bonus points to the host for having the awesome array of dvds and games. This was so fun for us girls.

The owners are kind and nice. You may get a fun visit from a black cat named Salem (loves milk and pets). The fireplace was my favorite. I sat and drank beer in front if it and did some coding and was totally lovely. It has a little warming nook and a rack to hang a dutch oven over the fire if you really want to go old school and cook on it. Just as lively was multiple champagne drinking sessions in the hot-tub. Lots of dry wood to burn. Recommend that you bring a bit of your own firewood just to keep the supply up as well as a bit of spring water if you're gonna cook / drink a lot and stay in.
