They take their time with you, helping you to decide and select the right frames. Dr. Jani is professional, patient and caring. I needed time for my eyes to focus during my eye exam and she didn't rush me. However, the treatment works and I am thrilled with the immediate results! My eye glass prescription is perfect and I can see much better now and I love my new frames. Booked an appointment for my teenage son to have eye exam at Bailey Nelson Queen East in Toronto…read more After the exam yesterday the doctor did not want to speak with me. I actually tried to speak with her. I thought that was odd. The manager of the store relayed the message that my son could benefit from Blue Light glasses. We then went through the process of selecting those. Fast forward to this afternoon. The store manager calls, leaves a voicemail, telling me that they have made a referral and that my 15 year old knows about it. He didn't. I call back and ask what's up. I'm told that the doctor, in an abundance of caution, is concerned enough to refer my son to another level of clinic to assess the issue that he brought to their attention. The manager called because she felt the doctor behaved oddly by not speaking to me. While I'm happy for the referral, I am a bit disappointed that, between the doctor and the store manager, I was expected to hear of the doctor's concern via a teenage boy. Anyway, all of this is to say you may want to consider a different shop. In my experience optometrists elsewhere do actually speak with parents of kids about what is necessary to keep the kids healthy. This place sort of does that, though you may have to wait 24 hours and hope that the manager comes to feel a bit off about the doctor to the point of calling to let you know herself

Had a great experience at Bailey Nelson during my eye exam. They offer direct billing for insurance…read morecompanies as well which is super helpful for my claims. My optometrist was friendly and very informative of what was causing my eye discomfort. She took the time to explain and showed videos to make sure I understood and offered advice on how to take care of my eyes at home. The inside of the store was clean and the other staff members were attentive and nice. I personally didn't have time to browse the shop for glasses but they do provide 30 minutes after your exam to look and try frames. Everything is operating by appointment only but it's easy to book it on their website. I plan to return in the future to try on glasses and recommend anyone to go visit too!

This review is mainly for the eye exam since I didn't purchase my prescription glasses with them…read more I booked an online appointment for a full vision exam with Dr. Emma Karlin. Arrived 10 mins earlier than my appointment to fill up a form and for the staff/receptionist perform a preliminary test on my eyes. Dr. Karlin performed a comprehensive eye exam including checking the eyes to detect for diseases like cataracts, glaucoma and recommending preventive care. I had to buy my prescription glasses from another optical shop but had an issue since I opted for a progressive lenses and the reading prescription is somewhat incorrect. So I went back to this store for a vision reassessment and Dr. Karlin accommodated me on the spot for another eye exam without any additional charge. Fast/easy booking, friendly and experienced staff - I will surely come back here for my next eye exam.

And everytime it fell out it kept on getting scratched more and more. I brought it back to where I originally bought it & they popped the lense back in. The first two times he did not charge me. Then he said the next time there will be a $10 charge for putting the lense back in. Why? They were new glasses I bought from them! Many years later I am realizing I should of demanded a refund. Moreover I should have been offered a new pair of glasses from the store from the start as they were clearly faulty. Naive me. Chalk that up to growing pains. But in the end I feel mega swindled. Since the lens kept falling out I should of realized that they were faulty & other issues would ensue. Many years I had to be frustrated with one of the lenses falling out. Anyways long story short - My glasses now are total trash. First pair of glasses with a sad ending. Now I have realized too late that all the glasses I bought previously from other stores, I never had a problem with my lenses falling out. I mean I still have all my old glasses from the past 30 years & they are still wearable; perhaps not in vogue. Please learn from my lesson people. Otherwise you're out hundreds of dollars. And you will just end up having to buy another pair - shelling out more hundreds just around the corner... Take it seriously... Also always have a back up pair. Now because I waited too long I am now looking for 2 pairs of glasses.
