I've always been treated very well. Have been coming almost 10 years. Nail techs all very nice. Kelly is wonderful.

I had a beautiful manicure with chrome. On day 9 noticed the chrome peeling of one nail. They repaired the nail, and within 1-1/2 days, 3 more nails needed the chrome redone. The owner said they would redo the chrome, but will never provide a chrome finish for me again. Basically, he was saying don't come back. I have had chrome applied often, I am aware of normal wear. The original nail service was a fail! Don't worry. I won't. read more

Upset!!! Had an appointment at 12:45 and sat and waited until 1:25. So frustrating what is the purpose of an appointment if I have to sit and wait!!! I am not usually one to complain and ask the front desk girl but I totally did this time!! Irritating!!Then when I finally sat for the pedi I had to wait again!! Then she came to start and was on the phone!!! Not happy! read more

I have been coming here for a while now as it's just so convenient, however I think I have to throw in the towel. The customer service is the absolute worst and although I like how they do my nails I think they forget that they are in the service industry. I am sooo tired of waiting when I have an appt. I thought that perhaps if I made the first appt of the day it would eliminate the wait...I was wrong. I waited 20 mins to find out that my tech was late due to a long line at Starbucks. I was furious. To add insult to injury they were on their phone during my entire appt. read more

i have been coming to Victoria Nails since they first opened. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I always make an appointment now, but, did walk in for several years. Christina is my go to tech. Word of advice. Don't pay for your service until AFTER they finish. They did a terrible job

Customer service? I spent $130 on services last Friday (with an additional $35 tip) only to have the acrylic snap off 1/2 a nail 3 days later. Upon returning from my business trip to Seattle, WA I stopped in for a repair. The receptionist said it would be a 5-10 min wait; however, after 40+ min wait I left. I understand business, and if I need to pay $15 for the repair any nail tech could've fixed it within that wait time. read more

I'm super self conscious about my feet because of my weird webbed toe but I decided to treat myself to a pedicure yesterday and I was NOT disappointed! Christina was fantastic- very sweet, helped me pick out the perfect summer color because I always end up putting terrible colors on my toes, and she made my feet and legs look/feel fantastic. I honestly get giddy every time I look down and see my pretty little toes! I will definitely be coming back in a few weeks when my family comes out to visit! read more

Rude owner and inexperienced nail techs. When I asked not to use nail drill on my nails? I was rudely told it was mandatory by the owner and when I gave the ok for them to use it and said I don't return. The owner refused to do my nails stating he didn't think they met my expectations. The frustration was all in his mannerism. This shop caters to and treat people nice and fair depending upon the amount they're paying and their skin color. I went a few blocks down and received excellent customer service and my nails came out exactly how I wanted them! I will never visit or recommend Victoria Nails in South Elgin to anyone. read more

Victoria Nails - Finished nails from another nail shop after I was refused service at Victoria Nails of South Elgin. - Nail Salons Near Me - South Elgin, Illinois

At the end of day it was a bad customer experience to allow a technician that cannot do the job; in addition, you hung up on me because I requested to get my arm corrected when your employee did not have the idea how to wax. I have NEVER had any problems in the years I went to your nail shop. You are making an excuse as thought I wanted a free service. I wanted my experienced to be overturned, and you simply hung up on a client. You had two employees showing her during my visit how to, and the technician did not listen. That's all deemed bad customer experience and unprofessional. What's wrong is wrong! Fix your customer experience, you'll lose more clients to your competition. You lost a loyal customer! read more

Disappointed that my chrome nail service started chipping less than two hours after I left today, but the real disappointment came when I called to speak to the manger about the service. He refused to offer a credit for the entire cost of the service ($55) and instead said he could only issue a credit for the up-charge on the chrome application ($15). This was because of a "policy" not to issue credits (as I pointed out, there is no such policy on their website); I still have "a gel manicure" underneath the chrome (really?); and they "do not know what I did after leaving the nail salon" (sir, I got in my car and drove home). I was visiting my parents in the suburbs and decided to stop in here before heading home. What a waste of time and money. read more

I just went here for the first time. The inside is very nice and much cleaner than other places I've seen. I liked my nail tech, and my nails look nice but there was old polish from my last dip still under my nails. While she was using the drill, the cuticles on three of my fingers were cut. I know this wasn't intentional and she was probably trying to work quickly and efficiently, but it still hurts a day later. I will most likely return to give another tech a try as I overall, enjoyed the experience. Just wish my fingers didn't hurt. Otherwise I would give five stars. read more

I have been here a few times and always have a good experience. I love how my nails turn out everytime. I normally get really long lasting regular mani's and pedi's (not no chip) which normally last about 3 weeks. They are also really good at cleaning up the area around nails. Pedi's always feel so good and they always take the time to give a good message on the feet/legs. I highly recommend the organic pedicure, it is not the most expensive but I personally like the sugar scrub and mask versus the paraffin wax. Plus, the sugar scrub is more hydrating then the sea salt scrub and they always smell so yummy! Most of the staff are pretty friendly , but of course there are always favorites. I have to say they have really made it fancier with the chandeliers and I love the openness and set up of this place. It seems high end, but not too ritzy to be relaxed. They had an adorable set up of treats and mimosas for mothers day and that just made me feel really great since I brought my mother in law with as her mother's day treat. This is my go to nail place, but far from home now. It's definitely hard to find a good spot like this, but I'm on the lookout! read more

I would just like to say that I typically do not write reviews. I understand that there's some wiggle room in what to expect at a new salon and I am always kind and agreeable even if I'm slightly disappointed. No one is perfect so I almost never say anything when getting my nails done unless I have a rapport with a person. And the only reason I'm truly writing this has nothing to do with how I was treated but more with the lack of cleanliness of my experience. My first negative experience was having an appointment that didn't start until 42 minutes after my start scheduled start time. But my biggest complaint is the lack of cleanliness. While the gentleman that did my nails was very kind and polite, I was taken aback by the lack of attention to cleanliness that tainted my experience. First, the man did not wear gloves nor clean the station between his previous client and myself. I know because I watched her get up and I was asked to sit down. Second, when I sat down there were old used swabs at the station and a previous client's old and dirty fake fingernail. It was just really off-putting to see someone's long used fake nail caked with dirt sitting right next to the tools someone was going to use. Third, when he removed my prior set he did not entirely take off the glue and adhesive. This was minimally buffed out and left a sticky and gross residue all over my nails that then he proceed to just apply new glue and a new set on top of. Fourth, when it came time to trim my nails and use tools he pulled out a set from the drawer and I can only assume it was not disinfected nor cleaned between clients. Typically I'm used to nail salons opening new packaging of disinfected tools so this was a little gross for me. Fifth, when he was using a little brush to dust off the dip residue from my nails he used that same brush to dust off the table, old glue and debris and to dust off his own nails and hands. My nails turned out below average and had rough edges underneath and they don't look professionally done at all. I'm not one to typically write reviews and I still tipped the man very well but I felt it was necessary to write just how unclean my experience was. I am scared to get an infection from used tools and build up on my nails so I'm going to a new salon (I'm in town visiting) to I have the set removed. I'm very disappointed. read more

My complaint seems to be a popular one. I used to come to this salon all the time but they will leave you WAITING, even if you have an appointment. The last two times I'd been there I waited 45+ minutes past my appointment time and then they give me to whomever is available, not who I made the appointment with. I'll take my business somewhere they appreciate their customers. read more

Negative stars!!! This place has the WORST customer service...ive tried to go back multiple times and every time gets worse! Arrived for our pedicures and waited 1 hour past our appt time before someone acknowledged that they didn't have our appt in their system. Nobody came to us or acknowledged. We were originally told we would have to wait 10-15 mins, so we patiently waited past our appt time. 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hour goes by and the young girl (Keira) at the front ignored me when I walked up to check again. I couldn't believe it. Finally the owner walked up and told us that they didn't have our appt in their system. Nobody thought to tell us that an hour ago?!?! Sitting there wasting our time. No apology. No nothing. Crap customer service!!! We walked out after waiting for OVER an hour as other customers continued to walk in and walk out. Never again. read more

I've visited this salon twice for a dip manicure. Both times, my nails didn't hold up very well.

This used to be my go to place , I'd get pretty good service in the past ...but it's been a hit or a miss lately . I had Dan previous to this appointment and he did a good job on some bridal party nails that I had done, & before that I had my nails done by a woman who made my nails very uneven and not how I wanted at all .. unfortunately I'm limited on time and can't ask for them to be redone . Yesterday I asked for ombré nails ... with glitter ( the photo below ) ... It Didn't have to be exact but .. I left with the bumpiest , lop sided nails and I was almost charged for an ombré ... this is just painted nails with uneven glitter ... I even tried to pull up the picture and he said he already knew how to do it . If I decide to come back I'll only be asking for Jimmy for now on . read more

What a treat!!!! I was thrilled with every aspect of my experience at Victoria Nails. From the warm greeting, to the opulent decor and exotic pedicure choices to the final checkout, I was beaming with joy. Linda was my tech, and she was so much fun. The management was conscientious and warm and kind. After 1 1/2 hours of being pampered, I am still walking on clouds similar to the ones surrounding their crystal chandeliers. read more

Amazing job !! Have never had a bad experience. They are always very friendly and professional.

Very disappointing first experience - - Cuticle care is apparently not included in dip manicures (but included in regular and no-chip manicures) - Wasn't asked what shape I wanted them filed and they were filed very square - Towards the end I asked if they could be more round, she said no because they'd be too short (they didn't start out that way...) - I pointed out that they seemed messy at the end, and I was told to wash them a couple times and it'd be better - I did and I noticed the corners didn't even have color, they looked messy/incomplete - Went back and spoke with manager - extremely poor customer service. Never apologized, actually put the blame on me, and said he "couldn't just believe the customer, that he needed to consult with the technician" Informed me that if you don't tell the technician exactly what you want up front, they won't ask you anything, they will just make assumptions. Also said they don't refund services, yet the whole business is based on "services"... - Positives: tons of color choices and very approachable, friendly girls at the front desk :) read more

Hey LISA and TINA - CRAP polish job on my toes and my friends! Looks worse then if we did them ourselves. WTF what a waste of money. Hence your $2 tip! You didn't deserve a dime. Victoria nails lost my business today. My opinion based on my experience; stick with what you know! The owner replied that "magic work" wouldn't help my toes! And he got it wrong at that! The customer service in this place is terrible! They have young stuck up girls working the front desk and a mean unfriendly owner. Two times I've gone in and both times I have had the same experience. I Went in as a walk-in, so I didn't expect to get serviced right away. But I was told they would see me soon and it took an hour and 1/2. It's fine if you are a by appointment only salon but do not advertise that you except walk-ins, and then make them wait that long to be seen. The owner could tell that I was upset and instead of apologizing he told me ma'am you just need to be patient. Also I paid additional money for jewels to be put on my nails and they popped off with in a day. I decided to give them another chance because the first time it was a busy day. This was a big mistake. I got a full set with a dip. The girl filed my nails way too short on the sides for the full set and it looks horrible. The nails were filed all different and ways and too far down the sides for a coffin shape which they charged me extra for. I went in to get them removed and fixed or get a refund but the owner was unwilling to help. He refused to admit that it wasn't a good nail job and I'm very disappointed that I paid $55 and have to get them removed somewhere else and re-done. Your pride cost you a customer. I went to another salon who looked at the job and couldn't believe how terrible it was. Instead of them fixing it and taking my money they suggested that I go back to the place I got it from originally and get it fixed or refunded. There's nail salons on every corner and Victoria nails is not the one to go to! read more

As a new resident to the area a few years back I struggled to find a nail salon. A past coworker mentioned Victoria Nails. Was relatively satisfied until a few past experiences, both times from the same person. First bad experience I overlooked. Luckily the next time I came in for my fill I got another stylist, who saw my nails and said... "these are uneven, where did you have them done?" I told her "here, I only come here" she shook her head and said "the acrylic is too think, looks bad which I also didn't like. Well, was there again yesterday and unfortunately got the same bad stylist, way too much acrylic and uneven nail shape, and polish gooped at cuticle. Didn't even check to see if nail length was even hand over hand like other stylists at this salon. Made a call today to get her name. I usually don't try and single certain workers out believing that they all should do a good job. However, if returning I have to make sure it's not this lady to do my nails. As an extra note, when I contacted the salon about this bad experience, zero effort was made to apologize or make good for the dissatisfaction. read more

Don't go unless you have an appointment. They say they take walk ins but never have time for walk ins. I used to go here all the time as a walk in. They did my nails for my wedding and was always great. Today I attempted to go in as a walk in and they NEVER had any availability. Went this morning around 11 AM the high school girl at the front told us it would be 30 minutes-ish but wasn't sure if it would be sooner or longer. We left. Came back around 5 PM was greeted by a different high school girl at the front who stated they were booked from 5:30-7 PM... it was 5 PM, I said I'm just looking to get brows an a quick pedi. She just stood there and stared at me. So said "okay I guess we will go somewhere else", her response was "are you sure?" Well yes, clearly you can't tell time and not interested in attending to walk ins. I get making an appointment is ideal but sometimes you just don't know your schedule. I have recently tried going on different times to this location on different dates and always been turned away that they have no openings or it would be a really long wait. read more
