Mike, the owner set an appointment with me and made sure to reconfirm the night before, and when he showed up, he brought lots of samples, and gave me plenty of options to choose from We ended up signing with him. I was really really pleased with his experience and knowledge. It ended up taking about four or five weeks from the time we placed the order until he came back and installed the custom curtains/ drapery. The final product came up, very nice and very pleased. They say patience is a virtue, and Michael from Victoria Drapery is an example of an extremely patient man who does a great job running his business while providing excellent service and products. We initially wanted to install sliding curtains on our back door since there's a big window on the door and the long blinds we had were clunky and unappealing, not to mention noisy whenever the door opened or closed (plus our cats kept messing with the lower-than-usual cords!) Michael promptly responded to my quote request and worked around our schedule to come out on a Saturday morning to give us an in-person consultation. Now here's where the patience came in: my wife and I probably spent an hour going back and forth and deciding between the different options, before switching altogether to roller shades instead of the sliding curtains! Through it all Michael was patient and didn't rush us and he showed us all the samples and gave us the pros and cons of each option. The roller shades ended up being cheaper than the sliding curtains but I never sensed any resentment from Michael knowing that this job would probably make him a little less money. Again, Michael is a true professional and he really impressed me with his knowledge and composure. Michael came back to our house a couple of weeks later to install the roller shades and they look amazing! It's definitely an improvement over the blinds we had. He was punctual and quickly set up the shades and, as a bonus, got along great with our cats both times he was here! Mike installed multiple sets of shades in our condo, some motorized and some manual. They did an excellent job, the shades transformed the whole look of the living room, we got so much more natural lighting from outside. We heard about Victoria Drapery from friends who had recently used them for their shutter needs. We are beyond thrilled with the outcome. Mike was very professional. He brought all options to the consult, he went over many different styles and ideas. He was very organized and gave us a reasonable price. We have 3 areas in our home where we have corner windows. We thought it would be a little tricky, but Mike was very precise in his measurements. He told us it would take between 6-7 weeks to get them customized and it took just about that time. He and his helper, also very attentive, came to do the install at 8:30 am and they were done by 11:30 am. When completely shut, the shutters make the room very dark, which is excellent! We have the option to open the top and close the bottom to provide natural light with some privacy. We are sooooo happy with the results. It makes our home feel complete.
