I HIGHLY recommend Victor for any of your construction needs. His craftsmanship is beyond amazing, and he is so smart; but most importantly, he is reliable, honest, and efficient. In 2020, he remodeled both of our bathrooms, so when it was time for us to think about remodeling our kitchen, we called him. He came over to check out our kitchen, hear our ideas, and give us an estimate. We thought we were going to need to hire an architect, but after talking with Victor and hearing his ideas, we were relieved to hear that we would not be needing one. He was able to take our ideas and create an image for us. Victor and his crew started on June 17. Our kitchen involved a complete demo with custom cabinets, taking out a big window, and moving our washer and dryer to another area our kitchen. At the same time, he and his crew also repainted our living/dining area, added recessed lighting to our living dining room, took off paneling that was on our wall, and added new drywall. All of this was finished by July 12. Victor and his crew are reliable. If he tells you that they will be here at 8:00 a.m., his crew is parked at 7:45 a.m., but they do not come to the door until the time they tell you. They are NEVER late. There were a few times when we had questions after hours, and his response was always prompt. He is NOT someone you will be waiting days to hear from. Victor is honest. He does not try to upsell or charge you for unnecessary things. There are so many instances where he would give us advice on other ways of doing things to save us money. I genuinely feel like he really wanted us to be happy. I am not an easy person to please. I'm picky, I obsess over things, and I ask a lot of questions. I second guess every decision I make. He always took the time to reassure me. No matter how many questions I asked, he NEVER seemed annoyed with me. He is very kind and so patient. Victor's crew is the best crew I've ever worked with. They are good at what they do, smart, polite, and they clean up at the end of each day. Their attention to detail is amazing. The custom cabinet work is so good. He made each cabinet to fit our kitchen perfectly and maximized all our space. I was so worried about keeping the washer and dryer in the kitchen, because it looked horrible before. When Victor was finished with it, it was perfect. It blends right in with the rest of the kitchen, and you would never even know it's there. Quality was terrible. Stated he guarantee his work, but just made some minor repairs. I didn't know at that time that no padding underneath lamented flooring was required for a better installation. After speaking to three other flooring companies, I selected Victor Rios Flooring first because of their reviews, but after meeting Victor I knew they were very professional. They were able to accommodate our tight timeline. We needed to start the project right after Christmas. They started on December 27th with a crew of five to do the demolition that was completed in a day. Some workers even worked on Saturday, New Years day. The job took almost two weeks to complete because of repairs and some materials had to be ordered Victor Rios was on site at the start of the day most days and at the end of the day everyday to inspect the progress and explain the work to us. After the demolition there were some unforeseen repairs that needed to be done (our floors were a mess underneath the laminate and tile) such as floor leveling and replacing wood in some areas where the wood was rotted. Victor discussed options for how to proceed when the unexpected came up. They went above our expectations and I will definitely be hiring Victor Rios again to do all of our future home renovations. Victor and his team are awesome! They came highly recommended to me by two other friends for their craftsmanship on their kitchen and bathroom remodels, and they did not disappoint! I had a vanity area outside of my master bathroom that wasn't necessary and took up space, and I had Victor's team demolish it and instead build a built-in office / desk space. The work included demolition, plumbing, electrical, painting, building a wood desk, drawers and cabinets, addition of crown molding and installation of overhead recessed lighting as well as hanging a barndoor. I am so happy with how this project turned out. Victor and his team are professional, knowledgeable, skilled and kind. They are very detail-oriented, and customer-satisfaction driven. In fact, there was something I didn't like about the wood cabinet after it had been built, and when I pointed this out to Victor, he went above and beyond to make it right, having his team rebuild the entire cabinet piece. Victor was excellent, he exceeded all three categories. We could not be happier with this whole project, he really is a true gem. I would not hesitate to work with him again. Victor's cost was very reasonable. He wasn't the highest but he wasn't the lowest either, and he was very reasonable for the amount of work and expertise he brought onto the project. Plus, he himself was at the jobsite every single day. Not just the first day and checks in time to time, but every single day, he was with his crew working alongside them. Victor's craftsmanship. This was the best investment ever. Our 100+ year old house came sloped with unevenness on the 1st floor. About 1000sf needed to be leveled (with sloping of about 4+ inches), and Victor was just the guy we needed. We got several quotes from different vendors, some where pushy, some had different techniques. In the end, we felt comfortable with Victor's work ethics and history in his type of flooring, and he was never pushy to get us to commit. From demo to sister joisting (which was the most complicated portion) to laying down the subfloor and then finally the finish flooring (which we used Lauzon's Walnut Hardwood), we could not be more impressed by the quality of work and attention to detail. Lauzon is not cheap wood, and we were worried about hiring a contractor who would screw up the installation. This was not the case with Victor. Lastly, Victor's timeline. He said 2 weeks and he delivered in exactly that. Like I mentioned, he was at our house every single day of the job, early at 8am to start. They worked full days everyday, and were mindful of us living in the house through this project. They always cleaned up after themselves, and brought their own dumpster trailer to load the trash/debris in. He was also very communicative throughout the whole process via text, asking questions without assuming for certain things that came up. If you have a sloped floor or just need new flooring installed, go with Victor and his team. They are excellent and so easy to work with. Victor is a true master in hardwood floors, tiles, molding,etc. We moved into our new home 5 months ago and he demoed 4,000 square foot of Saltillo tiles and we put in hardwood floors throughout and he remodeled two bathrooms. Victor Rios flooring was a godsend for us. We had a pipe burst and flooring had to be replaced throughout the majority of our home. This was NOT a planned home remodel. I used Victor to refinish the wood flooring for 2 rooms in my house. The house is very old and the floor was damaged with pet stains from the previous owner's dog. I knew that it would be a difficult repair but Victor did a fantastic job. He sanded the floors and used a dark stain to hide the pet damage. Victor and his team exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with our new oak floor. The attention to detail is where they shine. They removed heater grates for us, and where they patched the walls they matched the look of the old plaster wall and baseboard seamlessly. They caulked the quarter-round to the baseboards so the floor edges look super neat. They laid the wood around the fireplace to accentuate it. The interior of all our closets look just as good as the rest of the floor. Also, if you have subfloor problems we highly recommend Victor and his team. Our floors were like rolling hills, and Victor removed old subfloor boards and did all that was required, letting us decide how level we needed it and how much we wanted to fix. He used new concrete footings and new support beams where needed. All this for a reasonable price. The team was always on time, always polite, always professional. We just moved into our house in Woodland Hills, CA. We needed hardwood floors for all the bedrooms. I yelped for a recommendation and found Victor Rios. I also searched up and down Ventura Blvd to receive a few quotes. The Ventura Blvd stores gave a lower quote than Victor. Lower quotes are often misleading. When the price is too good to be true, be careful. My gut said go with Victor. Victor has great customer service and follow up. He did a thorough evaluation of our floors and slope of the floor. He recommended a hardwood store that was cheaper than Lumber Liquidators and had higher quality. Day of installation. Victor and crew showed up on time ready to go. I thought I had done a good job removing the carpets and the linoleum underneath the carpet. However, there was residual glue leftover. Victor explained that the dried glue needed to be removed also. I bet other installers would have just installed the wood over the dried glue. His team worked fast and was very respectful. Once the glue was removed, they grinded the floor to bare concrete to prep for installation. Before installation, Victor and I did a moisture reading of the concrete. Why? Victor explained that the hardwood manufacturer would warranty replacement in case of warping or defect in the hardwood floors in the future. He wrote down the date and the moisture reading from his meter on the concrete. Who does this meticulous work? Only Victor Rios. There was some mold on the dry wall that I had removed so I was worried that the moisture was coming from the floors. What a relief that the moisture reading was very low. I'm so happy I didn't go with the cheaper quotes. Get it done right the first time and be happy and have peace of mind with your investment.
