Not sure what or how Ed is being raved about with all these 5 star reviews. Or maybe Ed just picks and chooses what job to perform 100% and what job to perform only or barely 1% on. Bigger jobs that makes him more money get priority while people who spend $5,000 get nothing in return. always delaying the install when the cabinet is torn off. Always coming during 5 or 6 pm. But the worst part is him lying. I wasn't able to see the slab that was going to be used, didn't even get to choose the slab. Scheduling and everything was a mess. Left me without a vanity sink for almost 2 weeks. Told me that on 4/11 he will come out and fix the drywall as well as install the cabinets. And all he said was Monday "afternoon". Did not provide us with the time at all. When Monday came around, I texted him around 1 asking for more of a specific time and no response. Then around 3 o'clock I texted him again and no response. Just to later tell me his drywall guys car broke down and won't be able to come out. He said he will come out on 4/12 around 5 pm. He came install the cabinets with some defects where he said he will fix. He then told me the counter guy will be coming out whenever he is done with the counter. I told him on Wednesday 4/13 that is unacceptable cause I cannot just wait around everyday hoping to know what the schedule was is going to be like as I need to schedule the plumber also. He then tells me the counter top would be ready Saturday at 9:00 am. Here comes Saturday which is today the counter top guy came installed everything had to tell the guy to clean almost every single area cause he left all caulking/sealant all over my counter top and told him about the stains on the quartz also and he said not my problem packed his stuff and left. Later I texted Ed and he said he is on his way to address every issue we had. Told him about the stains on the quartz and he told me that is all natural and the "stone" is like that already. Got me confused caused I thought quarts was man made. He then told me that there is a lifetime warranty on the countertop, which is when I told him that this counter top is stained and I would like to use the warranty. He then goes on telling me that the warranty does not cover that. And goes in to pack his stuff and leaves. After he left he goes in to text me an image of Section 7018.5 Of The Business and Professions Code as he is afraid that I would not pay him. Went to 3 different yards to check out all their quartz slabs and show them all the pictures I have attached and every single one of them told me that he either bought a defective slab on sale or it was stained during fabrication and he does not want to own up to it. So if I had three industry experts telling me that the. Who should I believe. Ed has since returned any of my phone calls or text. Next told him we want to reuse our existing faucets. He said no problem. Later to find out the faucets were just placed in a trash bag and all damaged. I would kindly stay away and find someone else to do this work. Not worth the wasted time or your precious money. read more

UPDATE: Sorry to say that I have to downgrade my review of Cabinet Innovators. Ed and his team are nice guys, but my bathroom remodel turned out to be a disaster that ended up costing me an additional $5000. The plumbing was done incorrectly and had been leaking under my house for a year. I've just sold my home and this was discovered by the inspector. Ed came out and took a look, said there was no leak, but there was definitely a leak inside the wall (I saw the photos). It cost me $5000 to the buyer. Obviously I'm not happy about this. I think if the team had pulled permits, this could have been avoided (the work would have been done correctly). There were lots of other more minor issues with the work - but nonetheless reflective of the quality of the build and all in all, not worth the extra money I had to pay out of pocket. If I could do it over, I would have hired a contractor willing to pull permits. That's a red flag I should have paid attention to. read more

I worked with Ed on my rental property because my flooring and cabinets were damaged from a slab leak and my insurance company denied my claim. Ed was able to salvage my cabinets and put on new doors and hinges, paint it with the color of my choice and it turned out great! For this project, he installed new flooring, remodeled my kitchen by salvaging my cabinets, and painted all of the walls. Ed remodeled my condo kitchen in October/November 2022, and he was wonderful to work with. He gave me a very affordable price and was honest about the costs all along the way. His cabinets are very good quality, and partially solid wood. (Much better than the 1970's cabinets covered in laminate sticker that were previously in my kitchen.) I truly enjoyed working with Ed. He has a very calm vibe and didn't stress me out like most contractors do. Ed collaborated with me on how I wanted my kitchen to be designed. He took the time to listen to my ideas and make sure that everything would fit properly. I enjoyed his friendly and professional demeanor. He also was able to do the job in about 2 weeks, and I loved that he and his crew always cleaned up after themselves! Ed does thorough work and pays attention to the details. It took me weeks of research and talking to multiple contractors for my kitchen project and finally decided to go with Cabinet Innovators because Ed seemed like he knows what he's talking about since he's been doing this for a long time and he gave us a very reasonable quote. The project took longer than expected because of how labor intensive it is. We have our backsplash replaced, repaint all our cabinets and replace hardware to soft closing. All the guys who worked at my home like Rolando and Armando are respectful and professional. They wore their mask the whole time, cover everything and clean up afterwards which is very important for us. Overall, we are pretty happy and satisfied with the result.
