Since writing my original review, I took this doctor's advice and found a new healthcare provider…read more The difference has been remarkable. My new physician sat down with me for at least 30 minutes, listened carefully to my concerns, and made me feel as though my health actually warranted his time and attention. By comparison, my experiences with Dr. Sameer typically involved appointments lasting no more than five minutes. I am genuinely amazed by how much happier and more confident I feel with my new doctor. To anyone struggling with the American healthcare system, my advice is simple: keep looking until you find a provider who is willing to give you the time and attention you deserve. There are physicians who prioritize the quality of their care rather than taking on as many patients as possible in pursuit of greater profit. My interactions with Dr. Sameer also left me with the impression that he was socially awkward, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with. That may not bother every patient, but when someone is responsible for addressing serious health concerns, effective communication and a willingness to listen are extremely important. I am grateful that this experience ultimately pushed me to find a physician who treats me with considerably more care, patience, and respect. Thank you.

The service here has been hit or miss. The first person I talked to when I tried joining this…read morepractice was a bit impatient and unhelpful when I tried asking logistical questions about signing up with my PCP. Then she got my email address wrong when I tried to sign up for the patient portal. When I called back I spoke with Gwen, who was super friendly and helpful. She corrected the error right away. I arrived early for my first appointment and was taken in at a decent time but it took a while to actually see Dr. Virk. When I met him, he seemed very knowledgeable and patient with my questions and concerns. He seemed like he actually read through the thick patient intake packet I completed. He was warm and genial. He didn't seem to be in a huge rush to get me out of the door. I was pleased with my experience, and felt that the wait was worth it. When I got my lab work done, I messaged Dr. Virk but never received a response from him, only from his staff stating they had sent the message to him. When I tried to call, I left a callback number after a long wait and was never called back, though the automated message stated I was next in line. I left another message on the patient portal explaining this and my availability in trying to schedule an appointment. I did receive a call and voicemail the following morning. When I called back, I immediately received an answer and was able to schedule a phone visit within a few weeks. My previous doctor's office allowed people to schedule appointments online through their patient portal or via text, which I found helpful. I do wish this was the case with this office. I also wish I could see after visit care instructions and information on the patient portal, as I can be forgetful with verbal instructions and would like to be able to refer back on the specific directions my doctor has given. Overall, I like this office, but having a more modern way of scheduling appointments and accessing my health data would make it 5 stars.

This review is for the office staff and not the doctor himself. I changed PCP's last month, when I…read morecalled for my initial appointment, I was told the soonest was a month out, I'm a diabetic and needed to be seen to receive a refill so as inconvenient as it was + having to go a full month without my medication, I decided to wait it out. Fast forward to this week, I call to confirm my appointment and I'm told they don't have one for me until May, another 5 weeks without medication. When I asked how this could have happened, the person I was talking with said they don't know, and there's nothing that could be done. The level of professionalism is seriously lacking with their appointment setter and level of care provided when speaking with someone that had a genuine concern for their own health, wasn't just disrespectful, but to brush it off as they did was more upsetting than them dropping the ball on my appointment. I hope their calls are recorded so management can pull the call and hear it for themselves. I had to call my insurance and change PCP's, my new doctors office heard what happened, seen me today and got me all squared away. If you're having issues being seen, I'd recommend trying other providers, because while I'm sure Dr. Baluyut is a fine physician, his office staff needs a serious reality check.

During the call, she repeatedly asked for my name and basic information multiple times, even after I answered several times clearly. The conversation became very confusing, and instead of handling it professionally, she repeatedly said "oh my gosh," laughed during the call, and spoke to me in a rude tone. When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.
