We just had Express Window Services replace all of our windows and two large sliding glass doors…read more These had last been updated sometime in the 1980s and were all aluminum frame and badly beat up and leaking. It was a large job so we got four quotes, and Express Windows was the least expensive by a fair bit. In fact, we almost ruled them out because we thought it would be safer to avoid the cheapest option! But, they were also super professional, very flexible in working with us to put together the best package for our home, and were the only company of the four to proactively share details of our TPU rebate options (no one else even mentioned it!). The install took four days and they were extremely professional and respectful about wearing masks around our home and laying down dropcloths everywhere they went to protect our floors and furniture. I never saw anyone without a mask on, which we really appreciated as we had some anxiety about having workers in our home for four days during a pandemic. Finally - the final product is great quality. Our house is warmer, more aesthetically pleasing and QUIETER! We live next door to some extremely barky dogs and I was curious to see what impact new windows would have, so I downloaded an OSHA app to measure sound. With the old windows, the max barking level came in at 60.1 dB. With the NEW windows, the max barking level came in at 45.3 dB. 15 points of sound buffering! 10/10 would hire again.

That same day they claimed a trim piece was missing on our window and wanted to charge us an additional $158 to replace. For a $1, $2 item maybe? We sent an email expressing our shock and frustration with that estimate and declined the outrageously priced trim piece. We asked for an update for our new glass. I followed up on Friday after 0 reply. I was told the owner would call me back. That didn't happen. I woke up Monday morning to an EMAIL from the receptionist saying they decided to refund my money and quit the project. Zero explanation. Zero apology. I called for an explanation and was met by an insensitive woman who offered zero apology for wasting my time. Now I am back to square 1 with the window needing replacement. This was a complete waste of my time.

The quotes for this were more than expected for such a small balcony. Our home is 27 years old with LP siding and we decided to get bids to have our siding replaced as well and make a substantial investment in our home and within our projected budget. Bids were secured for the balcony and the siding from several contractors. We met with Leo Redford of AMPRO Builders who let us know that they could do both projects and within our budget! AMPRO Builders received a good BBB rating, good reviews, and we were very impressed with Leo's knowledge and professionalism. Leo gave us some ideas for the exterior of our home that we really liked and hadn't thought of before and we moved forward. Leo maintained communication with us throughout the three-week project and conducted a few walk-through inspections and addressed any miscellaneous concerns we and/or he may have had. Our home looks totally new and different with a greater street curb appeal. We are very satisfied with the experience we had with AMPRO, Leo Redford, and foreman Nester and his crew.
