They were very professional and informative through the whole project. They made a mistake and took ownership of it and came back out to repair it (needed 1-2 more hole vents in my eaves). More so, a couple years later, when I was getting chimney work done, it was noted I had a leak along my chimney. We have a 35 year old house that has cedar siding.  The south end takes a beating between the…read morewinter "Pineapple Express" storms and the summer sun.  Over time, even though it was painted regularly, the siding failed.  Finding some rot last summer, we decided to have this south end's siding replaced.  Do we select cedar again or something like James Hardie "HardiePlank"? Although I'm now retired, I worked for a company that was the major supplier of wood cellulose to James Hardie USA.  I was the salesman to Hardie.  Knowing what I know of HardiePlank, I decided to go with something "bullet proof" that could stand up to the harsh elements we have on that end of the house and offer a warranty. Doing on-line research, I saw that many said they could install Hardie products, but only a few were rated "Elite Preferred" by James Hardie. My memory of Hardie was the product failures are mostly caused by improper handling and installation.  Having the siding installed by manufacturer standards was important to me. A few "Elite Preferred" siding contractors came out to give is a bid.  Kurt of Northern Pacific did their bid.  He was so informative!  Due to my past relationship with James Hardie, I am not the "normal" Hardie customer.   Kurt was the most direct and clear - no sales bluster.  On that basis, I chose Northern Pacific. This was comparatively a small job and they were able to squeeze it in just before Thanksgiving.  I was concerned it would be done in the late Fall with risk of weather damage when the side was opened up.  A few my nervous calls to Michelle (NP's general manager) assured me all would be done with out rain risk.  Just before the install date, Ben (the site foreman) came to do some final job scoping.  He was also very good and clear in answering my many questions and concerns. The crew who did the install was first rate.  They really hustle!  The cedar siding tear down did reveal some damage to the under plywood sheeting and even the structural house frame due to years of moisture getting through the wood siding.  The crew  replaced the plywood and did repairs to the rotty house frame.  The City of Olympia inspector checked the game plan off before it was done.  Within about 3 days it was done start to finish. Care was even given to make sure the profile of the new lap siding matched the pattern of siding on the adjacent side.  Visually, they look the same. Real craftsmen! The yard was clean when they were done and no damage to the house plants.  That end of the house looks super! If I had one word to summarize the Northern Pacific Exteriors experience, it is communication.  What was promised was delivered.  My many, many questions were answered. Ben the foreman often sought me out to give me a progress update as the job was being done.  Considering the rot found, this was especially helpful.  Daily, Michelle would call to ask me how the day's work went. We totally recommend Northern Pacific and will use them again should the need arise.

Not only respectful, always prompt, clean, they did a great job. I have since hired Almaraz Construction to complete my interior remodel of my round house which is challenging and unique. Drywalling a round home is a huge challenge. They did an amazing job and it looks fantastic. They are now installing a Murphy bed and a new bathroom vanity. He came to our home on time and did a thorough walk around our home and gave us a detailed bid. For reference we had most of our siding replaced, and the entire outside of our home painted, including front door, gutters, along with some other repairs. I found Jose and crew, to be professional at every turn, I liked that he had a detailed contract and several options for payments. His price was fair after receiving another bid. It is a lot of trust having work done in and around your home, Jose met and exceeded my high expectaions of doing an excellent, and detailed job. He takes pride in his work. The quotes for this were more than expected for such a small balcony. Our home is 27 years old with LP siding and we decided to get bids to have our siding replaced as well and make a substantial investment in our home and within our projected budget. Bids were secured for the balcony and the siding from several contractors. We met with Leo Redford of AMPRO Builders who let us know that they could do both projects and within our budget! AMPRO Builders received a good BBB rating, good reviews, and we were very impressed with Leo's knowledge and professionalism. Leo gave us some ideas for the exterior of our home that we really liked and hadn't thought of before and we moved forward. Leo maintained communication with us throughout the three-week project and conducted a few walk-through inspections and addressed any miscellaneous concerns we and/or he may have had. I never could get a consult as they kept coming up with excuses for canceling or delaying our…read moreappointments. First appt was set for a Sunday in February and they called an hour before the appt to let me know the consultant's car broke down and he couldn't make it. It just happened to be an unusually nice day and I was suspicious. I decided I was not going to use such an unreliable company because I felt someone could have come out in his place, or he could borrow a car if it was that important to him. A couple months go by and I'm ready to go forward on my window replacement project so I thought I would give Window Nation another chance and scheduled them as part of my three quotes. Both the first two companies were right on time for the appts, then along comes Window Nation calling 15 minutes before our appt to let me know that the consultant is running late because of traffic and he will be about a half hour late. The was the last straw for me. I wouldn't have chosen them anyway at this point because they were so undependable that getting them here to do the work would probably be a hassle too. I told them to forget the appt they would just be wasting my time at this point. I would never call the again for anything!!!

This is not a reputable company. I got their information at a Seattle Center home show (my first…read moremistake - the "show" was very small and felt like walking through an email spam folder, as various booths cat-called to try to get you to come over to their booth). I had one of their representatives comes to my house and give a bid. Their rep was a very nice young guy. After I signed a contract however, I heard nothing for weeks. I tried unsuccessfully for some time to get any response. Finally I received an email, and it generically stated that they were unilaterally cancelling our contract. I've asked for an explanation as to why, but nobody will respond. There are lots of other installers out there - stay away from these guys. By the way, their sales documents highlight the 2 founders (brothers?), but this company was actually acquired a few years ago by an investment firm. So this is far from being the locally owned family business that they portray themselves as.
