I got bids, and was the most impressed with Danny L at Signature Windows. We had a tight deadline because the home was going on the market and access to the window, especially in the rain, was really challenging. Meeting the deadline, and the safety of the installers, were non-negotiable. Danny came out the very next day to measure the Window From Hell and, not only did he give me the best price, but his company was the only one that had all the scaffolding equipment readily available at no extra charge. The window arrived sooner than expected, and installation was quickly scheduled to meet the deadline. Then we hit a snag: some epic rain made the cedar roof too slippery for safe conditions. Brent and his crew of expert (and very brave) installers rigged up a safe way to haul this brand-new Mother of ALL Windows up to the second floor and install it using very long ladders, secure scaffolding, and harnesses. I think we had 4 or 5 installers for this job. It took all day to get the old Window From Hell out and the new Mother of All Windows installed. But what a job! Perfect caulk lines, perfect cleaning of the glass, perfect clean-up of the job site, indoors and out. Job done ON TIME, SAFELY, and at an excellent price. If Signature can handle my Window From Hell, I am very confident they can install ordinary double-hung windows that exceed your expectations for quality, price, timeliness, and workmanship. I highly recommend Signature Windows.

This attention to detail that was instilled in me making that bed in boot camp was playing out now. It couldn't just be OK. Everything had to be perfect ! This is what I witnessed with Raymond my installer from Signature Window & Doors. I purchased top of the line Marvin Fiberglass windows & sliding doors but what's the use getting the best if it's installed wrong. With Raymond's years of experience, which really showed, the speed and precision my windows and doors were installed was amazing. Looking out my crystal clear windows & doors I couldn't tell anyone was here, cleanup inside and out was impeccable ! The whole team at signature windows and doors are great to work with. From sales to front office to install team. All Top Notch. So nice to work with a company like this. Would highly recommend this local company. Ralph in Des Moines Wa

Boy did they ever! Over the course of two weeks we got the pleasure of working with excellent crews (Denzel, Jordan, Ricky, Justin, Christiano, Andy, and a bunch more whose names I've forgotten) who made construction in my house as pleasant as possible. The install crews were extremely efficient, clean, and thorough - we were always able to live in the place at the end of the day, and every bit of install looks immaculate. These folks are truly some of the best that I've ever worked with to get something done in my place, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arose. Their showroom has a great display of the products that they offer so you can get a decent idea of what you're buying. I found it really helpful in selecting our doors, and what we bought was very much what they had on display.

It was amazing to watch them work, with efficiency, intelligence, and good humor. Working from a scaffolding against a steeply pitched roof is not easy but they made it SEEM easy. They put down mats and put up plastic to protect their work areas (and our house). They kept us informed. They showed us all the features of our new windows and door. They were nice people. We are so happy. Thank you, guys! Of course, this was the end of a process that started six weeks before, when we first met with Lake Washington Windows and Doors. It's been a solid relationship. They communicate well, deliver quality products, and send guys like Andy & Fatu to install them. In our case, they were even able to finish the project well before the originally estimated date. Congrats LWWD, your process is top notch.

Everyone at Kot's was so great we requested a quote for replacing the rest of the windows in the original structure which were installed last week. The whole team was fantastic to work with from start to finish. I had a lot of quotes, some cheaper but none with the level of integrity and pride in their service that I found at Kot's. Second, they are balanced, and open and close smoothly. And third, and perhaps most importantly, the bifold doors aren't falling off the tracks anymore. Replacing the hardware was also a huge improvement, with levers that are easier to use. Eric and his team did such a great job with installation, and I really appreciated all of the suggestions. Several of the door frames weren't standard, and rather than ordering custom doors, Eric suggested reframing the opening, which saved us a lot of money. Another closet wasn't the standard depth, and Eric designed a closet with built-in shelves that work perfectly for the space and for storage. I couldn't be happier with the work, and I highly recommend Seattle Doors & Closets.

We suspected this would be an expensive project, so for years, we just put it off. Finally, last year we decided to get it done. In addition to the closet doors, we also replaced 5 interior doors for "free" (I say "free" because there were other costs associated with the interior doors). Yes, this was an expensive project--there's no sugarcoating that. BUT, it was worth it. Someone comes out for initial measurements. Then, you go to the showroom to pick your doors, and get a breakdown in pricing. The cost of the doors adds up quickly (e.g. knobs, installation cost, etc.). But, they're not trying to pressure you into anything. Once you place the order, it takes several weeks for the doors to come. In the meantime, someone comes back out to do more precise measurements. The install took a full day and a couple of hours the next day. After watching them work through some challenges with the install (e.g., crooked walls), I began to understand why it costs so much. I mean, I don't think we would've gotten close to the same results going with a big box hardware store. It's been about a year, and our doors still look great. We just wish we would've tackled this project sooner!

Picture this:…read moreshattered glass panes on my front door, a dozen contractors telling me "just replace the whole door" (aka "give us more money"), and me slowly losing hope faster than a snowman in July. Enter FDC Glass, cape flapping in the wind (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the vibe). Not only was their quote actually reasonable, but they didn't hit me with the classic contractor combo of upsells and surprise charges. They even sealed up my entrance while working on the door - no extra fee, no fuss, just good old-fashioned service. The result? My door looks fantastic, my wallet isn't crying, and I'm singing their praises louder than carolers in December. I've already told my HOA about them, and you bet I'll be calling them for my other properties. TL;DR: FDC Glass = Christmas miracle workers who actually fix what's broken instead of trying to sell you a whole new house. 10/10 would recommend!

Update: Since…read moreposting this review the company has continued to threaten me by emailing me directly. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.
