There's a sign outside the store that reads "Area's Best Breakfast Sandwich". You know, what?…read more They're right. Not just that, but you get some bang for your buck as their sammy's (at least the one I had) were loaded and reasonably priced fer sure. From the outside and when you walk it it looks like a...little country store. And indeed it is, with the kinda stuff you find at a country store along with some locally made items. Everything from fishing bait to jars of pickled things. But behind the counter is a nice lady who not only runs the register, but also takes and makes your food to order. So taking that in account, it may take a minute, but really not that long. Seriously I've had drive through's take longer. Anyhoo, off their menu my eyes immediately went to a sammy called The Widow Maker. I mean with a name like that how could one resist? Here's the menu description: "WIDOWMAKER Breakfast Sandwich Are you HUNGRY? This will definitely fill you up! 2 eggs + cheese with all 3 meats (Sausage Patty, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Black Forest Ham).' Sounds like a lot and not just that, it looked like a lot. And to top it off, it tasted as good as it reads. Definitely filled me up. Can't speak of the other items on the menu, but the party I was with ordered different items and I can attest that they were just as happy with their food as I was. And though this isn't a sit down type of establishment, you can take your food to go, walk across the street with your sammy and coffee, find a picnic table and enjoy a nice view of the Mohawk River. Weather depending of course.

The Rebel Chef says: Among America's best diners…read more Take that to the bank! First off, the name 'Chuck Wagon' is a nod to the Old West; where cowmen and cowboys used to pull along a wood wagon, which had many covers and a hatch in the back, where the cook would cut stuff, prepare meals & drink and prepare meat. This is a genuine name - do not ever get rid of this diner! Anything you could possibly want or look for in diner atmosphere: is right here. The atmosphere is professional and bright. The elder gentleman, quickly stopped at my table to say "hello". We spoke a few minutes about where we were both from and sports. I made a promise, to return - which I so far did not have time to. Now I will. And this is my review! My breakfast was epically badass! Truly. Totally and utterly and perfectly prepared. No burns. I ordered a poached egg, and that chef in the kitchen did it better than I would have. Better than me. So cool! Not only that, but my entire dish was flavorful beyond belief (see delicious pics). The eggs were 'country' eggs - they tasted soo much better. The sausage was also very unique and tasty - it was nicely roasted and had a nice sear. The casing was a throwback to when real butchers made real meats! Not the tofu, cardboard-meat that J-Lo, little starving millennials and Taylor try to put in our manly bodies. Real flavor! Real meat! Strong coffee! The service too, was so genuine, so happy and polite it was a breath of fresh air when compared to many places where waitresses have just blank stares and that 'deer in the headlight' ('got to pay my kids' bills because I married a dummy')-type brainlessness. It doesn't matter how you look, where you're from; if you are a biker in leather or a guy in a tie: you will get positive country vibes only and warm friendliness. Chris' Chuck Wagon Diner is awesome! I am thinking about going back tomorrow. The food is craftily made, eclectic in variation and tasty. Please order what is on the menu!! Epic place. Doing it right! Farmhands, workers and cowboys everywhere, love this place! Review: 5++

The staff were efficient, kind and knowledgeable about their offerings. My chai latte was delicious! The food was great! I enjoyed everything, except the strawberry macha cookie. The only strawberry part of the cookie was just a thin drizzle of strawberry icing, otherwise it was just macha. I wish it had some freeze dried strawberry chunks in the cookie for some discernible strawberry flavor snd more icing. Otherwise just rename it a Macha.............strawberry cookie. Lol

We wanted a bacon egg cheese sandwich but wanted to substitute the bacon and was told they can't do that. Brie/fig sandwich: delicious combo with great bread. Squash soup: good but little watery and under flavored Cranberry Orange loaf: yummy buttery flavor with limited cranberries and hard to detect any orange. Ancient grain salad: very good cold salad with assortment of healthy ingredients like pumpkin seeds & cranberries Hot tea: only one option which was earl grey; high quality but would like plain black as an option. Place is warm and cozy and staff pleasant. Prices little high but fair Will return.

Each time it was super fresh, carefully made, and very tasty. Although I have only had it a couple of times, the chicken salad sub is so good. It's very flavorful. I subbed the rosemary parmasean bread and really like it. I placed online orders for pickup. Walking in, the interior is really clean and presentable. It's like they could shoot an ad for Jersey Mike's in there, everything is just on point. There's a small space for dining and a very clean restroom. There are also some picnic tables and a bench outside next to a green space (that is for sale so will probably be developed at some point). The staff are super friendly. I was greeted immediately each time upon walking in, smiles and politeness. Honestly, above and beyond what I expect from a chain sub shop (and I don't mean that in a negative way, it's just a tough job and not tip-based, although you can tip). I did have a mistake on one of my subs. I was taken care of immediately with a sincere apology and speedy service. This location has won me over. Always great quality and always exactly what I am looking for. Jeff and his family are always willing to help me out when I am looking for something different. Given they get their supplies wholesale, I am not disappointed when they cannot. After all, it is a small town and not everyone cooks and eats what I ask for. We often call ahead for special sized cuts, or if I am looking for a bulk order. If I call early enough in the day I can pick them up by that afternoon. Otherwise, they will be ready by the day and hour they tell you. On the customer side of the counters is a perfect supply of the daily needs... milk, bread, condiments, snacks, some fresh vegetables, and most other general cooking needs. A perfect stop on the way home from work to get those quick-grab-staples. Their pre-prepped meals (chicken cordon bleu, stuffed porkchops, marinated chicken breasts, bbq ribs, etc.) and premade sides (potato salads, mac salads, tortellini salads, etc.) are consistently available and nicely done. Their recipes are well seasoned and ready to eat, but easily adapted in your own kitchen to hit that flavor your mom used to make. From the deli, the Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses are always as expected, but don't miss out on their own baked/roasted meats. They are without a doubt competing against their BH meats. When it is time for a sandwich, their subs are one of the best in the area. My only gripe would be that the rolls they use for the subs are not on the bread rack for me to buy and take home. I will admit though, I have never asked to buy them. Always a great experience. I have added several photos of meals we have prepared using Syron's products.
