I purchased five regular tanning bed sessions from this tanning salon. While using my last session, an employee named Caleb offered to upgrade me to a Level 1 bed free of charge if I purchased 100 points for $275 to use in the future. I agreed. Now, a year later, the owner, Ann, is telling me I'm missing 10 points and claiming the upgrade was not free. She initially tried to blame it on a separate incident where my tanning bed shut off within the first 10 seconds, and I had to call the front desk to restart it. Apparently, that was documented as two sessions in one day, which makes no sense. It's really disappointing to hear that an employee's word means nothing, even after I explained the situation. I took note of every session I went, who checked me in and how many point I was suppose to have left . This is not how you run a business by backtracking on what was promised and refusing to stand by your staff's word. read more

I used to live in northern California where a tanning salon was a nesessity if you wanted a tan. However, after moving to the desert getting a tan meant sitting out in extreme heat, which was not a fun thing. So i headrd back to a salon and glad i found this place close to my home. I have been going to Vibrant Tanning Studios over one year and love it!!! I spray tan doing clear and the darkest level and it looks amazing! It's not orange and my whole body looks tan. I've never been a sun lover, so spray tanning makes me look just as good as sun tanning. I buy a package so it is very reasonable. The best part is that it is so quick. I'm in and out in a few minutes. If I have a special event or a vacation coming up, I do a double and boy does that come out well and lasts a few weeks! The owner, Ann, is a lovely person too. I love this salon... And, the owner Ann is friendly and helpful and just an overall a good human being. As for my experience with the beds... I use the red light/tanning bed and I come about two times a week and my vitamin D level has increased tremendously. I had to take prescription strength vitamin D for years just to try to get my level to a normal level, but since coming to the salon I do not have to take the supplement any longer. Amazing after so many years of trying to get my vitamin D level up, tanning with this red light has done it... and the red light makes me feel amazing! read more

After trying two of the tanning places in La Quinta and feeling sorely disappointed, I found this spot and boy, am I glad I did! MUCH nicer than any tanning salon I've ever visited in the past 20 years. Ann greeted me at the front desk and was very friendly and informative, spent plenty of time giving me the lowdown on all of the options and pricing. Clean and nicely decorated, this salon is in the Albertson's shopping center. The woman I worked with, Anne, was gracious, friendly and has a great rapport with her customers. It's hard to believe some of these other reviews, specifically after reading a certain poor review it definitely makes me wonder if the competition is purposely bad mouthing this salon. It's a bit suspicious that they seem to be promoting a competitor in their review. Food for thought. But back onto this salon; I've never had a bad experience at this salon and the owner is always super friendly and accommodating! She welcomes and converses with me every time I've come in! Though the salon opened just a few minutes after the posted time today, in my experience it hasn't been a regular occurrence. The salon is very clean and has a great atmosphere. The employees are all very sweet. The prices are great and the package deals are even better! They are the only salon in the valley that has a versa spa spray tanning machine and it's by far my favorite spray tan out there. Gives the perfect brown golden tan. I read some of the previous, negative reviews regarding the owner and I noticed that the reviews were a few years old, so I'm not sure if there was a change in ownership, but I've dealt with the owner every time I've been into the facility and she has always been extremely nice and accommodating. I've been getting booth spray tans here for a few years. Amazing spray tan and consistently good customer service

My experience here has been really positive. I'm leaving for vacation soon so I decided to go to the tanning beds a few times so get a good base tan. When I first showed up the owner was extremely accommodating and took the time to explain all the beds to me. I then chose a medium bed and purchased five sessions as well as a tanning lotion. The prices also seemed really reasonable compared to prices I had seen at past tanning salons. I have now been back four times and each time it's been great. The beds are clean and I've never had to wait. I wouldn't definitely recommend this place. Side note: they close at 7pm but you actually can't walk in after 6:30pm so that's important to know if you're trying to get in at the last minute. read more

My husband and I walked into this place to sign up, he had been in one time before and took a picture of their pricing menu. When we inquired about a yearly contract he said they no longer sell those packages. I inquired why they are still on the menu, he said my husband should have been told, my husband was right there he was never told. He also said they haven't been selling the yearly contract for a year plenty of time to change the menu. The menu is a small sheet of paper, not difficult to remake and post accurate pricing. He did try to upsell us $149 package month to month instead of the yearly contract for $69 a month. We didn't sign up so I don't know about the beds but after the poor customer service and attitude we received from the gentleman over their advertised pricing I felt I did not want to give my hard earned money to this establishment. I was looking forward to tanning but disappointed in how poor the customer service was. read more

I'm sorry I have to even give the place one star. The owner is horrible. You are wasting your money. No color in her 15 minute beds, that she allows you to only go in for 10 minutes. And do not purchase unlimited as she only allows three sessions a week, and they must be spread out. She slammed the door on me in my private room, and treated me poorly for paying her quite a bit of money for their services? Bad day? Don't take it out on your customers.No grace! She has many clients but yet she always remembers my name and remembers things I tell her about my job or travels and asks me about them, which I find amazing. I have come here since prom 2013 and there isn't another person I'd trust for the airbrush spray tan! Got airbrushed last year before Coachella Fest and the tan was dark like I asked but so natural and beautiful and lasted over a week! She is very accommodating and sweet and gives you exactly what you ask for! If you're looking for a great spray tan in the desert you should really give Vibrant Tanning a try! Always leave feeling like I spent the week sun bathing in the Bahamas and it only took 15 minutes or so. I love this place! read more

I honestly would have never bought a month of unlimited tans with this place if I had known they're business hours prior. I couldn't believe how early they closed. I mean 7pm during the week and then 6pm I'm the weekends. With my work schedule it's been really hard to make it there because of their hours. Also, I wouldn't have gone here if they told me at the time I paid that they have a rule of no tanning everyday or going two or more days in a row. I walked in there and she said out of no where don't you remember the rules we have about tanning everyday and I had no idea what she was talking about because I was never told. She told me it's a policy of theirs because they want people to tan safely. Which I understand where she's coming from but if I'm paying for unlimited tans then I should have the choice of how often I go or how many days in a row I go. So technically it isn't unlimited tanning because of that policy I mentioned earlier that was not told to me originally. This place is nice as far as cleanliness goes. But in comparison to the few other places I've been to this is by far my least favorite. And I've been to some really really nice places that had way better deals and their prices were much lower. I have been tanning here since 2010 the owner Ann is super nice and always pleasant I always feel like family when I'm there. Ive been tanning in booths mostly all my life & I've got to say this is the best Tanning Salon that I've ever experience. The service is great the booths are terrific I always get a beautiful tan and I love the spray tan it's the best. If you need a quick tan for that special date or event try the VersaSpa spray tan, watch out you'll get addicted to looking super FAB! I also like the red light therapy I only had a few sessions before I realized that my lines on my face were disappearing I was amazed how red light therapy works and so quickly it's the best kept secret out there. unbelievable!!!! Go in today to ride out the rest of this month that is already paid for. I'm on the phone with a client, and the owner has the audacity to question me about my first review! Who does that? Well here's the story in full since I have no reason to curtail my review. I went in the day BEFORE Thanksgiving, I got out of work at 3:30 and arrived right before 4 pm (not 10 minutes till 5!) *it only takes me 15 mins tops to even get to this place from Jefferson st. I use a 15 minute bed and had tanned twice, once 9 mins and the second time 11 minutes. I'm Latina and have a lot of olive in my skin. My melanin perks up very quick in tanning beds and 11 mins in a 15 min bed should definitely had made me pink.. Not even a touch of color! So either the bed is garbage and old or the bulbs need to be changed. But according to the owner, who's supposedly a certified specialist (whatever that means), I should have been in the bed the full 15 mins.... Ummm, no! I've been tanning for 20 years and I know my skin better than any "specialist" around. Not to mention, if I need to be in the bed for 15 mins to even get color, why did she start me out at 9? Anyhow, to go in and be confronted in the manner she did is absolutely nuts! My client couldn't believe what was happening. I've owned a business and run one now.. If I close at 8pm and a customer comes in at 7:55, I'm serving them!! that's how you keep your customers lady! Like I said, I went in the day before Thanksgiving and was told "we're closed".... everything was still on and the doors were open. I mentioned that I thought they didn't close until 7pm (which is actually ridiculously early since during the holidays a lot of people have to work later)....But she tells me she closes early cause of the holiday... I mentioned that thanksgiving wasn't until the next day and all I got was a rude "well we're closed sweetie"..... This lady has a lot of audacity and nerve! After reading the other reviews, trying the beds, having the must unprofessional confrontation, and 80 something dollars later, I walked out. She had the nerve to say "come on sweetie" after arguing with me while I have a client on the phone who's like "WHAT THE HELL?". You don't speak to a damn near 40 year old on such condescending tones! She had the nerve to tell me that yelp reviews are bad for business. Well guess what "sweetie" your confrontational attitude and lack of willingness to allow your clients to use the bed they pay for on a day that was not a holiday in the first place, is bad for business!! At your age you should know better. I'm disgusted by the way she handled this issue and thank God for forums like this so people can be warned about what a low level business this is. I should have read the reviews before stepping foot into that dark, drab, hot mess of tanning salon. Never again! read more

9-28-16 I was a customer for over 2 years. Had recently began the Red Light Therapy in addition to the "Unlimited" tanning membership. My problem is although paying for Unlimited Tanning in the best tanning bed, it became annoying to be restricted to (2) days per/week one week and all hell would break loose if you ever attempted to go more than (3) times per/week in the 12 minute bed. I tried to get an explanation of the meaning of the word "Unlimited"? I was given a line of B/S that the government was the reason for restrictions on tanning and when questioned on this was told some mumbo jumbo that it's not the law just some proposals tossed around. I believe the the reason is, everytime you don't tan owner saves money because the bed is not in use. I just got sick of getting confronted about how many times I tanned that week. Finally wasn't worth the hassle. I can afford to buy my own bed and put in my house, but instead found another place that welcomes my money. read more

The owner (Ann) claims to be a Christian woman yet she will steal a tan from each package of ten u get & she says you can't use your lotion on the bed, when it says on the bottle it's made for tanning beds. She only wants you to buy the lotion from the salon. My sister and I both quit going to the salon because she ripped us both off so many times! I always got a package of 10 of the low grade bed then one day she said I can't buy that anymore... And the next day I went in and The other employee said I could... I asked the employee several times if she was sure I can do that & she said absolutely! The owner is not a nice woman at all! She only wants to make money even if it means ripping you off & stealing your tans & not having a.c on in the middle of the summer! She lost my business and my sister! Which is a lot of money!' Also I called today and she still hasn't changed the flyer... It says one price and she'll give me a different price... Keep asking why she doesn't change it? she picks and chooses who to give the packages too. I am pretty sure the ladies from Big Horn come in and she would never deny them.
