I have been seeing her since Dec '10 somewhat regularly. Dr Lindsay has put me on a path to recovery from my issues in a way that none of my other doctors ever have (I have had neck pain for 20 years that was relieved after the first visit- it still comes back but the frequency is dramatically decreased). She has a very gentle touch but dramatic results. I really don't know how she does it or how to explain it to other people. After having chiro's twist your body unnaturally into painful positions what she does is incredibly subtle. I can do things now that I haven't been able to do in a long time, and without injuring myself every time. I swear she is magic... I also sent my teenaged son to her for curvature in his back and stiffness in his hips (he couldn't bend over at the waist). After one visit he increased his mobility significantly and grew an inch! He has seen her a handful of times- his physique is completely different- and normal now. He thinks she is magic too... She is a very kind person, a great listener, amazing healer, and fosterer of holistic care. She makes great referrals to other doctors when she believes it may benefit your overall health. Perhaps that's why the other lady on Yelp was unhappy. Instead, Dr. Attaman offers alternative *treatment*. I've had nerve blocks, spinal cord injections, cranial sacral work, and shockwave therapy on an injured elbow. I also received excellent consulting on an MRI for a collapsing cervical disk that another had doctor misdiagnosed. If Dr. Attaman hadn't reviewed it and urged me to schedule surgery (with a different doctor) urgently, I might have lost function in my bowel and legs. "You mean I pay even MORE money on top of what I'm already paying for insurance?" I looked into it further both as a concept and as something that had been done successfully on the Eastside. At $100 per month, I decided to give it a try. She said I could phone, text, or email her any day at any time. I didn't believe it at first. But sure enough, I've texted her at night on weekends and she has responded in just a few minutes. Amazing! I don't make a habit of it because Dr. Acher has to live a life, too. My first in-office appointment wasn't even an annual physical, but she talked to me for about 40 minutes. Nothing was hurried. I never felt as if she had to rush to the next patient. Since I take personal responsibility for ensuring my appointments are accurate I've only had one or two miscues on scheduling over ten years; usually due to my error. In both instances Dr. Cavanaugh and his receptionist were very forgiving; and accommodating as much as possible in rescheduling. Now that the scheduling system is automated with an email reminder I haven't missed or mixed up an appointment date.
